“You might see me in a brief appearance on Junior Masterchef”
Says Chef Sanjeev Kapoor who even as he is busy with his own channel Food Food is open to working with other channels.
Sanjeev Kapoor having being part of the third season of MasterChef India on Star Plus, the sauve chef will be sorely missed by the team working on it as well as by the participants who eagerly wait for his suggestion and appreciation.
At the launch of two new shows for his channel Food Food, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor also spoke about MasterChef, “You can see that I am totally busy with my channel and with these two new shows coming up it is going to be more hectic. As much I would have loved to be a part of the latest season of MasterChef which is for the kids this year, I cannot judge the show,” says the soft spoken chef who launched the afternoon show Hi Tea hosted by Chef Ajay Chopra and Out of the World Series… Africa with Chef Sanjeev Kapoor himself.
That is also the reason he is not able to do other shows on Television. Earlier he has displayed his dancing abilities in the first season of the celeb dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaaancing with the Stars on Sony TV in 2006. However times have changed from then to now, with Chef Sanjeev Kapoor turning into an entrepreneur with his many restaurants and also with the launch of his own channel entirely dedicated to Food.
So, will we see him on any other reality show on Indian Television? “Where is the time now? I don’t have the time and then don’t want to make a half-hearted contribution to other shows. However, I am always open to working together with other channels and if some opportunity comes wherein we can tie up with Food Food then why not?” he claims.
“In fact, you might see me in a brief appearance on Junior MasterChef which is to start soon. The makers have approached me and I might come in for an episode or so,” adds the Chef who has written many a cookbook for kids. If that is the case it will be a wonderful experience for the young minds who are participating in the show this year round.
A proud father of two young daughters, he does not regret that both have chosen different professions, “My daughters are all grown up now. While my elder daughter 19 years old is pursuing law, the younger one who is 16 years is an athlete.”
