Rakesh asks Sameer why he is making him look like a crazy. Let Naina be here. Don’t do this to me. Naina apologizes to him but he is in tears. People look at me strangely. I have become a joke! He stops Naina from intervening. Rakesh says I was an ordinary librarian. I dint earn much money but I love my dignity very much but my kids played with it today. Naina and Sameer beg him to forgive them this time. We dint think of the consequence. Rakesh refuses and heads out of the house.

Preeti tells her MIL she will go to Naina’s house. Rakesh will be upset after finding out the truth. Nirmala ji tells her against it. I told them many times not to lie but now they have to handle it themselves. A cloth gets torn. She asks Preeti to bring needle and thread. Preeti brings new one. Nirmala

ji is unhappy to hear that she gave the old one to Naina. Preeti offers to bring it back but Nirmala ji tells her against it. Don’t give anything without asking me from now. Preeti agrees. Nirmala ji finds the tea bland.
Jatin is singing song. Guard goes to him. Naina and Sameer chase Rakesh downstairs trying to stop him but he slips from the stairs because of a banana peel. Naina and Sameer look at him in shock. They all rush to help him.

All the society members have gathered at Naina’s place. Nirmala ji asks them how Rakesh’s condition turned into this. Naina and Sameer stand there quietly with bowed heads. Doc shares that he did Rakesh’s plaster. His foot should remain in the same position for the next 12 hours. He hands them a prescription and leaves. Preeti tells Naina she will send food but Nirmala ji makes fuss of it for a second but then drops it. Preeti tells Naina to call her in case she needs anything. Naina nods.

Voiceover – Naina:
We don’t realise how a bridge of lies is formed one by one. When it collapses, you fall in your eyes too! It broke our outlook that day that our lies aren’t hurting anyone. Intentionally or unintentionally, we did hurt Papa!

Naina calls someone and tells them something in mute.

Sameer does not move from Rakesh’s side even for a second. Naina asks him to sleep as he has class tomorrow but he declines. They take care of Rakesh together. Sameer keeps his foot over his legs to maintain the same position. Naina asks him to rest but he tells her to take it as penitence or punishment but he wont move from here for the next 12 hours! Zindagi Ki Yahi Reet Hai plays. He takes small naps in between. Naina brings food for him but he does not want to eat. She too sits next to Rakesh holding his hand. Both of them fall asleep in the same position.

Next morning, Rakesh wakes up and notices them thus. Sameer wakes up as he shifts. He advises Rakesh to lie in the same position as advised by doc. Rakesh points out that it is morning. We are past 12 hours. Sameer keeps his foot down carefully. It happened because of me! Rakesh blames it on his anger. You only said I am crazy and my anger did drive me crazy! I don’t know what all I said to you guys. Sameer requests him to forget what happened. Rakesh says I promised to support you in fulfilling your dream. I was about to break my promise due to my anger which is why I got punished. It was wrong of me to think so. Please forgive me. He extends his hand towards Sameer who backs off fearing he will be slapped again but Rakesh blesses him.

Voiceover – Sameer:
We were burdened with many lies. This one was the biggest one! We are so careless thinking that our parents will forgive us no matter what. We don’t realise that their pain ends up hurting us the most! That’s what happened that day.

Naina and Sameer are sleeping peacefully in each other’s arms. They wake up due to the drops of water falling over them. They sit up with a start.

Voiceover – Sameer:
Naina and I had heard about Mumbai rains. We had even planned to get drenched in rain but a leaking roof was something unexpected yet we found a chance to celebrate our love even in that extreme situation. The dripping water on a night was a lot romantic!

Naina and Sameer keep utensils on the floor as water is leaking from the roof.

Jatin sings a romantic song noticing Sahiba and pulls her tummy inside. He greets Sahiba. Maan also joins them. Jatin proposes to help Sahiba learn something but Maan assures him he will do it. Maan and Sahiba walk away holding each other close. Jatin sings a sad song.

All the society members have gathered at Naina’s house. They look at the leaks in the roof which fills all the containers very quickly. Vanita tells Sejal to look at the stuff kept behind her. Who does it belong to? Sejal removes the cover but drops it in a second.

Shubham tells Sameer to change the bucket. You can use this water to bathe. Sejal says it is the leakage issue of the person living above you. Nirmala ji says I am not responsible. I gave it to tenants. Gopal says you got the toilet seat changed. Sameer says we can also change ours so Rakesh has no problem. Rakesh reminds him to focus on the main problem. They discuss how the roof can fall around in a month. Shubham suggests waiting to avoid extra cost but Gopal speaks of an article he had once published on a similar issue. The couple died! Gopal asks them who sleeps in this room. Naina says me and Papa while Rakesh and Sameer take each other’s name. Everyone looks at them suspiciously.
