When Popatlal’s wedding in Taarak Mehta… brought bliss in Shyam Pathak’s real life

Popatlal (played by Shyam Pathak) of SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) is simply enjoying every moment of ‘being married!!’.

As seen so far, Popatlal who was eagerly waiting to get married is finally a married man now!! And his excitement has doubled up as loyal fans of Taarak Mehta… are also happy for the man. The actor has been getting a lot of text messages and mails from all across the globe congratulating him on his ‘on-screen’ shaadi.

Interestingly, this situation is giving Shyam’s real- life wife Reshmi a hearty laugh.

“She can’t stop laughing,” admits Shyam, a father of two kids.

In fact, his wife is very happy that his character Popatlal is finally a married man. That means that he will no more be troubled by concerned old ladies who used to call him regularly.

Yes, the older lot of women had actually been concerned about Shyam’s marriage not knowing that he is married in real life. Thus, they used to keep sending him marriage proposals.

Popatlal’s wedding came as a shocker to his real-life family too. “I never share the story with my family as I actually want them to watch it. So when my wife saw the wedding she couldn’t believe it was actually happening.”

In fact his 8-year-old daughter too was surprised. “Yes, my daughter Niyati too could not stop laughing.”
Looks like Poptalal’s wedding has not just come as bliss for him but also to Shyam’s real family!
