What is Tusshar Kapoor’s grouse on judging a TV show? Read on to find out…
Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor who is busy promoting his upcoming action film Shootout at Wadala (3 May release) has one grouse about judging a TV show. He is currently presiding over Colors’ standup comedy show, Nautanki the Comedy Theater along with Bollywood sex bomb Neha Dhupia.
“They seem to shoot only at night and the entire schedule takes very long to complete. I am heading there now (5pm) and hope they wrap up by a decent hour.”
Talking about the format, the brother of TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor says, “Nautanki is quite different from other big ticket reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye where you have to evaluate, analyze, criticize and then give marks. Ours on the other hand is not a competitive show, there are no winners, so we have to just enjoy the action. Neha and I roll the proceedings, encourage the contestants (Gurpreet Ghuggi, Rashmi Desai Sandhu, Kamya Punjabi and child comedian Saloni Daini) and then close the show. The most important part here is to keep concentrating so that we don’t miss the comic punches.”
Looking ahead Tusshar who has made a big name for himself playing important characters in movies like Golmaal and Kya Kool Hai Hum adds, “I would love to judge one such big competitive reality show if given a chance. I have not been offered one yet though.”
In closing Tusshar adds, “Till now film actors (Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan) were only doing nonfiction on TV but now with my Shootout at Wadala co-star Anil Kapoor producing and acting in Colors’ 24 things should change.”
