When Vishavpreet Kaur missed out on a hat-trick with Star Plus

Arjun Bijlani and Drashti Dhami-starrer Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil (Balaji Telefilms) is already creating a lot of buzz.

Naturally, any actor would love to feature in the upcoming biggie by Ekta Kapoor. Unfortunately, actress Vishavpreet Kaur just missed out on an opportunity to be a part of the show.

How and why?

Kaur, currently seen on Star Plus’s Ishqbaaaz (Four Lions), had a chance to be a part of the show, which is currently being shot in Austria but she had to let go and continue, owing to her commitment to her other show.

We have got to know that it was the channel’s decision to oust Vishavpreet from the show because as per the channel’s policy, an actor can’t be part of two shows, playing pivotal roles.

Vishavpreet says, “I am already playing an important role in Ishqbaaaz and since both shows are for Star Plus, it didn’t work out. According to the channel’s policy, they can’t repeat the same actor for two different prominent characters simultaneously. So it was decided by the channel that I would continue to be a part of Ishqbaaaz as Roop Oberoi and I am happy with the decision because I love playing Roop. Though I am a little upset that I couldn’t do Pardes… I am hoping to work with Balaji and Ekta Kapoor soon.”

With this, the actress also stated that she has missed out on a hat-trick with Star Plus.
