Viraf and Gauri’s extraordinary chemistry in Ek Boond Ishq!

They play mother and son on the show, however Gauri Tonk’s young looks made her look like anything but Viraf Patel’s mother on the show!

Recently everyone on the sets of Life OK’s Ek Boond Ishq had a hearty laugh when they saw the mother-son duo Nirmala Shekhawat (Gauri Tonk) and Mrityunjay (Viraf Phiroz Patel) in the same frame for a scene. And what was this source of amusement?

Says a source present on the sets, “Well, all this time it was implied that Mritunjaya is not Nirmala’s real son and thus she hates him so much but now it has been revealed that he is his real son.”

Clarifying it further our source adds, “Mrityunjay now turns out to be Nirmala’s illegitimate child from her boyfriend before her marriage to Thakur Jairaj Singh. After giving birth to the child, Nirmala is told by everyone around that it was a still born birth and she believes them too. However, the baby is abandoned in an orphanage by Govind Shukla. Later, when Thakur Jairaj Singh wants to adopt a child he by coincidence picks up the same child and gets him home to Nirmala who later has one son and one daughter from the Thakur too. While she loves her children, she hates Mrityunjay thinking that he is an orphan who doesn’t deserve to be in the house.”

Well, this is the drama on the sets in real life too there was much drama when the scene between the reel life mother-son duo was shot. There was much giggling around says our source, “In real life there is hardly any age difference between Viraf and Gauri and they both are almost the same age. On top of that Gauri in her character as Nirmala is seen to be wearing glamorous outfits which suit her svelte figure. In fact many thought that the two could share a sizzling chemistry if paired together! When the scenes were canned there was much buzz about this but the duo were professional and gave perfect shots each time and took the entire thing sportingly.”

While Viraf is single in real life Gauri who is married to actor Yash Tonk has an eleven year old daughter and has managed to maintain herself quite well. Both the actors were unavailable for comment.
