- Ratan informs Chaiji that she will become an atheist.
- Chaiji convinces her not to do the same.
- Veera becomes delighted as Ranvijay becomes the headman of the house.
- Nihal informs Chaiji that he will leave their house.
- Veera tries to stop him, but in vain.
- Meanwhile, Ratan and Ranvijay have a disagreement.
- Nihal enlightens Ranvijay about the duties of a headman.
- Ratan instructs Ranvijay to focus on his studies, rather than concentrating on agriculture.
