episode starts with veera whispering to ranvi that today this marriage will be fixed I bet, she goes on to say that the guy is not taking his eyes off of Gunjan.
Ranvi is unhappy and lost in thought, but nods and okays what veera is saying. ranvi gets up and leaves.
Mrs. Khurrana requests them if their son can speak to Gunjan in private, Balwant starts to object but bansuri gives her approval. Ranvi comes to stand behind the hay stack and hears the Jagjeet and Gunjan coming.
Jagjeet tells Gunjan to have a seat, he says “now i can see you well, you are very beautiful honestly..he says your mom was right even if one searches in the whole Punjab, they cannot find a girl prettier than you.”
he says you must be getting at least 10 proposals a day.Gunjan becomes puzzled and says “proposal” the guy says “rishtey” some for marriage and some for people who would like to be in love with you.
Jagjeet says there might even be some people who don’t have the courage to speak to you and hidingly die for you.
He says as I know you have spend all your life here then how come you decided to go abroad and be able to manage. Gunjan says yes it has always been my dream to go abroad and who doesn’t want to make their dream come true.
She says I will live there happily, he asks her what does she like the most about a foriegn country, she says there are such tall buildings and it’s so far even if one wants no one can come. Gunjan says I will make a small little world of mine there.
Jagjeet starts laughing at her, meanwhile he gets a call and walks away to answer it. Ranvi is listening to all this and does not look happy. Ranvi tells her that in foriegn countries there is freedom of religion and choice, everyone is equal there is no categorization of people, Gunjan smiles hearing this.
She goes up to the guy and repeats what Ranvi told her. NRI guy is impressed hearing her reply and says I think your reply earlier was a joke, you truely have the passion to go to another country and explore it. He says the appraisaible thing is that you know so much about this stuff,
Balwant asks Mr. Khurrana about their son’s work and if he is a resident or on work visa, but bansuri intrupts him by saying to finish his tea as it’s getting cold, he asks again but bansuri does not let him finish.She says he lives abroad so he must have a good job.
Gunjan comes with Jagjeet Bansuri says look they are back.Jagjeet nods his head and his mom says my son likes your daughter he says yes for the marriage. Everyone is happy baldev gets up and congratulates the groom.
The Khurrana family says now that my son has said yes and since he has to go back to Canada next week, this marriage has to take place as soon as possible.
He says we can’t do the paperwork of Gunjan without this marriage. He tells them that he wants the wedding to happen in Delhi and the engagement should be tomorrow. Bansuri agrees but Balwant says how can we do all these arrangements in such short notice, but Jagjeet’s father says we will help.
Gunjan pulls Ranvi aside and says congratulate me! she says thank you for saving me today if you hadn’t helped the guy would have thought that I am dumb and he would refuse the proposals and the sad drama would have started. She says by the way what were you doing outside ? Ranvi says I saw you going outside and thought you might need my help and came there. She says Wow this is called being a true friend.
Ranvi asks Gunjan if she is happy…she says today is such a great day it’s my birthday and lohri and this proposal and I have been wanting to get out of this place. I am really happy. she says are you happy for me ? He says ” yes I am very happy for you.”
Balwant asks Mr. Khurrana to give him time and that he has to confirm it with his daughter and think carefully about this Rishta, but they say everything is set then why delay? Balwant still stands by his word and asks for time to think. The groom’s family do not like it and say okay call us when you have made up your time. They bid adio and leave. Bansuri yells at him and says being a father don’t you know your daughter’s answer. she would have said yet.
Gunjan also comes and objects but Balwant screams at them and says he is the father and only wishes well for his daughter. He asks them to leave him alone and takes Ranvi along with him to consult with him. He asks Ranvi to tell him what he thinks about Jagjeet.
Ranvi says there wasn’t much time to find out a lot but, He seemed fine. Balwant says I also like him but all this rush for the marriage. Ranvi says but they are not wrong too, if you think carefully they need to start the paperwork for Gunjan’s visa. Balwant says I agree with you but how would I make my heard understand, would it be right to send my daughter away this far and when will she come back to see me.
Ranvi says you know Gunjan always wanted to marry someone from abroad and we must do everything that makes her happy.
veera and Karan are trying to cheer Gunjan up saying your dad will agree to this marriage and don’t worry you will go on a airplane and everything will be fine. Ranvi hears them and tells Balwant that far but at least Gunjan will be happy.He says to forget everything but remember GUnjan’s happiness. He says you ought to do what makes the one whom you love happy even if that decision makes you sad.
Ranvi tells Balwant not to break her dream but after all this the final decision is his. Balwant says I think you are right I was overthinking my decison and informs Ranvi that he will accept this proposal for Gunjan.
Balwant calls Khurrana and lets them know their agreement for the marriage and that they will talk later about the wedding preparations. Balwant thanks Ranvi for helping him make this decion. he goes to give everyone the good news.
Everyone is happy by this news except for Ranvi.
Precap:Ranvi comes home, chaiji says even the devil can’t touch you, now tell us what happened there. Ranvi remains quiet but Veera comes from behind and tells them that the marriage is fixed.
