Vaquar Shaikh plays a father on Qubool Hai
Vaquar Shaikh speaks on his role in Qubool Hai
Vaquar Shaikh is playing Rashid Ahmed Khan, the father of two grown up boys Asad and Ayan on Zee TV’s Qubool Hai. The catch here is that Karan Singh Grover who essays the role of Asad is only four to five years younger than Vaquar Shaikh. Vaquar therefore had to grow a stubble so that it seems that he has a considerable age gap from Karan. He explains, “I never sport a stubble except for when I do Punjabi films.”
Regarding his character Rashid, Vaquar says, “He is a man who is caught in a lot of personal problems. He is after all the head of the family who needs to solve all the complex problems of the household. Also both his sons will have conflicts.”
Co-stars often ask Vaquar who is a Muslim on how to pronounce certain Urdu words and he is more than happy to help them out. He reminds us, “I have already done a Muslim TV show which was one of the biggest in Asia- Heena. I hope Qubool Hai breaks the records of what was created by Heena.”
