[V] The Buddy Project 16th October 2012 Written Update

The football game is over and JJ asks the buddies to line up. He asks them what they were doing? Piddi replies that they were playing. JJ asks is that what they were doing? He kicks the ball angrily and adds that football is a team sport. And two of the buddies were not playing, Kiya and Juhi. He says to Samar and KD that their partners were not playing yet they were not bothered. To Bobby and RV he said that your buddies collided and fell down but it didn’t mean anything to you. KD says that they thought they were here to play, he didn’t know they had to babysit their buddies as well. JJ walks up to KD and says that KD really has some amazing attitude. This attitude will take him far. Far from the school, far from his career. He says to KD to pack his attitude and shove it up his…you know what? JJ says to everyone that he had told them that their buddies were their responsibility and it wasn’t confined only to class and school but in life, all the time! All of them listen with one ear and throw it out from the other. He wished that they had brain in between the ears. He gives them a 30 minute break after which he will conduct their test regarding their task. He warns that the punishment of the loser will be severe and may God save them.

He goes away from their and RV scolds Bobby for playing too seriously and it was all Bobby’s fault. Bobby retorts that she knew who was trying their best to outdo the other in the ground so RV shouldn’t say anything. Kiya goes to them and asks them to stop fighting. Panchi agrees and says that they should utilize these 30 minutes fully. Juhi asks Samar more random questions and Piddi says to Bobby that she can ask him anything, he will reply honestly. But Bobby retorts that Piddi is an idiot and that’s the eternal truth. She doesn’t want to know anything else.

In the school, Banga stops JJ and asks him what is he doing? JJ replies that he is having coffee. Banga gets irritated and says that every other student is studying while the buddies are playing football. JJ replies that Banga has such a big heart and if he wants, JJ can take the other students out for football as well. Banga is majorly irritated and says that he wants the buddies in the classroom not outside playing. JJ says that football is a part of the curriculum. Banga asks if the students can learn trigonometry by playing football? JJ counters this by asking how many times does Banga think about the maths and physics of stuff in real life, everyday? JJ says that the students can learn these subjects anytime, he is just teaching them how to live with each other. Banga says that JJ should share his curriculum with him as he is the VP of the school. JJ refuses by saying that it’s a secret and if he shares it, it won’ t be a secret. He walks away, chuckling to himself.

In the class, the pairs are sitting together. JJ comes and asks if this is the first they are giving an exam? Panchi says no, they have done it before. JJ further asks do they give an exam with their textbook on the table? Panchi again replies no. JJ says so why are they sitting with their buddies? This test is regarding their buddies and they should sit separately. He makes them sit at separate seats and hands them papers. He tells that these questions are personalized for them so their low IQ won’t be a hindrance while answering the questions. The test starts and the they write the answers. Time is up and JJ collects the papers, Piddi still needs time but JJ takes the paper. Next he hands them the papers with questions related to their buddies! The two papers were to be checked across each other and answers to be tallied which would determine the passing and failing buddies. Winners will be rewarded, losers will be punished. The buddies mumble one question to themselves:

KD – fav song of Kiya which she likes humming?
Kiya – what is in KD’s back pocket?
RV – Panchi’s weight?
Panchi – RV’s dream job?
Piddi – Bobby’s fav movie?
Juhi – other than tickling, what does make Samar laugh?

Ratta Maar from Student of the Year plays in the BG and they all write their answers. Time is up and JJ collects the papers. Piddi still needs time but JJ snatches the paper from him He arranges the papers and makes the result. Juhi asks Samar that other than tickling, Tom and Jerry makes him laugh, right? Samar shakes his head and says no, Piddi’s bhangra dancing makes him laugh. Juhi is disappointed. Once JJ is done, he makes KD, Bobby, Panchi and Samar stand. They are passed. Piddi is very happy and starts dancing Rest of them are fail. RV is against this result. He stands up and says that the checking isn’t done right because there is no way he failed the test. He demands to see the papers. JJ walks to him and says that he can show RV many things like the way to outside, the Buddy Project contract and his expulsion letter. What does he want to see? RV is silent. Before walking, he asks RV whether he remembers what JJ told him and RV nods his head, a little ashamed. RV says to camera, shit! This is bad news!

JJ announces now it’s time for rewards and punishments as they are the same thing. One buddy’s reward is other’s punishment. The losing buddies will be the slaves of their winning buddies and they have to fulfill their masters every wish and fantasy at all costs. The winners are very happy at this while the losers are a little scared. JJ makes his way outside of the classroom after he winks to the camera and says, the fun is about to begin!

In the corridor, Piddi saying to KD that even God doesn’t give people with short heights such as himself a chance and KD has a well built body. JJ has given him a golden opportunity and he should use it to take revenge on Kiya. He can make Kiya do anything like make her beg. As he says this, he has a vision of Kiya in a ragged state begging for money Piddi laughs at his own imagination. KD says that he doesn’t want to take revenge on Kiya, he wants justice. He wants her to humiliate her like she did to him. He wants her to teach a lesson in front of everyone. Her punishment will be equal to her crime, nothing more and nothing less.

They go their adda and Piddi asks KD what is he going to do? Kiya is entering that place and overhears this. KD changes the topic and asks Piddi his plans. Kiya wonders to the camera just what is KD going to make her do? Piddi says that he won’t miss this opportunity and he will make Boby realize that he is a nice guy. KD says that nice guys are useless and girls don’t like nice guys. Piddi agrees that if this was the case, Jugal Hansraj would’ve been a bigger star than Salman Khan. KD asks who is Jugal? Piddi says he is just some actor. KD advices Piddi to forget about Jugal and concentrate on being Salman. Piddi says that he can’t be Salman because if he takes off his shirt, he will feel cold KD says not in that way but that Piddi should do the exact opposite of what he has been doing till now. Piddi misunderstands this has being upside down and the scene shifts to see Piddi seeing the world upside down and some students laughing at him. He notices a magazine in a boy’s hand, stands straight and goes to him. The magazine has an article of Salman Khan. It states that Salman is the real bad guy of Bollywood but he has a heart of the gold. Piddi says that girls are crazy for Salman despite him being a bad boy. He remembers Bobby’s brothers saying Bobby’s fav movies being that of Salman. He has an idea and says to the camera that he will be the ultimate Alpha Male and show Bobby what he is made of.

Juhi and Bobby in the cafe. Juhi saying that girls don’t trust boys’ imagination that’s why they wear such revealing clothes. They show everything and leave nothing to boys’ imagination. Bobby says not all boys are like that. Juhi says that they are and they are only interested in girls showing their stuff. RV comes there and sits with them. He says that it’s high time they show some backbone. Juhi says to Bobby, see what I mean? But it is a weird thing to show. RV looks at Juhi with a stunned expression then turns to Bobby for an explanation. Bobby says that he doesn’t mean literally and it’s a figure of speech. RV continues that they should do something about this slave task. Juhi agrees and says that she has already started. RV gets excited but then disappointed when Juhi says that she has taken out 10 articles on “How To Be Obedient” from the internet and she can share it with RV. RV facepalms himself. Juhi continues that she doesn’t mind being Samar’s slave as he is quite cute RV says that Juhi is hopeless and turns to Bobby. He asks him whether she is alright being Piddi’s slave. Bobby replies that she isn’t entirely happy but it’s a part of the contract so she can’t do much. Besides, it’s not hard for him to handle Piddi. RV gives her a sarcastic thumbs up. Bobby says that he just wants to fire the gun using their shoulders as he himself is scared of this task because his and Panchi’s “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” kind of friendship is now over. RV stands up angrily and tells Bobby that he isn’t scared of the project or the task. Bobby says that it’s no use telling this to her and he should go to JJ regarding this. RV says that he isn’t scared of JJ either and turns around. JJ is standing behind them, watching him with a paper binocular. RV shocked.

Precap – JJ showing RV a chart with two blank photos and words like “I’m a loser” etc. He says that whoever refuses to follow the instructions, JJ would put their picture on the sheet and paste in on the notice board. KD hands Kiya 50 rupees and tells her that her task is to make sure KD’s day is spent comfortably in those 50 rupees. Samar gives Juhi’s task, that of being silent for the entire day. Piddi and Bobby in the crowd and Piddi makes Bobby chants words like “Piddi is the best!”
