Uttaran 3rd July 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Veer travelling in the car getting flashbacks of Icha getting out of the water (Vrindavan scene).
He remembers Umed’s words about Icha being very kind, unselfish.
He calls up home and Umed picks up the phone.
Gunwanti takes the phone away from Umed and asks Veer where he is? He says I’m coming back home. She asks where do you go all the time? Where are you coming back from? He says I am coming back from Satara. Gunwanti is shocked.
He says the change in Yuvi’s behaviour is all because of Teacherji and I came here to thank her.
Gunwanti says, the change in Yuvi’s behaviour came because I talked to him… You talked to him lovingly.
An outsider cannot change Yuvraj (Umed/Daddaji listening to this conversation). She asks him to come back home as Amla is not well.

Meethi in a room in the jail and remembers the Pandit’s words about her mom being alive but being a murderer. She remembers Icha touching her.
Icha comes behind her… asks her why she’s so angry with her mother?
Icha puts a hand on her shoulder and Meethi turns around.
She says, oh, your eyes are wet… is it for me? But why? Who am I to you?? You had died after giving birth to me! But you’re alive, you’re here… it took me 18 years to find that out! Why are you not looking me in the eye?? Look at me… I want to see which truth is being hidden by your tears today… answer me “Late Mrs. Icha Bharti”.
Isn’t that your name?
That’s what I used to write on all my forms in school/college.
Icha calls her Meethi… Meethi says, I love my name… it’s lovely, it’s unique… did you keep my name Meethi? Did you give me the identity that my mother has died? Answer me, I’m asking you something.
Icha calls her beti… and Meethi says don’t call me beti… and don’t expect me to call you ‘mom’ either…
Icha says you meet me after so many years, and so much bitterness in you? She again calls her beti, but Meethi gets upset and asks her not to call her that!
Meethi says I was a little girl… I used to read things about a mother and I used to hug Anni and cry my heart out. Then Anni used to tell me stories about my mom’s kindness and her greatness.
I used to look for my mother in those stories.
I used to think my mom calls Anni “Ammo”, Bhayya calls his mom “Mayya”, but what would I call my mom?
I kept searching for that word for so many years… the word that I would use to call my mother.
Because the truth for me was that my mother had died…
WHY? Why did you do this to me?
Did you do it because you murdered someone?
I didn’t come here to hug you and cry… I came here to ask questions from you… Answer all my questions!!
She shows her the torn piece of newspaper with Icha’s hidden face on it… she says what were you hiding? That you are a criminal? You got life sentence?
Is that why you separated your daughter from you… told her that you died.
Tell me just ONE truth… did you even remember me ONCE here in the jail?
Icha says, I did… I used to remember you a lot.
Meethi yells, you’re lying!! You’re a criminal, coward, liar… nothing else!!
You’re only a murderer… and that’s the truth of your life.
Because of you, I lost a beautiful friend of mine… because you ruined the life of my friend Mukta’s mother!!
Icha is shocked to hear this name.
Icha says, meri mukku?
Meethi says, YES… I had gained her confidence enough to call her Mukku… we had just become friends but the truth of your life came between us and separated us.
Why did you do this to her mother? Answer me WHY?
You hid the truth from me so I couldn’t find out that I’m a criminal’s daughter?
Icha says I didn’t want my past to shadow your life.
Meethi says, one day or another, past had to catch up with us… like it did today.
I have your blood in my veins, so how could I get rid of the past so easily?

My face says my mother’s a murderer. I’m ashamed to say I’m a murderer’s daughter.
Why did you murder?? Why did you kill someone??
For money?? Did you need money?? Lots of money?
She’s holding Icha and shaking her, yelling in her face about why Icha hid the truth from her.
Someone slaps her hard. It’s Damini.
Icha/Kanha are shocked too.
Meethi is looking at all of them.
Damini yells, you want to know the truth? Truth of my daughter Icha’s life? I will answer all your questions.
Do you have the strength to hear the truth?
The truth that she lived, would you even be able to HEAR it??
Icha stops her… asks her to be quiet.
Damini says not today. Don’t stop me today. I will speak the truth today. Icha again stops her from telling Meethi the truth.
Damini says what happened after hiding the truth for years?? Why did we hide the truth? To give her a better life… and today she’s pointing a finger at you.
Someone told her half and twisted truth and she came here to grill you…
Then she tells Meethi HOW dare you put blame on your mother??
Meethi says, you were the one who told me that my mother died. Why did you says so? So that I couldn’t find out the truth about ‘this woman’. So I don’t find out that I’m a murderer’s daughter.
Damini yells at her “STOP”.
Meethi says, but why should I stop Anni?
Damini says, don’t call me that. If you’re ashamed to call her your mother… you should be ashamed to call me Anni too, cuz I’m her mother.
I’m Icha’s mother and I’m proud of her!!! She’s Damini’s daughter, a servant’s daughter and I’m proud to say that!
