Uttaran 29th August 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Meethi angry at Icha, why she’s in the room. Asks her to go away. Icha tells her she’ll get better quickly.
Meethi says, I don’t want to get better… neither do I want to live.
The woman who can’t tell me my father’s name, but is happy to meet with him sneakily, it’s better that I die than live with that woman.
Icha asks her to stop saying such things, but Meethi asks Icha to leave the room.
Icha cries and leaves the room.
Icha comes out of the ICU crying. She sees a nurse and tells her Meethi is conscious now and asks her to have a look at Meethi.
Nurse says okay and goes inside.

Rathore comes to Jogi’s house. He comes inside and sees Tapasya’s photo. Song plays in the background (Ishq bhi diya re Maula…)
He removes the dirt on her photo and looks at other photos… then he sees the photo of Jogi with grown-up Mukta, and another of Jogi/Divya with Mukta.
Nani comes down the stairs… she sees Rathore from the back and says who are you?
Rathore says, you’re still here like a termite (deemak ki tarah chipki hui hain) (lol). Turns around and Nani gets shocked. She has flashbacks of Rathore with Tapasya and even Yuvi.
Nani gets emotional and says you?
Rathore says, yes, it’s me… who else would make you so nervous? lol
Nani is about to say something to him about Tappu when Jogi/Divya and Damini come.
Jogi asks him how he is? Rathore says, I promised you that I would find the courage to talk to you and then will visit you.
He says I will talk with you a lot today. Saw some photos… old memories, old relationships.
I want to look at all old things with a new perspective.
Then he says, this is one face (pointing at Mukta’s photo)… he says, it seems like I have met her. Who is she?
Isn’t she Mukta?? SHe used to be so cute… curly hair, big eyes.
Her eyes used to sparkle when she saw me… she used to jump at me from Ichaji’s arms… I had to catch her.
I don’t know how many hours I played with her.
When I played with her, it seemed like I found my lost daughter.
Jogi says, beta, she is your daughter only!
Rathore says what? Jogi nods his head… Mukta is your daughter.
Rathore has flashbacks of seeing the empty cradle in front of the orphanage…
Divya confirms it and says she’s your daughter.
Jogi says, the girl that Icha looked after in childhood… is Mukta.
She’s your and Tapasya’s daughter.
Rathore gets confused… says I can’t take it.
Mukta was Ichaji’s daughter… my daughter was left in front of the orphanage that night by Tappu.
Damini says, whatever happened is nobody’s fault.
Finding Mukta on that stormy night wasn’t just a coincidence… it was God’s will.
Jogi says I have to talk to you a lot.
The night Tappu left Mukta in front of the orphanage, the same night Icha was going from there (don’t know why they’re twisting the story of Mukta being stolen by that thief and left on a highway).
Jogi says, Icha thought she was an orphan and picked her up.
Then Mukta stayed with Icha… but Mukta is your daughter.
By the time we found out that Mukta was your daughter, you had left.
Rathore gets upset that you guys knew for so many years? No one bothered to tell me?
He bursts out and yells… I am dying every single day for 18 years. I had lost the motivation to breathe!
And all of you stayed quiet??
No one told me that my daughter was here?
What kind of people are you?
Rathore says, maybe Tapasya wouldn’t have left.
Jogi tries to calm him down… he cries… and gets emotional.
He looks up at the why did you do this to me? Fight a fair battle with me.
He says, my daughter was here for 18 years.. and I was living alone… WHY?
Maybe Tapasya wouldn’t have left… maybe this wouldn’t have happened.
Jogi says, how could we have told you? how could we have sent a message to you?
We didn’t have any contact details for you.
Rathore asks, does she know I’m his father? What story have you told her? Does she recognize me… does she know me?
Mukta comes down at that instant and hugs Nani and says, I’m going to the college.
She says the same to Jogi/Divya. Rathore’s back is turned.
He turns around and Mukta smiles at him and says Papa?
Jogi tells Mukta, today your life is complete.
Rathore walks up to her… and says, when I saw her first, she was so little… now she has grown up. Rathore’s crying…
Look at her? She has grown up.
Jogi/Divya and everyone else getting emotional too.
Jogi tells her, I’m your Papa, you’re my daughter.
He touches her face and is about to kiss her forehead and when Mukta moves a step back.
She says no… you’re just a framed picture for me. A picture that never wiped my tears, never loved me… never told me a story.
Jogi again says, he’s your father… he has come to meet you after os many years…
Mukta says, so what should I do? Hug him and cry?
Ask him where was he for 18 years?
She asks him, where were you? Now suddenly he comes and sheds tears!
Rathore says, I didn’t know you were here… I was alone for so many years.
Mukta says, my life hadn’t stopped too… I also felt like playing with my dad, take his blessings, show some ‘nakhra’ to him… but I only had your photo.
Mr. Rathore, you came now? When I don’t have any feelings for you in my heart?
She leaves. Jogi tries to stop her.
Rathore says, Tapasya… exactly like Tapasya.
Divya says, Raghuvendra, I can understand what your’e going through. But try to understand it from Mukta’s point of view too. She needs some time.
Rathore says Time? You need more time from me?
I couldn’t take her in my lap in childhood… 18 years she called a photo her dad… and now your’e asking more time?
Jogi says, try to undersatnd Mukta too. Give her some time… time will heal the wounds. Everything will be alright.
