Uttaran 22nd June 2012 Written Update

Meethi about to enter her house, but hesitates and goes away.

Mukta angrily going out of her house. Yuvi notices and wonders where she’s off to. She catches an auto and lands up at Meethi’s house.

Damini’s House:

Doorbell rings and Kanha sleeping on the couch, wakes up and wonders if Ichcha has come back. He goes to open and finds Mukta standing. Kanha asks who she was and whom does she want to meet? Mukta replies that she wants to meet Meethi.
She storms into the house searching for Meethi. And Kanha asks again who she was. She replies that she is Mukta Rathod. Kanha thinks back to all those times with Mukta and Kanha as kids. And suddenly calls her Mukku. Angrily, Mukta says that only her relatives can call her that. Kanha starts saying: Do you not remember who.. and then stops midsentence and asks her not to disturb Meethi. Mukta demands to meet her and says, “She ruined my sleep and she is sleeping peacefully?”.
Kanha asks her to please calm down, and that he knows that Badi Nani has told them stuff about the past and Meethi is very disturbed about this. Mukta taunts him saying that, she is very disturbed which is why she was roaming around with someone sometime back. They go to Meethi’s bedroom and Kanha tries to stop Mukta from going to the bed saying that he respects Jogi a lot and to stop lest he .. Mukta replies that there is a storm raging inside her right now and saying so pushes the blanket away to find a bunch of pillows under it. Mukta is smiling and Kanha is shocked.
Mukta taunts by saying, “so here is your disturbed and worried sister?S he tricked you and went, you don’t even know where she went. Maybe spending the night with someone?” Kanha yells her name. She continues by saying she knows who she’s with and when she comes back to tell her that Mukta had come. She leaves and Kanha is worried and angry at himself. He calls Meethi’s phone but its switched off.

Road:

Meethi is walking alone on the road. And Mukta is walking angrily on the road. *BG Music: Saansein Albeli from Aarakshan* . She thinks about Nani’s poisonous words and gets madder. Yuvi comes behind her in his car and she yells at him for following her. He says that he saw her go out late at night and wanted to make sure she was safe. Mukta says she just got out of the house like that. And he asks if there was any problem at home, she hesitates and he offers to drop her back home. She breaks down and tells him how disturbed she was seeing her with Aman and rants some more. Yuvi denies it and she says she went to her house and she was missing. Mukta is raging mad and says that she took after her mother. Same cheapness. And keeps ranting about how she will not leave Meethi alone and she has an old karz to chukaaofy. Yuvi asks her to calm down and get into the car.

Damini’s House

Kanha calls Aman and asks if he knew where Meethi was. Aman replied that he dropped her home just sometime back, but doesn’t remember when he dropped her exactly. Kanha asks how he could’ve met her since when he saw she was sleeping in her room. Aman replied that he saw her sitting at a temple while on his way somewhere and that she was crying a lot. When he offered to drop her home, she didn’t want to go home. Kanha gets worried and asks if she mentioned anything, and Aman says that she was talking something about her past, and the future, and that she was probably a little mad at you guys. Kanha asks if he remembers when he dropped her home and that she hasn’t come home yet because he was sleeping on the couch in the living room itself. Aman is confused and Kanha thanks him and says he’ll talk later. Kanha is extremely worried and decides to call Jogi.

Sometime later, Jogi comes to see Kanha at his house and Kanha runs to hug him. Jogi asks where could’ve Meethi gone? And Kanha says Meethi never goes without saying anything and mentions that her friend Aman met her at a temple and dropped her home but she never entered the house. Jogi wonders why she went to the temple and asks Kanha when he came to know that she wasn’t home. Kanha says about an hour back when Mukta came home. Jogi shocked and says Mukta?

Jogi is sad and wonders, “My granddaughter came here at this time and I didn’t know? What sort of fire is fuelled in her?”. Jogi asks when he saw Meethi last. Kanha says “that Meethi came back from the college trip and was angry and so he couldnt say anything to her, and later when he was sleeping in the hall – someone rang the doorbell and it was Ichcha.” Jogi is looking at Meethi’s picture and thinks of the olden days with Ichcha and Tapasya and the past. He asks Kanha if that picture was Meethi’s and Kanha says yes. Jogi starts saying, “Meethi is now suspicious. After all these years of hiding the truth, Meethi should not think of Ichcha as the culprit for this. We need to find Meethi before she loses trust in us. We need to tell her the truth”. Kanha tries saying that Ichcha doesn’t want to, but Jogi is adament saying that he’ll convince Ichcha and this is his responsibility now that Damini is not here”. He asks Kanha to call Ichcha.

Kanha calls the Satara Jail and asks for Ichcha. He says that Ichcha must have reached there by now. The jailer lady says that “Teacherji is here and she has been here for the past 3 days. She was sick but insisted on teaching the kids and I just gave medicines to her”. Kanha is shocked and says that he doesnt want to disturb her and cuts the call.
He says to a shocked Jogi that Ichcha never left Satara for 3 days, and if so then who came here as Ichcha? Kanha then thinks back to the conversation with “ichcha” outside where he said to her “It is so sad that even after spending 18 years away from your family, now you cant even hug youre own daughter”. And Kanha is scared and Jogi shocked. Epi ends.

Precap: Veer and Meethi sitting in a tea-stall with their backs to each other. Veer thinks “I am in search of someone who I forgot 18 years ago”. Meethi thinks, “I am in search of someone who gave birth to me 18 years ago and forgot about me”. Both turn to face each other.
