Utkarsha Naik roped in to play Ranveer’s mother in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi!

Popular and versatile Utkarsha Naik will soon be seen in Colors’ popular show Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi as Ranveer’s mother.

Versatile actress Utkarsha Naik who is better known as Manorama in Star Plus’ popular show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? will be seen playing the role of a mother in Balaji Telefilms’ Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi on Colors.

Utkarsha who was seen in a cameo role in Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon will once again associate herself with the same channel. The talented actress will essay the role of Ranveer’s (Shakti Arora) mother in the show. Her entry will surely bring a new twist in the tale.

As per our sources, “Utkarsha Naik will be seen as Ranveer’s mother in the show and her character name will be Amba. She has come from a village where her father is a poojari and so she believes that nothing beats ones self- respect. She cannot bear the ill treatment of Baa (Sarita Joshi) towards her servants. She is not happy with the fact that her son and her husband have been living in the house where they are ill -treated. While leaving the Parekh house, she used to be a cook and hated Parekh family due to the ill treatment by Baa. But now due to some circumstances, she had to come back unwillingly. Their family is debt ridden due to which they have lost their house, land and everything. She has no place to live and so she has come back in the Parekh house.”

“Though she is coming back in the Parekh house after 10 years, but is not ready to work for Parekh family. Later Ranveer’s family will fail to pay the loan due to the shortage of money, so Amba will also start working at Parekh house as a cook. Here Baa will take an advantage and will make Amba do all the work to humiliate her. Thus the show will get more interesting with her arguments and tiffs with Baa against her stern behavior towards servants,” states our source.

“The audiences’ will witness many quarrels between Baa and Amba and their heated arguments to make each other feel humiliated. She has already started shooting and it was her first day yesterday, her character is a long running character in the show,” ends our source.

We got in touch with Utkarsha Naik for which she said, ”Yes I will be seen in Meri Ashiqui Tumse Hi. I was waiting for the right role to come my way. Last I did Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, the role was good but it didn’t work much. Later I got a call from Balaji and I found this role of Amba quite interesting so I am doing it and am quite excited. I hope that people like my character of Amba.”
