TV celebs give easy tips to protect your skin during Holi
‘Bura na mano Holi hai’! As the festival of colors is all set to take everyone by storm, we managed to get some tips from telly actors on how to keep the colors off our skin.
Karan V Grover, the lead of SAB TV’s Hum Aapke Hai In-Laws does not like playing with colors, but is often dragged into it by his friends. To protect the skin, Karan’s tips go like this. “Put lot of sun block and lots of oil in your hair so that the color does not stick to your body.”
Additi Gupta who is currently seen in Zee TV’s Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan hasn’t enjoyed the festival for the past five years but she does have her share of tips for us. This is something that she followed when she played Holi, “People say oil works but trust me it does not, as people use some very strong colors. One must use the silver tubes that we get in the market. Just apply that over your face and other exposed part of your body. It does not let the color stick to your skin.”
“Most importantly do not play for more than two to three hours, as if you stay in color for long, it won’t get washed off easily. Also, make sure you apply a lot of sunscreen or coconut oil. Do not let people put any sort of color or oil paint on you. Learn to say ‘no’ when you have to,” averred Shashank Vyas of Balika Vadhu.
Surbhi Jyoti of Zee TV’s Qubool Hai said, “Try and wear full sleeve clothes. Avoid exposing skin as that will help you protect your skin from color.”
“The best way of protecting your skin is by locking yourself in a room (laughs). But, if you’re moving out, apply lots of baby oil and do wear glares to protect your eyes,” stated Angad Hasija of Life OK’s Savitri.
Friends, we wish you all a very happy and safe Holi!!!

April 11, 11:55Many parents underestimate the sensitivity of their child’s skin. While it may be tempting to save money and use the same dry skin care products on your baby’s skin as you would on your own, this can cause serious problems. Imagine using bar soap on the sensitive skin of your face as compared to a specialty product designed for the chemistry of your skin. It would likely end up causing you a great deal of discomfort. The same thing would happen to your baby’s skin if you were to consistently use products geared for adults to cleanse it. An unhappy baby can be a very loud baby, and dry skin can make babies incredibly unhappy.:
