Kanak reaches her office. Whole staff greets her happy birthday. She asks her secretary if he sent signed documents to K and U office. He says and someone has come from K and U office to greet her. Kanak nervously thinks if Uma came. She walks into her cabin and sees Meera’s secretary with bouquet who greets her and says Meera madam has sent her one more gift. She sees car keys and calls Meera. Meera asks how did she like her gift. Kanak asks if she is trying to bribe her. Meera says bribe is a small word, it is her friendship. Kanak gets engrasped in Uma’s thoughts. Meera asks if she like her gift so much and says from hereon she can travel in her own car and asks to attend her wedding anniversary party first in her gifted car. She then boasts Uma that anything
can be bought with money and she proved it, if not by money by force. Uma says who knows it better than him and asks what is officer’s name. Meera says name is made with hard work and small people’s name don’t matter.
Uma and Meera’s wedding anniversary party starts. Meera walks in holding Uma’s hand. Guests greet them. He takes liquor glass. Meera tries to hold hand again, but Uma brushes her off and warns not to show off. Another guests praise their chemistry and asks reason behind it. Uma says one should learn to compromise. Meera laughs and handles situation, then holds his hand again and warns that he is only hers and third person cannot come between them. Kanak enters party venue. Uma smells her sandalwood smell and ignoring Meera starts searching her. She walks just behind him and he does not notice her. He then angrily picks garland and throws it. It falls into Kanak’s neck. Their eyes catch up and they walk towards each other with questioning expression, looking into each other’s eyes. Phir le aya….song…plays in the background. Meera gets jealous noticing that, walks to Kanak and asks if she is fine. Kanak says no, she is better now after a long time and asks Uma if he is fine. He says even he is fine. Meera introduces Uma to Kanak. Kanak says who knows him better than her, she is his ardent fan. Meera shockingly repeats. Kanak says she knows to praise talent, who can say a medical genius is hidden behind this innocent face, Uma Shankar can to go any extent to get success, he has given her many lessons. Meera says she is surprised to hear such a complement from a government officer. Kanak says Uma can leave anyone for success, whatever today she is is because of him. She greets them happy marriage anniversary and gives her gift box. Meera thanks her and opens box and gets angry seeing her gift car keys. Kanak says she does not need such a costly gift and walks away.
Meera fumes how dare a cheap govt officer is to reject her gift. Uma is surprised to hear Kanak is that govt officer. Meera walks to Kanak and says how can she go without enjoying her party. Uma thinks he has kept Kanak from Meera’s wrath till now and has to. Kanak agrees to stay back, but Uma says Kanak must want to go home to celebrate her birthday. Meera asks how does he know it is Kanak’s birthday. Kanak asks how does he know, they met just now.
