To be or not to be a part of Pavitra Rishta…is the dilemma of Ankita Lokhande

We have already reported about Ankita Lokhande having stopped shoot for her show on Zee TV, Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms). We had also mentioned the fact that she would be going on a vacation with Sushant Singh Rajput and would also want to share the limelight with her man as his movie Kai Po Che is due to release later this month (February 2013).

It is known to one and all as of now, that Ankita had put down her papers long back and was available for shoot only till 15 February 2013. However, the fact remains that the makers have not shot any sequence with Ankita that would mark the end of Archana in the show. And this in fact, has opened the door to lot many possibilities when it comes to Ankita’s future with regards to the show.

A reliable source told us that Ankita would apparently come back and shoot with the Pavitra Rishta team for atleast a day in the coming days (whenever she is free). There is a possibility that the makers would shoot a sequence wherein Archana goes missing. And they would play on this drama for quite a while. As for Ankita, we hear that she will definitely not shoot for the next two months, as she wants to taking life easy and spend quality time with the man she loves. The channel and production house have apaprently convinced Ankita to rethink whether to get back to Pavitra Rishta or not, once she is back from her holiday. And if the script being worked out at that particular moment impresses Ankita, she might very well get back to Pavitra Rishta.

Also, as per our source, another reason for Ekta Kapoor to not officially confirm the quitting of Ankita Lokhande from her long-running show Pavitra Rishta might be that the successful show completes 1000 episodes sometime in March 2013. And the makers might play on the ploy that they are confident of getting back the face of the show, Ankita Lokhande post her two months break.

We tried calling Ankita Lokhande, but she remained unavailable.

We still hope Ankita Lokhande decides to be part of the show till it lasts. As for now, guess all associated with Pavitra Rishta are ready to play a waiting game.. And so are we!!!

    They should have gotten rid of her long bac, after the 18 year leap, how can she remain so young after 18 years. They should have changed her then. Or she should have opted out after the leap, get another actress, you know to show the change in age etc. she is young and beautiful, and deserve to be in showers acting her age, not to be wasted as a grandma in a show dragging on and on getting shitty each episode.
    She deserves so much better.
    It’s about PR get the hell off the air for the shitty story it’s become. With the new promo, Purvi giving ovi her kid. Shit and more shit.

    Ankita is behaving like a prima donna. I used to like the character she played but recently she changed, her acting wasn’t as convincing as it used to be and her dressing left much to be desired. I suppose she believes that she is the show.
    The family as evolved, the kids grown up and have stories of their own. She needs to grow up too. However, she has changed to act and dress younger than her kids. She might come back wearing skimpy shorts etc to combat the role of grandma.

      Well said ammara. Let’s not forget that Ekta is the one dragging the show this long! I’m sure Ankita didn’t plan for this. She was just being loyal after d 18yrs leap. Please she is young and getting her to play the role of a grandmother isn’t ideal!
