There was no better choice than Sony TV for a genre like Main Na Bhuloongi – Producer Yash Patnaik
Talented producer Yash Patnaik and his production house Beyond Dreams is surely on a high these days.
With his shows Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera (Star Plus) and Sadda Haq; My Life My Choice (Channel V) doing well on TV, he now has come up with another ace on Sony Entertainment Television – Main Na Bhuloongi.
The show which is a thriller has already managed to hold on to the viewers’ attention. It is a story about how a girl comes to see a different side to her husband after marriage, and the manner in which she becomes resilient towards it and decides to face it with utmost guts.
Talking on the same, Yash tells us, “Through this show we not just want to entertain the audience, but also pass out a very important message. It’s very significant to check a guy’s background before you marry off your daughters. Imagine when we buy a flat, we go about checking every minute details starting from electricity to gas to society and even about home delivery options, but marriages are fixed in just a couple of meetings.”
“The show will give a new hope to girls and give them strength to fight such incidents. We have also highlighted the issue of stalking for the first time. Our protagonist Shikha (Aishwarya Sakhuja) is a simple girl who freaks out on facing small and simple incidents, but then how circumstances make her strong will be for the audience to see,” avers the producer.
Yash, who has earlier been in the creative team of Fireworks Productions, before venturing into production is quite confident about this show. He quips, “It’s a thriller which will depict human emotions in a very interesting way. A good amount of curiosity and complexity will also be there. Since it’s a finite series of six months, the show will be very pacy and the story is already with us from start to end. So there will be nothing extra that will be added in the show.”
On the success-formula on television, Yash states, “You just have to be real and honest. The audience is quite smart and needs variety. You cannot have a fixed plate; you have to have an a la carte. And most importantly since characters become popular than shows, the audiences need to buy them and connect to them instantly.”
Talking about his cast, Yash proudly states, “Aishwarya is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met and she is a complete professional. As for Vikas, he is like my younger brother and when I offered him the show, he did not even ask a single question. And that multiplied my responsibility as a producer and I had to make it a point that his comeback show had to be worthy. And thankfully we have managed to do that.”
And finally speaking on his association with Sony, the good looking producer quips, “Having worked with them earlier (CID), it was like homecoming for me. Also with such a genre there was no better choice than Sony. They are the people who give you complete freedom and support and that surely helps in the long run for any show.”
Yash, may you reap success with this new offering.
