The Buddy Project to comeback with its second edition!
Channel V’s The Buddy Project to bring forth a Season 2 for its viewers, without any break…
Sunshine Productions’ The Buddy Project is all set to roll out an all new Season 2. The show, which revolves around the buddies and their lives in Royal Academy, is now heading towards their college life the next season.
Being the No. 1 show on Channel V, the show is going to launch the second edition immediately after the last episode of the current season.
We spoke to Sudhir Sharma the producer of the show to know more about Season 2 of the show. Talking about the reason to roll out The Buddy Project back with a Season 2, he said, “After being the No. 1 show on the channel for a long time, we thought of taking the journey forward. The story will be moving forward to a posh Media college in Mumbai. The journey will now shift from their school life to college life with new friends, new enemies, new aspirations and new struggles to handle in the newly attained freedom. The story will now focus on how KD (Fahad Ali), Kiya (Bharti Kumar), Panchi (Palak Jain), Ranveer (Kunal Kulbhushan Jaishingh), Piddi (Nikhil Mehta) are going to adjust in the big cruel world after coming out from their comfort zone in Royal Academy.”
When asked about the reason to bring back Season 2 without any gap, Sudhir says, “I feel, in today’s fast pace life, there is no point of dragging stories beyond a point so, it is good to introduce a new phase in the series. It keeps the freshness alive and is better to change before people change the channel or their love and loyalty for the show.”
Elaborating about the look of the sets, he further adds, “The buddies will be from Mumbai only. We are working hard on the styling and on the complete new look of the show. In fact our new set is bigger than most of the colleges in Mumbai and the architecture of the building does not look like a set.”
“The response has been overwhelming and we remained the No. 1 on Channel V for a long time. It has touched the highest TRP ever of 1.44 on the channel. The new season will be having few new characters too along with the old buddies. Manish Nawani and Samridh Bawa will be among them. Manav Gohil’s character in the new season is going to be a surprise for the viewers,” concludes Sudhir Sharma.
