Tara is praising Radhika a little too much which makes her curious. I will speak to your teacher for the last time. Tara says I will take sanyas if I wont pass next time. Radhika tells her to stop her nonsense. Tara says I am sorry but I am not lying. I have already started studying. You can ask Ajji. They wait for the teacher as she is busy. Tara asks her sister for her report card. They realise that neither of them have the report card. What will we show to Marathe Madam now?
Sachin comes to another bank to seek loan. He asks about one paper. Sachin looks at the paper and then at him in confusion.
Marathe Madam asks the girls to speak up. Tara lies that both her parents have gone to village to see Mama. He isn’t well. Marathe Madam asks them if there is no other elder in the house.
Tara says Ajji just had her eye operation. She cannot see. Marathe Madam corrects her on her English pronunciation. Tara repeats it. Marathe Madam says you are good for nothing. Elders aren’t home and your Ajji cannot see for now. I will wait till your Baba returns. Remember that I remember everything. Radhika asks her if Tara can give re-exam. Marathe Madam asks her if she will pass in the re-exam. Radhika says couldn’t study properly back then. Tara adds that she had dengue. Marathe Madam gives in. I will humiliate your Baba in front of entire school if you fail again. Tara feels bad. Why punish Baba for my mistake? Radhika pinches her. Tara relents and agrees with her wish.
Outside, Radhika asks Tara why she does not study hard when she cares so much about Baba. It is your exam. Why should I bother? She leaves. Tara requests her to wait but in vain.
Radhika asks her mother about Tara’s report card. Sarita and Chinu ask about her result. Radhika shares that Tara has failed in 5 subjects. Chinu says she breaks her own record every year. Radhika asks her mother about the report card. Sarita says I gave it to Ajji. Ajji complains that everyone blames everything on her as I cannot see anything. She realises that she did take it. I kept it in the black file in front of me. They point out that there is no black file in the house. Sarita adds that she saw it black because of her goggles. Sachin returns home and asks about Tara. Radhika notices the file in his hand. She asks her mother if this is the file. Sachin asks them what they are murmuring about. His brother asks him if he could arrange money for the maintenance.
Tara is still miffed with her teacher as she scolded Radhika Tai. She also spoke about insulting Baba. I feel bad. Did you understand? He (Bedane) says I feel bad as you are feeling bad. She nods. It is because you are my friend. Bedane says I can understand. She walks up to where Ganpati idol is. I said every word in plain Hindi. What couldn’t you understand? I spent so much time and explained everything to you yesterday. All you had to do was to live up to the hopes and trust of a kid. She would have loved you all the more. I spent Rs. 28 on the sweets and flowers. What did I miss that you failed me? It was okay if you had failed me in 1-2 subjects but 5? I dint expect it from you! You broke the wall when I asked you to help. The problems are never ending. Where will Baba arrange that money from? Bedane says I can arrange Rs. 25. You can arrange 000. She says I have that since forever. He finds the pamphlet of Dancer No. 1 there. Let’s fix the trophy so we can fix your Baba’s mood. She likes the idea. I wont be able to dance though. He says they aren’t asking anyone to dance. Just give your name, take the amount and leave. She is hesitant but he convinces her. You wont have to dance even a bit.
They reach the audition venue and Bedane asks for Rs. 200. They are first asked to fill a form. He writes incorrect details and submits the form. He again asks for money but the guy asks Tara to dance first. Bedane apologizes to Tara. I think you will have to dance. She refuses but he stops her. They wont give money without dancing. She says I will go blank. It isn’t like Ganpati dance or baraat dance. Everyone will laugh at me. He tells her to dance in any way. You don’t have just to be perfect. He suggests abrupt steps to her. She is worried that Baba will find out. He tells her to dance to get the audition money. Music plays as a boy comes on stage to give audition. Tara starts grooving on the beats. The main guy taking audition notices Tara dancing in the dark alley and records her dance. Her face isn’t visible due to dark but he records everything. Bedane claps for Tara as soon as the song ends.
Sarita tells her husband Tara will come. He tells her to drop it. She asks him if Tara has done something again. He picks up the Shiromani trophy and walks out of the room. Sarita calls out after him but in vain.
Bedane tells Tara to think about her Baba and his trophy.
A flashback is shown. Radhika and Tara hold a small challenge on the dance forms they like. Sarita panics as soon as she notices her husband coming in. Everyone’s eyes widen in shock and fear. Sachin glares at the stereo. Tara is too much engrossed in her dance. Sachin breaks the stereo by throwing it on the floor. Tara stops in her tracks. He asks her what she was doing. She says nothing. He nods. What you were doing is actually nothing, especially not dance! You wont embarrass me like this next time by doing this. Tara nods. Flashback ends. Tara tells Bedane she wont be able to dance. Tara’s alias’s name is announced on stage. Bedane goes on stage and does some random steps. Tara signals him she wont come. Everyone laughs as Bedane dances on Hawa Hawai song. They mock him as the song ends. Bedane asks for Rs. 200. The guy cannot stop laughing but hands him the money.
The main crew guy is looking for Tara. He crosses her but does not realise that it is she who he is looking for. Tara walks out with Bedane.
Precap: Radhika tells Tara that baba knows her result now. Ajji kept your report card in his file itself. Sachin confronts Tara. I think I will have to now walk with a bowed head around town!
