Tara From Satara 20th August 2019 Written Episode
Radhika is practising. Tara is pacing and keeps glancing at her report card worriedly. She munches onto food hurriedly. Her mother tells her to eat slowly or she will cough. Tara thinks she should eat now in peace as Baba wont let her eat once he finds her report card. Her mother tries to apply oil in her hair but Tara calls it disturbance. Her mother tells it to apply herself. A Bollywood song plays during the practise. Sachin scolds the neighbour kid (Pintya). His mother asks Sachin if this is how someone scolds at a kid. He burnt his feet because of you! We bear the noise coming from your house so why can’t you? He calls it real music but she argues with him. Tara rues that this wasn’t the right day for Pintya to play such music. Pintya’s mother gets miffed with Sachin and tells her son
to play music freely. My son atleast passes in exams unlike your daughter. Tara wonders why she dragged her name between this fight. Sachin says she wont just pass but she will pass with flying colours. I will put her mark sheet on the notice board for everyone to see! Radhika takes her father home.
Sachin asks Tara for her report card. She starts fumbling. She prays to Ganpati Bappa to save her. Sachin asks her what she is counting. Answer me. She takes Ganpati Bappa’s name loudly and everyone hears a loud thud. A tree has fallen and the wall gets broken. Everyone gathers there. Chinu remarks that this means they now have another expense lined up. Sachin asks his brother to bring some repair guy. He leaves. Sachin turns to Tara again. I was asking about your result. Tara lies that it hasn’t come yet. He notices her hiding something and asks her. Radhika takes the report card from her and eventually Tara’s grandmother hides it in a file. Sachin warns Tara that she must not fail in even one subject. She nods.
Tara folds her hands before Radhika who gives up on her. Tara tells her not to fuel Baba’s ears now. Radhika says I could have done that now itself. Tara taunts her for her favour. Radhika calls out to her Baba to scare Tara who stops her. Radhika says I did it for Baba. He already remains so tensed and now this problem has come up! Tara asks her what she should do. Radhika advises her to study hard for 2 months so she can pass the supplementary exams. Baba has nothing but us. We are both his strength and weakness. Now we have to decide if we will make him proud or make him look down. Tara scolds Bappa this time. Radhika reminds her that she is threatening Bappa. Tara apologizes to Bappa. Both sisters decide to get Sachin’s sign on the report card somehow.
The repair guy asks for 25k for maintenance. I will begin right away. Sachin is hesitant. The repair guy tells him to call him once he makes up his mind. Sachin nods. Sachin’s brother asks Sachin from where they will get so much money. Sachin replies that he has always asked him questions since childhood. Find answers on your own for once. His brother nods. Sachin takes the file with him as he leaves the room.
Tara asks her sister for her phone. Her sister glares at her. Tara says did I ask for your phone just now. I think there is another Tara inside me. I sometimes don’t understand what I do. One Tara wants to study, be honest but the second one! Radhika advises her to control Tara 2. Tara pretends to beat herself but runs way when Radhika offers to do it. Radhika receives a call. It is a guy. He congratulates her on her marks. Should I bring sweets? She tells him against it. Baba’s mood is already off. Plus Tara also failed in her exams. He tells her not to save Tara so much. She will be spoiled. Radhika gets miffed. She is my sister. Let her be spoiled! She ends the call angrily. Sarita brings Sheera for Radhika. Why dint you tell your marks to Baba? Radhika says Baba was worried because of the wall. Sarita says you should have told him. I am more worried about Tara’s marks than the wall. Don’t know how your Baba will react when he will find out about Tara’s score.
Sarita and Sachin discuss as to how they will arrange the money.
Tara and her grandmother (Aaji) are playing snakes and ladders. She notices Tara quiet. Tara shares that she is thinking how worried Baba is yet I cannot do anything. It is like MK is standing in front of me but I don’t have a phone to click selfie. I recall everything except the answer when I see the question paper! Aaji compliments her thought process. During bad times, we feel worst seeing the sad and sullen faces of our loved ones. We can support them with our cheery faces. Tara says I understand your words but not the books. Aaji says you have something special inside you. When that will come out, you will shine just like your name!
The same guy (who had earlier apologized to Sachin) asks his crew if they found any special talent today. They complain that there is no talent in Satara. We are wasting our time here. No one came! Their leader tells them to announce a cash prize of Rs. 200 to anyone who comes to give audition tomorrow. We will find the dancers this way! I will speak to the producer. The talent is everywhere. We have to just find it!
Tara is sitting on the stairs and is reading loudly. Sachin takes out a trophy from his cupboard. It falls from his hand as he thinks of the good old days. His wife picks up a piece. Don’t even think about it. He looks at the trophy – Kathak Shiromani! Those were the days. I was dancing and it felt as if everyone is clapping for me. It is the biggest day for any dancer. This reminds of that day always! Sarita says that’s why I am saying that we must not even think of selling it. He says I have understood that the claps of sometime cannot stop the hurdles of life. Kathak Shiromani, the biggest trophy, but it cannot run a house. We need money for that. Tara feels bad. Baba is thinking of selling the trophy? I must do something. She asks Bappa to give her the idea. I will do the rest.
Precap: Tara and her friend find the pamphlet. He takes her to the audition reluctantly. Sachin reaches home and asks for Tara. Tara is dancing on a Bollywood song.
