Tapasya Nayak replaces Supriya Kumari in Zee TV’s Lajwanti

Recently We had reported about Supriya Kumari signed in to play a pivotal role in Zee TV’s Lajwanti.

But latest development states that the Trilogy Productions’ series will now see a replacement. Actress Tapasya Nayak will now be seen stepping into Supriya’s shoes.

Yes, even before Supriya could start her stint as the new Pakistani girl in the daily, the makers decided to replace her.

Shared a source, “Tapasya looks perfect for the character and thus the makers and the channel chose to rope in her. Although, Supriya was confirmed, as per few last minutes changes, it will Tapasya instead of Supriya who will play Jamaal’s (Rohit Khurana) wife.”

As reported, the character Nooran will be in for a shock to see her husband Jamaal coming back home with a new woman, Lajwanti (Ankita Sharma) in his life. She would be seen as a woman with a sulking mood set left aghast by her husband’s actions.

We tried calling Supriya but could not connect with her.

Tapasya on her part confirmed the development and said, “I am really excited to play Nooran. It is a very different character and with the personality and body language so different from my previous characters, it would be an exciting time. I have no clue about the replacement as I have been in talks with them for long, and got a call from the channel to start immediately from yesterday.”

The actress has already started shoot from last night. She has earlier been part of shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Chidiya Ghar, Pritam Pyaare aur Woh and Ashoka.
