Siddhartha to leave all worldly pleasures and seek the path of truth in Zee TV’s Buddha
Yes the time has come for the prince to get out of his kingdom for good, and seek salvation!! With this, will kick-start the story about Siddhartha’s transformation into Buddha.
This week, viewers will see Siddhartha in a state of distress on seeing pain, death, etc happening around him. He will then decide to seek answers for humanity, which will help liberate people from all kinds of sickness, old age followed by death etc. He will go on to share this thought of his with his wife Yashodhara (Kaajal Jain), who will be shocked to understand that this will only mean that Siddhartha will be moving out of their lives. Even though Yashodhara would be distraught, she will prompt Siddhartha to go ahead and seek solution. She will only request him to go at night when she and little Rahula are asleep, so that she does not feel the pain.
And as advised by her, Siddhartha will leave all worldly pleasures and leave the kingdom at night, to seek the path of truth.
With this, he will discard his crown and possessions and give it to his friend Channa, and will exchange his royal garments for soiled clothes. He will then step into the forest – his new home which he will go on to proudly embrace in exchange for his palatial kingdom.
When contacted, Ridwana, Creative Producer, Buddha told us, “This week will see an emotional episode wherein Yashodhara will see Siddhartha going away at night. She very well knows that he will never return to her, but will bear the pain and weep without letting him know that she is seeing him go. She will then run to the balcony and bid him a final farewell. With this, Siddhartha’s path to seek answers for all pain and trouble will begin.”
Actress Piyali Munshi has been roped in to play the role of Sujata, the first lady Siddhartha will meet once he is out of the kingdom.
