Siddharth Chandra debuts on Indian television with Sony TV’s Yudh
Making a debut on Indian television with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan is surely a great feat. And this is why the good looking Siddharth Chandra is feeling a victorious high in the show. The actor who has been part of some of the most popular commercials (Tata Docomo, Rotomax, Election campaign, B for Change among others) is part of Sony Entertainment Television’s Yudh (Endemol and Saraswati Pictures).
The Dehraduon boy is seen playing Rahul, the son of the doctor who is treating Amitabh’s character Yudhistir in the show. A complete drug junkie, Rahul’s character will gain prominence after his father’s death as he would go on to add a lot of mystery to the plot.
Talking more on that Siddharth shares, “I am not allowed to speak much on the details but it has been an awesome time shooting with such talented people. I have some great scenes with Bachchan sir and it’s been a learning experience just being there with him. He is so punctual and conducts his scenes so well.”
When asked about any memorable moment on the show, the young actor informs, “There was this cremation scene where I was in front of my dad’s dead body and Amitabh had to come, hug and condole me. That day Anurag Kashyap was also directing the episode, and thus I was tensed how things would go out.”
“But post the shoot, Anurag sir congratulated me and praised me. I actually turned back to check whether it was really me or was he talking to someone else (laughs). I was really feeling proud that day. As an actor my first project has Bachchan sir as a co-star and Anurag sir as a director- what more could I have asked for. It’s a dream come true for me most definitely,” he concludes.
Way to go Siddharth!
