Shabana Azmi is the new ‘Amma’

This is indeed great news for all TV lovers.

As reported in the national daily, Bollywood’s reigning queen Shabana Azmi has signed another show on small screen.

The talented actress, who is currently seen in Colors’ 24, has been roped in for Zee TV’s Amma (Salt Media).

Yes, after Raina Joshi moved out from the project, Shabana will portray the centralized character of Amma.

Well, Shabana would surely help us revive her Godmother days.

As quoted in the report, Shabana mentioned, “The only similarities are that they are both mafia dons and they get into this role after the death of their husbands. While Godmother was more politically inclined and motivated, ‘Amma’ is more like a Robin Hood.”
