Sapno Ke Bhanwar Mein 15th June 2012 Written Update

Arti knocks on the door to Dev’s private (but we know that in Arti’s world privacy is a multifaceted word) room. She threatens him with her favorite occupation – a dharna. Dev sits on a chaise lounge, silently listening to Arti’s entreaties. After what is supposedly some time, Dev opens the door to find Arti lying at the doorstep, pretending to be the morning newspaper. He gets her a pillow and a blanket and makes her comfortable (too scared to let her in I guess). He sets himself down on the doormat next to her and first stares at her (our cat does this very same thing to us in the wee morning hours…). He then starts to talk to a sleeping Arti, rambling on in his own private confessional. He says that just like she loves her sister, he cared for his brother. A brother who continued to hero worship and till the very end remained oblivious to the fact that Dev had desperately and futilely turned corrupt to fund his treatment. Dev regrets his misdeeds, apologizes to Arti and promises her that he would, here on only support the truth. Arti wakes up, to find that she is luxuriating in a blanket and on a pillow. Seated on the doorstep, she slowly edges the door open and looks fondly at Dev sleeping on the bed (readers who have canine pets will totally recognize this piece of action; I was so waiting for her to go up and start slobbering Dev like our pet pooch does to wake us up’.). She puts the bedclothes onto Dev and she apologizes (huh?), wishes him a good night and leaves. Dev opens his eyes and wishes her back a good night (faltu timepass).

The next scene makes absolutely no sense. It is morning, Dev in a coat is slouching on a couch, a flunky comes and hands him some photographs showing BBP with Puja in his arms. They telepathically get the message that BBP will not be returning Puja anytime soon. The flunky suggests that they raid the place that Puja is now located (so if there is some logic, they may have a mole in BBP’s moving team, but who knows? who cares?). Dev dismisses this very smart solution and comes up with his own idiotic one to a puzzled flunky. BBP trusts Dev, so instead of letting on about his change of heart and dal-badloing to Arti’s side, he would frighten BBP into sending Puja back to her parents. How ‘ asks the flunky. Ominously, Dev says I will frighten him with Rangoli BB Pandey. LOL!!!!

Dev calls Rangoli who is sleeping (alone) in her boudoir (even if you give the whole episode a miss, you really must listen to the BG music at this point, it is absolutely hilarious). He tells a very crabby and irate Rangoli that BBP had placed him in charge of her security and he was calling to warn her about a big and imminent threat on her horizon. Rangoli growls dismissively at the news of her security detail. She does not want any help from Dev. Dev facetiously, but toying with her, apologizes. Just as he is about to cut the call, Rangoli asks him what this was all about. He asks her to come to some xyz police station. When his flunky expresses doubts about Rangoli turning up, Dev assures him that not only would she turn up, she would even be 5 minutes early.

Arti turns up with some chai nashta and it seems she knows that Dev is hiding in the bathroom, she tells him that breakfast is served. This is when I realized that Dev is piling on in the ex-love-nest-now-Tiwaris-ka-adda, somebody please clarify. Arti spots the photographs, yesterday’s precap ensues. Dev comes out from the bathroom and is annoyed at Arti (god this woman is such a snooper). When Arti questions Dev, he angrily tells her that he promised to tell her only about Puja, not all of his work. He snatches back the photographs from her and tells her not to snoop around among his things again. Of course Arti fights back saying why not? Was he afraid that when she rifled through his stuff, she would get to know the truth about him? When Dev says she has no buisness questioning him, Arti responds that she has every right to inquire about the photographs of her sister. She first accuses dev of being corrupt (he acquiesces to this ) then tells Dev how to do his job – go to the press and release the pics to them so that they get to know about the truth. She grabs the photographs and starts to walk away with them in her own self righteous angst. Dev grabs her hands and a scuffle ensues, he wrests the pics back and causes her some pain. Dev warns her never to snoop through his stuff again.
Dev rendezvous with Rangoli inside a jail cell, telling her this would be her new home f she continued to support BBP. He shows her the pictures and tells her that if he was taken off the case, a new incoming officer might find her guilty. Dev toys with Rangoli some more telling her that BBP’s behavior towards her was gross injustice. Rangoli sheds some tears and mumbles something about BBP stooping very low.

She storms into the good old party office (and we thought that BBP was domestic and housebound!) where BBP is meeting with some politicos about keeping promises. Rangoli mocks BBP about keeping ones word. BBP asks Shukla to finish the meeting with the politcos while he deals with Rangoli. Rangoli shows him the photographs – raking him over the coals about his supposed ignorance about Puja T’ whereabouts. She says that BBP is obsessed with Puja and never wanted to let her go. When BBP asks her where she obtained the photographs from, Rangoli only smirks and mockingly informs him that Puja was being sent to her parents. BBP is infuriated and asks her who she had consulted before she thought this up. Rangoli looks smug. BBP says he pities her. The phone rings, Rangoli hands it over to BBP. It is daddaji, who it seems tells BBP to return Puja to her house. After the call, BBP tells a jubiliant Rangoli that he washes his hands off her.

Precap: Dev beats up BBP in the haveli. BBP returns the punches, but drops a napkin that he has used for blotting blood from his split lip. Dev relays the bloody napkin to Arti, asking her to match the blood tissue with the fetal tissue sample…
