Baa announces that when its a question of competency, her 3 bahus will compete and prove their competency, whoever wins will become next heir who will carry forward her next generation. She tells her bahus that they together will work for 7 days, she will give them work and whoever fulfills her criteria will get house’s keys and like her saas respected her, she will respect her bahu. kanak thinks home keys means keys to locker and she will grab all the wealth. Hema thinks she can step over Kanak for locker keys. Kanak thinks she will the competition for sure. Hema in room tells Kanak that only she should win as keys won’t look good with maid Gehna. Gehna thinks she should meet Kanak and inform that Kanak is much superior than her and she cannot compete with her. Hema pressing Kanak’s legs thinks she is expert in buttering people and will grab keys under Kanak’s nose. Kanak asks if she said something. Hema says no. Kanak says along with keys she will ask partition of home and then whole wealth. Pankaj asks howmany room will they have in their new flat, let us loot Desai family’s wealth. Gehna hears their conversation and walks away. Kanak senses someone’s presence and follows. Gehna reaches garden and thinks that means Kanak and Pankaj want partition of house. Kanak walks to her and says she heard it right, they need parition of house. Gehna pleads not to do that as Baa and Bapuji would never want that. Kanak says she is just dividing the house as she wants to live a lavish and free life like others with the money she will get, they will not be under one roof. Gehna says she knows the pain of losing her parents, so Kanak shouldn’t shatter her family; Baa and Bapuji took care of children whole life and in this age, its children’s duty to take care of them, who will take care of them if everyone separate. Kanak says she doesn’t need her lecture and will do whatever she likes, she will grab competent bahu’s award and partition this house. Gehna thinks she will inform Gehna about Kanak’s plan.
In Anant’s room, Paresh tells him that Jamna bhabhi will decide competent bahu among 3 and he is sure Gehna will win it, asks if he doesn’t trust Gehna. Anant says he is sure Gehna will win the competition and is sure Baa will forgive Gehna one day. He reminisces Kanak’s demand of partition and says when Kanak was confronted, she took issue of partition; he loves his bothers a lot and doesn’t want to separate from them. He emotionally describes his childhood moments spent Pankaj and Chetan and their love for him and deciding to never separate from each other. He says Kanak and Hema will not keep quiet and will do something for sure. Gehna hearing their conversation thinks Anant loves his brothers and cannot tolerate going away from them, she needs to stop this partition somehow; she reminisces Baa’s words that she needs to prove that she is competent bahu and thinks she will prove she is competent and will stop this house from breaking.
Family gathers in living room. Kanak and Hema walk down. Chetan and Pankaj discuss that they are strong competitors and a weak Gehna cannot withstand them. Anant sneezes due to cold. Gehna gets him herbal concoction/kadha. Baa asks all 3 bahus near her and says for the next 7 days, Kanak will keep calculation of all groceries in kitchen. Pankaj comments one who used to bargain for makeup will not bargain for grocery. Baa says Hema will keep calculation of milk, vegetables, and maids. Chetan comments one who used to drink 5 glasses of milkshake will keep calculation of milk. Baa then says Gehna will keep calculation of bills, medicines and any emergency funds. Gehna thinks again she will prove her competency. Baa says they all 3 together will have to work together and run the house for 7 days with her given 15000 rs each. Hiral over phone tells someone that she couldn’t arrange money as Baa keeps locker keys in her pallu, then sees Gehna’s money and says she will arrange money. Kanak asks Baa how will she manage with such a small money. Baa says when she married Bapuji, his salary was only 4000 rs and she used to easily manage house as Bapuji gathered each rupee to gather children’s happiness and without his support, this house wouldn’t be present. Bapuji says he just made a structure and Baa made a house with her love. Paresh says he and Tia will take calculation of expenses from bahus. Baa says she will monitor their work for 7 days. Hema starts her buttering and falls on ground while touching Bapuji and Paresh’s feet. Paresh says she doesn’t need blessings and murmurs Gehna needs it. Gehna touches their feet next. Bapuji blesses her to be victorious. He then tells Baa that within 7 days, they will see foundation of Desai family’s future and prays god that one who is competent should win. Baa says its her competition and she wants one who can continue their family traditions to win.
Precap: Hiral steals Kanak’s money. Gehna sees only 7000 rs in her purse and thinks how will she manage.
Kanak says mixer grinder is not working and asks her to order new one. Hema shows 6000 rs worth mixer grinder. Gehna thinks if she spends 6000 rs in mixer grinder, how will she manage remaining week.
