Saas Bina Sasural 24th July 2012 Written Update

~Tej is upset and angry in his room and Pashu is talking to him and wondering why Tej is so angry and that he is reacting like him (matlab Tej is reacting like Pashu)..Tej says I’m not angry with Dadaji…this is all that girl’s fault..ever since she has come, then things like this are happening…Gyaan, Dadaji, Toasty…something or another is happening and it is all that girl’s fault. I’m sure she is the one that filled Dadaji’s ears, otherwise why would Dadaji react like that? He tells Pashu, it’s not her worry for Toasty that bothers me-that’s good-but it’s that she thinks that I don’t care or worry about Toasty and that everyone doesn’t care for her and instead just keeps making her do everything.

~Smiley is in Vedika’s room with Gyaan and complaining about what a saddu Tej is and that he is always angry and grumpy and looks like he hit his head when he was younger.

~On the other hand, Toasty and Dadaji are talking and Dadaji is saying that he can’t see her doing all the work in this state and what will happen after she is gone. Toasty says that even after Maa ji passed away, everyone moved on. Dadaji says the effects of Vimla’s death are still there in the house even today and no one will be able to bear your death as well.

~Tej comes in then and apologizes to Dadaji for his behavior and Toasty tells him that he should apologize to someone else. Tej asks who and Toasty says Smiley. Tej’s expression is like ‘since when did you become my dushman?’ and he refuses to do so and Toasty tells him that he has to. Smiley and Gyaan come in and Smiley is about to leave when she sees Tej but Toasty stops her and asks Tej to apologize…Tej rudely says sorry and Smiley reacts sarcastically and Tej starts up that it is no use saying sorry to someone who should be saying sorry. smiley tells Toasty that she and Gyaan decided that they would do all the kitchen work today and that she should relax and go spend the day out going around and shopping and if she doesn’t have anything else to do then go to the doctor. Toasty and Dadaji are shocked and Tej says why the doctor? Smiley says to Toasty that she should go to the doctor to see whether or not there is an ilaaj for this saddu (matlab Tej) and if not then whether or not by plastic surgery they can stick a permanent smile to his face Tej says first of all I’m not going for any surgery and second I’ll only eat food made by my wife’s hands otherwise I won’t eat at all. Toasty laughs at Smiley and Tej’s little fight and Dadaji looks sad and worried at Tej’s words. After Tej, Smiley, and Gyaan leave, Dadaji says to Toasty, see! You spoiled them so much that they can’t stay without you…okay fine, let’s just say that everyone else is able to move on and live without you..what about Tej? Will Tej be able to live without you? Toasty looks worried.

~The next morning, Prachin tricks Gyaan that he has a phone call so that he can steal the bathroom before Gyaan. The family laughs at Gyaan’s haalat and Gyaan complains about Prachin. Dadaji watches as Toasty gets a headache amidst everyone’s light hearted moment and she sneaks away.

~Toasty is resting in her room when Dadaji comes in and he tells her not to lie to him or hide anything since he knows everything now. Toasty says it is a relief that you know because I wouldn’t have been able to hide it from you for long. She says she has this headache because of hime…she thought she would live the rest of her life happily but he had to ask her about how Tej will live without her and now she is continuously worrying about Tej. Dadaji tells her that she has to tell everyone because they need to know. Toasty makes a deal with him and says she will tell them in her own way and judge their reaction and then they will decide whether or not she can tell them about her tumor. She tells Dadaji that she will talk to everyone now during breakfast.

~At the breakfast table, Tej comments on how good Prachin is smelling and Prachin tells that he felt like bathing with an open heart today Smiley makes a jibe and says so does that mean you bathe with a closed heart every other day. Prachin says that he has extra classes today so he will be coming a little later…Toasty catches on and tells Tej to give Prachin some money as he may want to get something to eat before his “extra classes”

~Smiley comments that Toasty looks really sick and Malti agrees as well..Tej looks a little worriedly at Toasty and Toasty says I’m just tired and I’m worried about my friend, Suman because she just found out that she has 10 years to live and she has gone into depression and is really worried. Gyaan says she still has 10 years to live her life happily…Dadaji says what if she only had 2 or 3 months to live? Toasty puts her hand on Dadaji’s shoulder and squeezes it gently to ask him not to say anything. Tej says that she should live the remaining days of her life happily. The family gets into a discussion of whether or not you would want to know beforehand if a loved one is dying and they all agree that they wouldn’t want to know beforehand. Toasty looks meaningfully at Dadaji.

~Prachin is waiting at a restaurant for his girlfriend, Sonakshi (Ab yeh Sonakshi kaun ve? ) He thanks Toasty in his head for saving his back and getting Tej to give him money for his date otherwise he wouldn’t have had enough. Dimple ends up there and says “Vanaspati!” and Prachin is like “Chipkalli!” and Dimple sits down there and starts talking to him and saying she won’t leave without a coffee and Prachin wants her to leave because his girlfriend is coming but he is not telling Dimple that…they get into one of their famous arguments (Haaaiii, Dimple-Prachin argument after so long…I’m thinking their track is finally starting!! Maybe once everyone gets to know about Toasty, Dimple and Prachin will grow closer in the process of being each other’s support system) Dimple leaves in a fury and Prachin is like thank God! and then ends up spilling his coffee all of over himself.

~Tej wears the shirt that Smiley sewed a button on the other day and he looks at the button and calls Toasty. He says you didn’t sew the button on this shirt, someone else did. Toasty says what does it matter who sewed the button and how did you know. Tej pulls her to him and says because whenever you sew a button on my shirt, it is when I am wearing the shirt so that the button is sewed on and at the same time, our love grows. Toasty says its just a button, it doesn’t matter who sews it on. Tej says its not just a button but a milestone..each button you sew on is special to me because each is a milestone of our love and each thread sewn through the button binds our close tighter (OMG!! After such a long time, we’re getting a button + pyaar TejYa scene) He says don’t you remember because I remember everything. There is a flashback from when Toasty was telling Tej that she is the one who sent him the needle and thread on Rose Day as it was her promise to him that she will always be there for him ( An old TejYa scene flashback after so long!! I was thinking these CVs didn’t watch any of the old epis and won’t do any FBs of the original SBS scenes <3 I'm impressed with this scene <3) ~After the flashback, Tej looks dreamily on and Toasty slaps his face and says get out of your memory world and things have changed now since then and there are so many more people in this house too so it doesn't matter who sews your button. Tej says I don't care how many people are in this house or whatever else changes but you are the only one who can sew my button. Toasty asks him what if I'm not there, then what will you do? Tej says I'll throw the shirt away and wear a different one. Toasty says what if I go away forever, will you throw all your shirts away? Tej says you can't go away from me forever...if you're even gone for a day, I won't be able to do anything. Toasty says but what if God decides to call me up to him...Tej says why would God call you up...does he need buttons on his shirts? And if he does, then he has so many apsaras...but you are only my apsara. He then jokingly says and even if you had to go to God, then you would have to find me someone to sew my buttons and then only you could go and until then I wouldn't let you go anywhere. TejYa hug and Toasty remembers what Tej just says and she smiles, getting her "inspiration" (Anyone else want to help me knock sense into Toasty right now? Tej is never going to get married to anyone else, darling, you should realize that by now >.<)

Pre-cap: Toasty tells Dadaji, I have a solution..I will get Tej married. Dadaji says this is impossible. Toasty says leave making the impossible possible up to me. (Not going to work, sweetheart >.<)
