Saas Bina Sasural 16th July 2012 Written Update

~Toasty explains to Smiley that her family’s way of life is a little strict and different and that she should follow the same as best as she can so that she doesn’t upset anyone in the house. Smiley promises that she won’t give any reason for complaints

~Smiley is in the hall talking to Dadaji and says she will show a magic trick in which she will get everyone to come into the hall…she blows a whistle and everyone who is home comes rushing into the hall…Malti has pains in her stomach and Shobha says to Smiley that you don’t even think about how it may affect other people. Smiley shows some of the gifts she brought…a cricket bat autographed by Yuvi for Gyaan, an orange floral shirt for Dadaji which Dadaji is reluctant to take because it is so bright but Smiley convinces him saying that he should wear such bright colors while living otherwise what will you say to God..that you spent your whole life wearing just white…and a book on yoga for pregnant women for Malti…Prachin runs away when Smiley starts her “Cheenu”

~Toasty gets a call from Tej and Smiley teases her saying there is a smile on your face so it must be Jiju…go talk to him and tell himt hat his saali is waiting restlessly to meet him. Toasty rushes off to talk to Tej.

~Tej is telling Toasty on the phone how much he misses her and that he can’t bear the idea of having to stay another day longer because she is the battery for his life’s car and when his battery isn’t there then his life’s car can’t start. Toasty says that sometimes distance is good as it reminds how deep the love is and brings a new freshness..Tej says maybe it is good for you but remembering you, I’ve become dried out. He asks if she is remembering him and Toasty complains about Smiley and Tej says to just handle and deal with it for a little while. Toasty starts getting a headache and chakkar and doesn’t reply to Tej right away but gets a hold of herself and replies late saying yeah you’re right. She says she has to take Malti to the doctor and they both say “I love you” to each other and hang up.

~Toasty is with Malti’s doctor and asking about Malti and the doctor says that everything is fine…Toasty explains to the doctor about her situation with the headaches and the doctor says that she can run some tests for her.

~Tej comes back from Surat with sarees in his arms and calling out for Gyaan and Prachin to open the doors…just then Smiley comes barging out the door and crashes into him, splattering him in colors and Tej drops all the sarees. Smiley says “Happy Holi!” to him and continues laughing away and Tej is really annoyed…she guesses that he is Tej and Tej says what if these sarees had not been in the plastic packets, then do you know what a big loss it would have been? She says why think about what might have happened/what loss it could have been when the sarees are absolutely fine? Toasty comes out and asks what happened? Smiley says that she wanted to make a rangoli…Tej says why? Is it Diwali? Smiley says you don’t need a reason to make a rangoli..I just felt like it. Tej says there is no need. Smiley says wow! He is a really angry person…did you find only him to fall in love with, Toasty? Toasty tells her to be quiet and Smiley goes to get more colors from Gyaan for her rangoli.

~In Vedika room, Tej is dusting off the saree packets to get the color off and Toasty comes in. She asks him, you were supposed to come tomorrow, weren’t you? So why did you come back today? Tej says because of you…I couldn’t stay any longer away from you so when I got the chance and the store opened, I quickly got all the work done and came rushing back to you…I didn’t even stop at the store..I thought that as soon as reaching Mumbai, I would see my Toasty first. He gifts her a saree and says Ved bhaiyya said it right…just because our wives don’t ask anything doesn’t mean they don’t have any wishes. And I know my Toasty very well…she doesn’t need anything more and even if she does or wants something, she won’t ask for it. He says I picked this saree out for you..don’t know if you’ll like it or not. Toasty says its very nice <3 He says I was in such a good mood...I wanted to give you a surprise and everything but then this Smiley happened...you were absolutely right about her..she is a toofan (storm) and how she was talking to me. He says that a friend of his needs a tenant and that he will call him tomorrow and see if he still does and if he does, they'll get Smiley settled there next week and then she can go her way and they can go theirs. Toasty agrees and says we'll just have to deal with her for another week. Tej says as long as my Toasty is with me, I can handle anything. He goes to hug her but Toasty stops him and says first take a bath, you're going to cover me with colors otherwise. She goes and gets Tej a towel and Tej lovingly complains a little After Tej goes, Toasty gets a strong headache and falls against the bed, then slides down onto the floor ~Tej comes out of the bathroom and Smiley tries calling him by "shh-ing and tch-ing" and Tej ignores her. She says I was calling you and Tej, this is how you call a dog and I am not a dog. Smiley gives him an envelope and he asks what this is. She says two tickets for Goa with a stay in a 5-star hotel...I won it in a contest but I have no one to go with so I thought I would give them to you. Tej says why me? Smiley says to understand na! Just imagine...the ocean...Goa... Tej says but why would I go with you!? Smiley says no, not with me! I'm giving for you and Toasty! Now go and give Toasty a surprise. Tej hands the envelope back to her and says I don't need your advice on how to impress Toasty and I definitely don't need your Goa tickets...you don't need anyone to go with you, you're entertainment for yourself. He walks off annoyed and Smiley comments on what a grumpy person he is. ~Tej walks back into Vedika's room after Toasty has gotten a handle on herself a little and tries to look normal. She turns sideways so that Tej doesn't see her face and Tej asks her that she didn't organize all the sarees yet? i thought you would be almost done with them by now. Toasty tells him to do it himself and she tries to leave but Tej stops her and says look towards me once. Toasty reluctantly looks his way and Tej asks what is that on your forehead? Toasty reaches up and touches it and winces, saying "ow" and Tej gets worried.

Pre-cap: Toasty meets with Malti’s doctor (because Malti’s gynecologist is now a neurologist as well) and she tells Toasty that Malti’s reports are all fine. Toasty asks about herself and the doctor says has your husband come with you? Toasty says no. The gynecologist turned neurologist tells Toasty that she has a brain tumor.
