Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is like home to me : Shaan

Singer cum actor Shaan is excited to be on the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 5 as the captain of the Boys team.

As the talent based singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, on Zee TV has kick started with a bang, the captain of ‘Boys’ team, Shaan is quite excited to be back on the show. While Shaan has been associated with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa little champs earlier too, he is elated to be a mentor to these young kids to nurture their skills.

Speaking about his comeback as a judge Shaan says, “I have been associated with this show for over a decade now and as a matter of fact I have hosted the first season of Li’l Champs. So this is like home to me and am glad to be the captain of the ‘Boys’ team. Every contestant in this show becomes an all-rounder post the kind of exposure, mentoring and grooming they get on the show.”

Shaan talks about his role as a captain in detail and says that, “As a captain my work would be easier as I am not judging anyone but just grooming the children and their talent. But it will be little tough for Alka ji as she will be judging the talent of these kids.”

Is Shaan prepared for judging this season of the singing based show? “As per the insecurities of captain I have started making notes about how girls are singing and it is really very easy to groom such talented children. They are already ready and the musical team has been training them before the show started which helped them to nurture their singing.”

“At 40, I keep on trying different things. Whenever, I have felt the need for acting, I went on to do acting. I always want to stay young and live my life the way I want to,” he concludes.
