‘Your nephew has made my life hell at college and you people have destroyed our house here’ Sanchi shouts
Just then Indu comes – he quickly understands what had transpired. Undoubtedly, he supports his family and an ugly war of words ensues.
He tells sanchi how she’d become accustomed to raising a hue and cry for everything. He reminds her that she’d insulted him in college many times, but that he’d never reacted.
‘Look at yourself before you blame others Sanchi’ he tells her.
However, she retorts furiously to his comments. The vehement girl is then dragged outside the kitchen by her father to put a stop to her tirade.
No point- Indu and Sanchi continue their brawl outside the kitchen too. Their voices escalating, both blame the judge for her silly decision of forcing them to stay under one roof.
Just then, Sanchi notices the lady standing at their doorstep. She quickly realizes that the judge had been watching them all along. The lady had decided to pay their home a visit, thus turning out to be an incidental witness to their fights. Indu, Sanchi and the entire family fall quiet with guilty frowns on their faces
The judge then asks the couple what their problem was and the warring couple begin their game of blame-shifting the entire time.
Indu tells the judge that Sanchi was responsible for everything, while Sanchi reveals that the Tiwaris and Indu were responsible for all chaos.
Sanchi also informs the lady about how the Tiwaris were torturing them (non-veg issue, the loud music issue, the kitchen-fights issue, the makeshift-office issue etc)
Indu has something to say in reponse for all of it too.
Fed up of their ceaseless fights; the judge orders both families to live in harmony. To ensure prevalence of sanity at the Mathur mansion, she asks the two families to start dividing the household expenses. She instructs all members to make a timetable for their responsiblities/duties/routines within the home and to stick to it! The judge concludes by severely chiding the Tiwaris for needlessly harassing the Mathurs – threatening them with a court case if they didn’t stop. The Mathurs are finally happy – they’d found some respite from her statement.
Following this, the judge then orders Sanchi and Indu to come inside a room as she had to speak to them privately. Once inside, both Indu and Sanchi request her to grant them a divorce as soon as she could. Basically, they let her know that they couldn’t stand the sight of each other any more! However, the lady seemed to have other plans. She mistakes the couple’s misunderstandings to be caused primarily by familial problems and proceeds to disclose her statement on the matter.
Hinting and indicating at all sorts of amusing things, the judge tells the pair that they needed to start living like a true couple. That they needed to change their mind-set. That they needed to start behaving like love birds to dissolve the hatred between themselves. Basically, that they needed to start by beginning to share a room – at day and at night!
Indu and Sanchi are aghast and appalled! They protest, but the lady is not one to take defiance lightly.
Warning them that she’d keep an eye on them in case they tried to take the court for a ride, the judge walks away from their pleas.
Repulsed by the new judgement, Sanchi threatens Indu that she’d never stay with him – lucky for her, Indu didn’t seem too enthusiastic about it either!
Once the judge leaves, Sanchi warns the Tiwaris to start following the judge’s orders. Annoyed by Sanchi’s perennially intimidating manner, Indu interrupts her – reminding her that the judge had ordered the girl to forget about family issues and tend to strengthening HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM instead. (He was doing this just to irritate her) Enraged, Sanchi warns him not to entertain any such thoughts in future.
Veena takes Sanchi aside and asks her what the judge had spoken to them about. When the mother learns of the truth, Veena is shocked. However, both Sanchi and Tarachand assure Veena that nothing of the sort would ever happen in that house.
Sanchi then starts noting the household accounts – so that expenses could be split between the two families.
When Indu lets his uncle/aunt know about what the judge had told the couple, the elated Tiwaris instigate Indu to try and claim Sanchi as his – that that would be the best way to get back at her. Biting on his lip, Indu ponders on their advice.
Sanchi is about to walk over to Indu’s room and hand over the expense-claim to him, when she barges into Anita. Anita notes the calculations and advices Sanchi that it was all wrong. She informs the girl that Radha spent a lot of money on cosmetics, toileteries and the sort and that such miscellaneous expenses should be added as part of the claim too.
Once done with the re-calculations, Sanchi enters Indu’s room and accosts him. Irked, he questions her why she’d come to visit him. She walks up to him and shows him the accounts. She orders him to settle their debts for that month and cautions him that if they failed to do so, they couldn’t continue living at the Mathur mansion!
