Ruk Jana Nahin 15th October 2012 Written Update

SANCHI’S ROOM
Once Indu’d admired his blushing bride to his heart’s content, Sanchi then bends over to her bedside table and pours some water into a glass. While Indu is intrigued by the purpose of her actions, Sanchi picks up the glass and gets down to walk towards the door.
Turning around to face him, she begins acting like a coy bride who’d just entered the room – basically she wanted to ‘bring to life’ Indu’s imaginations and dreams.

Standing near the door, she asks him ‘Like this?’
His eyes continue feasting upon her ‘Yes like this…’ the enraptured man then continues his narration ‘Blushing profusely you then walk towards me with dainty steps…’
She looks down at her feet – oops her stride was too long. She amends her gait and walks demurely towards him ‘Something like this?’
Indu is fascinated as Sanchi comes and sits beside him on the bed! Taking a few moments to regroup himself , he ensues ‘And then with your eyes lowered, you hand me the glass of milk’
Handing him the glass with a content smile and bashful eyes, Sanchi confirms ‘Something like this?’
Receiving the glass, he nods his head – his voice nearly a whisper now ‘Yes…same 2 same like this!’

Gulping down the water in no time, he places the glass aside and then moves close to her
‘And then, I move your veil away’
Sanchi becomes excited by this new role she’d taken upon and chirps in joyfully ‘Fine I’ll pull over my veil… and you can act like you are trying to move it away after that’ (LOL)
He doesn’t seem to have any qualms about her enthusiasm and does as told. Moving her veil away, he notices that her cheeks had turned a shade pinker – just like he was anticipating.

Both Indu and Sanchi grow increasingly nervous, as Indu goes on to clasp her cheeks in his palms. Their hearts racing, Indu moves closer and closer to her quivering lips. Just as the couple are about to savour their first kiss, they hear a loud knock on the window. Rattled, Indu decides to investigate and descends the bed to open the bedroom window. He makes a quick search for the source of the disturbance. However, since Roop had managed to hide herself well – he doesn’t catch her.
Cursing the miscreant, Indu once again shuts the window. He returns to his wife to let her know he’d find out the cause of the noise and then steps out of their room.

THE CORRIDOR
Approaching his drunken friends Indu complains that someone was out to irritate him by throwing stones at their window. The three tipsy boys instantly take the cue and step out into the street to take care of the issue. However, they do not seem to catch hold of the hidden Roop – who by the way had made up her mind that she would not allow Indu to enjoy Sanchi’s company that night – come what may!
In the meanwhile, Sobha has realized that Roop was not in her room or for that matter – anywhere else in the house!

SANCHI’S ROOM
Returning to his wife with a slightly embarrassed grin, the young groom confesses that he’d instructed Guddu and co to investigate. He then sits beside her once again, proceeding to relive the moment they’d just had ‘It was such a beautiful setting we were enjoying…and some idiot managed to ruin it…’
Sanchi can’t help but chuckle at her husband’s antsy state! It was obvious he didn’t know how to start where he’d left off. (LOL)
Nevertheless, letting go of the issue for then, Indu then grabs a cushion and decides to lie down on his girl’s lap.
He relishes the beauty that she was and then gently wraps his hand around her face, thus bringing her close to him. Intimately close to one another – their faces are now barely apart. Just as the enthralled couple attempt once again to feel each other’s lips, the lights get turned off! There is a power cut – thanks to another one of Roop’s silly antics!

THE CORRIDOR
On the other hand, the inebriated boys return to their table after no success at hunting down the stone-thrower. Realizing that the electricity was also off they begin feeling sorry for how their ‘bhaiyyaji’s suhaag raat was going for a toss. They continue with their drinks-party anyway! (LOOOL)

SANCHI’S ROOM
‘Oh Lord! What a nuisance…’ Indu swears under his breath as the couple sit up on the bed and straighten themselves ‘Looks like someone has something against me…why do all things have to go wrong on my Suhaag raat?’
‘Don’t worry’ Sanchi replies sportively ‘I have the solution for this issue’ .
She gets off the bed and approaches her bedside table to remove a few candles, leaving Indu in total awe!
A few seconds later and the room looked even more romantic now – what with candles adorning many corners of it!

OUTSIDE SANCHI’S ROOM
Roop is now about to climb near their window and drop a bag of cow dung into their room to spoil the couple’s first night. However, she is caught just in time by Sobha. The mother scolds her daughter for being so ridiculous, but Roop is stubborn that she wouldn’t step back inside the house till she ensured that Indu WOULD NEVER BECOME Sanchi’s! *Sigh* Sobha ultimately gives in and drags her daughter away from the scene- but not before she was forced to give her word that she’d support Roop in this matter. (what a family!)

THE PANDA HOUSE
Abhimanyu and Mehek are enjoying a late-night conversation with each other. They start off by expressing how happy they both were with the outcome of Indu’s and Sanchi’s wedding. Manwa then goes on to confess that he’d been meaning to tell her something for quite a while, but had not had the chance to.
Mehek is eager to listen to what he had to say, but Manwa doesn’t muster the courage to propose to her. Instead he ends up blurting out something else ‘Will you come out to have some ice-cream with me?’
Mehek is disappointed ‘Is this what you’ve been meaning to tell me for so many days?’
‘No this is not it…’ Manwa admits dejectedly. He then instructs her I’ll tell you about it once we meet over for icecream…I’ll come by and pick you up’
Mehek agrees happily.

On his way out, he meets Roop and Sobha. Sobha is furious that Manwa was stepping out in the middle of the night AND not letting his mother know of his whereabouts. Nevertheless, Sobha orders Manwa to switch the electricity back on in the Mathur household before going wherever he had to.
Once Manwa leaves, Roop is back to picking at her mother’s brains – asking the lady to help her out in her schemes!

SANCHI’S ROOM
Leaning on to the headboard, Indu gazes at Sanchi’s sindoor and then at her mangalsutra. He turns slightly pensive as he takes her mangalsutra in his hand and starts toying with it. As he looks into her eyes, its obvious that Sanchi appeared blissfully happy. Moving close to her, he gives her a peck on her forehead and then softly admits his fears ‘I don’t know what you feel Sanchi…whether you really appreciate all of this’ he pauses hesitantly ‘Do you really love me?’
She takes his hand in hers ‘I love you a lot and its good that I understood this in time..if not, I don’t know what would have happened!’
Pleased to hear her words, he waits for a second and then lovingly takes her face in his palms. He then moves forth to give her an affectionate kiss on her eyes, gazing at her bashful expressions with an endearing smile after he does so.

THE KITCHEN
Sobha and Roop approach Veena – who was busy finishing off her chores in the kitchen. Sobha puts on an act like as though Roop had arrived (so late in the night!!!) to apologize to Veena, Indu and Sanchi for her behaviour in the court that morning. Veena deems it not necessary and forgives the girl instantly. Sobha then observes that Veena was warming some milk on the stove and instantly guesses that it must be for Indu and Sanchi.
When Veena walks to the fridge to put the remaining milk away, Sobha slips some powdered mixture into the boiling milk (I hope its only a sleeping mixture and nothing worse) Unbeknown to this, Veena pours the milk into a tall glass and takes it to the couple’s room.

JAIL
someone approaches Dasrath Shukla. Shukla is taken aback to notice the person having come to meet him

SANCHI’S ROOM
Veena knocks on their door and hands over the glass of milk to Indu apologizing that she’d forgotten to bring it over earlier.
Nodding his head diplomatically, Indu receives it and then shuts the door. Handing it over to his wife, he requests her to have half so that he might have the other half!
