Classroom
Mehek wonders why Sanchi is still interested in contesting the elections against Indu. Originally the plan had been to oust the ruffian from the campus, but now that he’d seemed to change and that he’d helped Swetha out – was all this hassle necessary? Swetha and a few other girls nod their heads, wanting to know Sanchi’s answer too.
Letting out a diplomatic smile, she then asks Mehek and the remaining girls to accompany her.

University
Indu walks into the campus, followed by his trusted mates – the usual cries of praise and glory resonating in his background. Garlanded and welcomed into the campus with due honour, Indu folds his palms and smiles at his supporters ‘Let me fill the nominee form first…all I ask is to keep up your support for me in this fashion…’
‘Form or no form…you are our leader…’
‘You’ll always be our ideal student leader’ the boys vow

Striding through the corridors, the proud young man walks up to the office room, but what he witnesses there jolts him thoroughly. Trying to comprehend the situation, Indu removes the glasses from his eyes and the garland from his neck. Dumbfounded, he stares in disbelief as Sanchi hands over a form to the clerk – a nomination form for the post of student leader. Turning to dart her husband a very tactful smile, Sanchi turns back to the clerk, who then assures her that her application has been successfully accepted. The clerk also acknowledges Mehek’s submission for the post of deputy/assistant student leader.
Flashing happy smiles at each other, the girls then stand up.

Leaving behind Mehek, Sanchi walks up to the displeased Indu, who meets her half way in the room. Waiting to hear an explanation from her, he looks on, not caring to mask the pain he felt.
If Sanchi could read the feeling of betrayal in his alluring eyes, she chooses not to respond to it ‘From today, we’re both competitors’
Indu might have already been prepared for this revelation, but the statement startles Indu’s friends and surprises Abhimanyu nevertheless.
‘And watch out…I’ll be the one to win this elections’ she further announces
His ego being challenged to no end, the agonized Indu is compelled to swallow the bitter pill and remain quiet for the moment.

Sporting a courteous smile, Sanchi then extends her hand to Indu in a bid to offer him her wishes. Glancing at her palm, an annoyed Indu briefly contemplates on her confusing attitude and ambiguous stance. He finally exhibits the acceptance of her challenge by shaking his hand – making little effort to conceal the displeasure on his face.
Studying her departure from the office, the disappointed man then hastens to the clerk and demands a nomination form. Filling it up with his details, he marks his thumbprint at the bottom of the page and then submits it to the officer resolutely.

University terrace
Sanchi is going through her election-itinireary with Mehek – Meting orders about talking to the press, having posters printed, approaching students to canvass for votes etc etc.
‘Please spare a few minutes to talk to me too…’ a familiar voice interrupts her spirited excitement ‘If you are NOT too overwhelmed by your election duties, that is’
Indu steps out of the corridors, his sarcasm-riddled manner quite apparent. He then hurls a few stern glares at the bevy of girls surrounding his wife – Enough said!
No sooner, Mehek lets Sanchi know that they’d meet later on and the girls leave the couple to their next bout of clashes.

The pained man takes a few moments to study his girl – probably wanting to read what went on her mind!
Wasting no further time, she brings him out of his daze ‘Tell me…what do you want to say’
Leaning against the parapet wall, the deluded Indu admits sadly ‘By announcing your stand in the upcoming elections against me, you’ve shocked me…I didn’t expect this of you’
‘Why…what did you expect?’
He lets out a nervous chuckle ‘I thought that after all that happened…you would not stand against your husband…that you’d have changed your mind…’
Its now Sanchi’s turn to lean against the wall ‘I don’t change decisions that easily Indu Singh..’ she turns to face him very matter-of-factly ‘What you thought…what you imagined is all your’s and your’s only…I’ve told you before…I tell you now…I don’t accept this relationship…never will there be a relationship between us in future…we are competitors and nothing else…our paths different…’ she pauses rudely ‘The sooner you accept this the better for you’
Unable to stomach what she was spewing out, Indu continues to remain in disbelief ‘I think you are joking…if a husband and wife start fighting amongst one another… then the consequences will not be good…’ failing to observe Sanchi’s growing irritation, he ensues animatedly ‘If its only about the political post, then the post will remain in our house, right …so, what difference does it make if I fight the elections or if you do so…’
His personal sentiments beginning to take precedence, the emotional young man confesses earnestly ‘In fact…just once, accept me wholeheartedly to be your husband, then if you say so…if my wife says so…I’ll even withdraw my name from the elections!’ (I felt really bad for Indu here)

Amused by his words, Sanchi breaks into a sly smile ‘Are you scared of losing or are you bribing me here?
While Indu lets out a defeated sigh, Sanchi repeats her notions in no uncertain terms ‘Understand that I am not your wife…when there never was a relationship, why do you keep bringing it up…what do you have to prove here…’
Not wanting to lose his temperament, Indu continues to rationalize with her calmly ‘Whatever happened between us in the jungle…’
‘Stop!’ she shouts ‘What happened?’
Worried about her escalating pitch, Indu darts a few uncomfortable glances about, but the unperturbed Sanchi carries on harshly ‘Nothing happened between us…and never will…our truth is that we’re fighting elections against one another and are ENEMIES…’ the devastated Indu watches on in silence, as Sanchi speaks up ‘Just because I was with you during the Swetha Jha case does not mean that I am your friend…so what if you were innocent in the Swetha Jha case…what about all those crimes you committed against me…against my parents… I can never forgive those…’ she pauses ‘You sided with me in the Swetha Jha case…so thanks for that…but neither can we be friends and nor can we be husband and wife!’
Ultimately coming back to his senses, Indu becomes fed up of her tormenting rants and shouts back ‘Listen…along with your defeat, your ego will also be smashed to bits..’ he pauses vehemently ‘Only Indu Singh will win this round…whatever you try…lets see if your fate allows you to defeat me…’
The indignant man turns to look away in disgust
‘Fate will not favour one all the time…’ Sanchi smiles candidly ‘But who knows… probably fate plans to favour me now…only three days left for the election… in three days this truth will be out…’
Nodding his head in repulsion, Indu yells out ‘Even I’m waiting for that moment when you will be vanquished Sanchi Mathur’
The warring couple then part ways, each taking the opposite direction!

Indu’s room
Indu and his gang arrive at his den with bags of drinks and food – using the excuse of the submission of the nomination form, the boys decide to indulge in another bout of celebrations!
‘From tomorrow we have to work towards promoting and publicising…but today we’ll drink and eat…because I’m definitely going to win…’ Indu cheers boisterously ‘Its been a long time since we’ve had any drinks’
Stepping into his room, the frolicky Indu suddenly catches sight of his mama and mami sitting there, waiting for his arrival. (he looks so cute like a rebellious sulking child). His expressions take less than a moment to drastically sober down.
Sliding up to his nephew, the shrewd lawyer tries impressing him with his usual words, charms, bribes and garlands – basically all attempts to get Indu back home.
However, the brooding Indu brusquely removes the garland from his neck. ‘Don’t show me false sympathy… why are you lying now… lies…lies…lies…that’s all you people say…’ not even making an effort to heed his uncle’s pleas, Indu reproaches him ‘When I needed you most, no one bothered to show up or help me…instead you were busy helping Dasrath Shukla!’

No sooner than Indu pauses his loud taunts, Sadanand and Radha dash forth to take the cue. Reviling Dasrath Shukla and blaming him for all of the untoward incidents, they try to exploit Indu’s sentiments by putting on a show of loyalty towards him – their efforts to please him so overpowering that an irked Indu is compelled to push Radha’s wandering hand from his shoulders more than once.
They continue their charade – begging and pleading for forgiveness, requesting their nephew to accompany them home.

Though the victimized man is no hurry to reconcile with them or trust them yet, Guddu and Yogi secretly instigate Indu that the sudden outpour from the mama’s family must hold some significance – a thought that Indu was also in accordance with!
While still putting on a mask of defiance, Indu ponders silently ‘I will be at an advantage if I stay with them…I’ll come to know what and when they’ll be planning against me…just have to keep my ears and eyes open at all times’
Turning to face them, Indu then concedes half heartedly ‘Fine..after all you are my mother’s brother…’ walking up to the lawyer, Indu warns him in a mean tone ‘But, don’t break my trust again mama…don’t forget that I am YOUR nephew, after all…’
Hugging Indu in an act of affection, the two adversaries decide to patch up and return to the Tiwari flat – each for their own selfish reasons.

Mathur’s & Tiwari’s
‘I’ve filled the form but I know nothing of politics’ sanchi says, as she brings her friend a cup of tea ‘I have no other go than to win the hearts of all students…I’ve to let them know that I am fighting for their sake’
Mehek then proceeds to repeat the same question that she had asked in the morning – the query pertaining to Indu Singh!
‘No I cannot forget what all he has done to me or to my parents…’ Sanchi replies ‘He is only innocent in Swetha Jha’s case…it doesn’t mean he is innocent otherwise…if I withdraw my name now…Indu Singh will think I’ve conceded defeat’ and that I am weak’

Probably because he did not want to clue his mama in on the reality, Indu nonchalantly explains to his uncle that he did not care if he lost or won the elections – Profit, loss, win, defeat – it meant nothing between him and his Sanchi, he says!
Unaware of the bitterness between Indu and Sanchi, Sadanand tries brainwashing his nephew otherwise – that politics was no place for emotions ‘Now, you did so much for her…but, did she consider her to be your husband? No, right? In politics there is only place for one relationship – that of enmity!’
Indu is not able to say much to refute the statement that his uncle had just made.

‘I’m fighting elections against him and he is a competitor nothing else’ Sanchi corrects her inquisitive friend
‘Yes you are right…’ Mehek interrupts ‘But the way he helped you in Swetha’s case…probably he’s changed…’
‘He only helped himself…he was also trapped with Shukla right?’ Sanchi concludes

‘Stop thinking by your heart and start using your brains…just imagine…God forbid, you lose this elections…your political career will be ruined…’ Sadanand pauses ‘I want you to shine in politics..and for that you have to win these elections against Sanchi!’
Indu looks away, a glint of determination on his face evident.

University grounds
Sanchi reaches the college to hear cries of her name resonating in the university grounds. There were posters of her all over. Swetha and Kiran were canvassing for her on a podium – it was more than she could ask for! An ecstatic Sanchi beams with pride and is wholeheartedly supported by Mehek in her joy.
Garlanded and welcomed grandly, Sanchi is ushered into the college grounds. (not very different to what Indu is used to)
Soon after, even the media approaches the contestant, interested in knowing her views on the forthcoming elections.
Enjoying the attention and adulation, Sanchi admits into the mike that she was only doing all of it to help her fellow-students.

Riding on his bike with his (suddenly clingy) mama in the passenger seat, Indu parks the vehicle outside the college grounds. Witnessing the commotion surrounding Sanchi and her popularity, the young man becomes enraged.

Precap: Veenaji does not want sanchi to fight in the upcoming elections. (which Im sure is pointless anyway, as Sanchi will do as she pleases)
