RK Laxman Ki Duniya completes 200 episodes yesterday

Hats off Productions’ RK Laxman Ki Duniya on SAB TV completes 200 episodes yesterday.

The serial is a story of the famous cartoonist R K Laxman and a common man who struggles in life to achieve his dreams. In fact, he is a middle-class man with high values. It’s not easy to sustain a show which is realistic and has already established in the minds of the people.

We got in touch with producer JD Majethia to know his views on the completion of 200 episodes of his show.

“Well the show is very close to my heart. It’s not easy to sustain a show, which is so very real, and full of real emotions, to establish it in the minds of the people. The 200 episodes is equal to 300 or 400 episode of some other show. I can’t pull a story more than three episodes as I can’t be redundant with the script and plot.

I can’t repeat the issue of petrol hike, inflation again-and-again. I have to be real but at the same time not repetitive. For most of the screenplay, I sit with the creative team before it goes to the channel and am in constant touch with director and co-producer Dharmesh Mehta.

Honestly speaking, I was very doubtful whether I would be able to make it as it’s a very difficult to make something really different. I am happy that we are successfully completing 200 episodes and wish that we keep on entertaining the audience at large.”

Avers Dharmesh Mehta, “I am very happy that the serial completes 200 episodes yesterday. I was this as I knew people at large would relate to this show.”

We wish the show completes 2000 episodes..!!!
