Rashmi “Jhalak” Desai fears eliminations
Rashmi Desai is shining at the moment. This pretty looking actress, who booked her place in the hearts of TV lovers playing Tapasya in Colors’ Uttaran, is currently displaying her “step up” side. Well…to be precise, she is throwing in some awesome dance performances in Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (BBC Worldwide Entertainment).
Talking about this dance reality show, she shared with us, “Jhalak is very important for me as I love dancing. It is my passion. And though it is very taxing physically… I would want to go on. There are times when I get hurt while rehearsing but it does not put me down. I always jump back.”
After a little pause she added, “There is so much to do on this show. Earlier we had just one performance later it was two and now it’s three. So the competition is getting tougher with each passing day but I will put my best.”
However, there is one thing that this actress does not like about this reality show. What is it? Let’s find out… “I don’t like eliminations. I feel everybody should perform and never leave.” So does she fear elimination too? “Yes, there is this fear of going away from people I have got connected to on this stage. But then I know that the audience loves me and I trust them.”
It’s true that this gorgeous belle has managed to pull some awesome dance acts. But that has not come without a lot of hard work and patience. “I am not a trained dancer so there are certain steps that I fail to pick up quickly. In fact, there are times when my choreographer Deepak tells me that he will change a step to make things easy. But then I seek for some more time, practice and get things done.”
She is indeed working hard…so will she emerge as the winner in this season? “You never know what will unfold as my co-contestants are also very strong. But I will work hard irrespective of whether I win or lose.”
Now…we all know that Rashmi is married to actor Nandish Sandhu. So she being so tied up…does it become difficult for her to spend time with her beau?
“No…actually he is very supportive. Since both of us are doing shows we try and be on each other’s sets when free (Nandish is in Phir Subah Hogi). And otherwise…I try to reach home as early as possible.”
Furthermore, there was a buzz in the media about Nandish and Rashmi coming up with a production house however the actress rubbished it all and said, “It’s nothing like that. Had we planned to come up with a production house it would have been on a grand scale. And then we also need time for it. Currently we do not have time to work on a production house.”
Lastly… we asked her if she would return to Uttaran anytime soon…to which she replied, “No… I am not entering Uttaran yet.”
