Rangrasiya 13th January 2014 Written Episode
Scene 1
paro is emotional at her bidai and remember how bindi use to tease her, she has flashback of bindi saying that to spend time with her as nobody know when we will get time again. Paro does the ritual of throwing rice behind. She meets her mami, thakurain and then thakur who blesses her, paro is crying and sits in palanquin while keep looking. Barat goes away. Thakur consoles thakurain.
Scene 2
at border, the security is tight, barat reaches the checkpoint of bsd at border . They are stopped by a man on camel. He throws away his shawl and jumps. Its aman. Otherside thakur says to someone on phone that i have done my work, the barat has leaved from here and now nobody can stop it from crossing the border. Next scene we see rudra riding the bike, he stops at where barat is standing. All looks at him, paro sees him and is shocked and remember how he saved her and how thakur said that bsd took bindi away. She is tensed. Kaka comes forward and ask varun to stay back, he ask rudra what happened. Rudra ask soldiers to search their luggage, kaka says its barat, we are going away with girl of your village. Rudra says we will see with what you have come here and what are you taking back. Soldier searches and says there is nothing in their luggage, kaka says see i told you there is nothing. Kaka shows him their visa. aman is about to open the palanquin but man stops him saying bride is inside. You cant see in. Rudra looks palanquin with intense eyes, kaka pleads him saying its a bad omen to see new bride, its highly disrespectful to see her. Please let us go, our family women are waiting, rudra doesnt listen and start walking towards palanquin, varun comes outside and pleads rudra to not see her, he stops rudra saying we are common people, you can search us but dont insult my wife by seeing her. Rudra doesnt listen, aman says to varun you come here with guns and take money back. Varun pleads to search him, rudra doesnt listen and moves forward but doesnt see in palanquin and ask soldier to open bride’s box. Soldier is trying to open box’s lock, kaka points to his men. They take their position with guns, when box is opened, the man fires the bsd officer, rudra takes out his gun and start firing, soon battle start, everybody has gun and are firing continuously, rudra is blindly firing, aman is shot by one man, rudra is fighting and comes face to face with paro, pointing gun at her, he remembers his last encounter with her, how he took her in his arms(rr song plays), paro then remembers her bad dreams of bsd, how her parents were killed by bsd, people’s words about bsd, she becomes hyper and falls on ground unconscious.
Precap-someone attacks from rudra from behind with dagger, he is injured and falls unconscious, the baratis surround him and one man says our shoes has got dirt with mud of this country but today we will clean them by killing him.

BSD officer Rudra (Ashish Sharma) and simple girl Paro (Sanaya Irani) has confronted by having a great hate in Rang rasiya on Colors.
The upcoming episode will bring a very dramatic track between Rudra and Paro.
Paro will be dressed up in bridal dress for marriage and Rudra will drag her into his jail.
Paro will be heartbroken when Rudra tells her that Raja Saheb is involved in drug case.
Rudra will put a condition in front of Paro that if she wants to save herself then she will have to sign on the papers where it is written that Raja Saheb is real culprit.
Rudra’s dangerous avatar will make Paro very much scared and she will be in dilemma to go against Raja Saheb who brought up her.

Khushbu Thakkar, who was recently seen in Star Plus’ Veera and Zee TV’s Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein, is all set to enter in Nautanki Films’ Rangrasiya on Colors.
Our source says, “Khushbu will be seen playing the character of Sunehri who will be Rudra’s (Ashish Sharma) cousin sister but she loves him like her real brother. She will be Udit Shukla’s real sister in the show and she is the only daughter in their family. Its going to be a very light hearted character as compared to her on-screen family characters who are shown bit aggressive in the show.”
When contacted Khushbu she said, “I can’t comment anything on it right now.”

The story of Rangrasiya is set in a village known as Birpur situated at the border of Rajasthan which is ruled by Thakur Tejawat Singh (Tarun Khanna) who influences the village people against the security forces Bhartiya Suraksha Dal (BSD). Every year he takes the responsibility of marrying off a girl from the village to a boy from across the border and in the process smuggles arms from them in exchange of money. Parvati (Sanaya Irani) is an orphan girl who has lost her parents in a firing which she believes has been the BSD handiwork but in fact it is the Thakur’s men who have done it. It is her turn to get married to a guy from across the border but the BSD gets a hint of the smuggling and are about to catch hold of Thakur.
Rudra Pratap Ranawat (Ashish Sharma) has a troubled childhood when his mother has eloped leaving him and his father and since then he hates girls. Laila (Ankita Sharma), a nautch girl with negative shades is in love with him. Rudra and Pravati have a minor chance encounter as kids when Parvati hands him her doll when she sees him crying. They meet again as adults but in unusual circumstances when Rudra who is now a BSD officer saves her from goons but Parvati with her recurrent nightmares about BSD officers is terrified in his presence since the Thakur has always instilled hatred and fear about them and Parvati has grown up thinking that everyone from BSD is bad.
Even as the BSD fast catches up on the Thakur’s wrongdoings, Parvati is married and is all set for bidaai.
What works –
The different style of story is what gains an upper hand with each scene being wait worthy. The Rajasthani background and setting with perfect locations chosen for the shoot making it look genuine is what makes the show stand apart. The show so far has been shot in the deserts and the outdoor location, camels, etc., lend it an authentic touch.
Amongst the actors Sanaya Irani who has earlier always done urban characters, has adapted well to the Rajasthani avtar. She looks pretty and delicate as ever in the traditional attire with chunky jewellery to match. Ashish Sharma’s portrayal of Rudra is subtle yet impactful and he makes quite an impression in the action scenes. The tall, good looking, dimpled Tarun Khanna is notable and makes his presence felt. Ankita Sharma apart from being a noted actress is a music and dance exponent and is perfect for the role.
The background score by Ashish Rego is haunting and apt. The action and fight scenes by action director Amar Shetty add to the thrill factor of the show.
What does not work –
Sanaya Irani looking innocent as ever is a natural beauty and she would have looked beautiful even with less or subtle make-up, just enough to highlight her stunning looks. While it is okay to glam her up a bit for the wedding scenes, the scenes where she gets up in the morning with heavy make-up or when she is at home it looks odd.
While we agree that the show is set in the interiors of Rajasthan the sprinkling of Rajasthani language is a bit too much since it is ultimately a Hindi show. It is difficult to understand what is being said and sometimes even the actors look as if they are making extra special efforts to speak the dialogues.
Our take –
The show will definitely be liked by those who were waiting for something new to watch other than the family dramas. Rangrasiya with its raw, earthy touch can fill in that desire but only if it stays away from getting typical in the future.
So far, Sanaya and Ashish have shared just couple of scenes together on the show and they look good too. Their chemistry needs to be explored more and once their love story takes shape it will be able to generate more interest and keep the audience glued to the show.
