Ramayan 30th June 2013 Written Update by sherlock
All the monkeys & bears have assembled to start their march towards Lanka. (I think there were many bears in the army, but here they show only Jambavantji, anyways.) Sugreev tells them that Shri Hanuman has found Maa Janaki, & it’s time to attack Lanka & free her from captivity. They ask Shri Ram to lead them. Lord accepts, & then asks Hanuman to tell all the soldiers about the military preparedness of Lanka. Hanumanji describes Lanka’s location; it’s military capabilities etc. in detail. He also informs everyone about the damage he has caused to Lanka’s arsenal during his recent visit.
Shri Ram says that we’ll start tomorrow morning, and the army will proceed in the arrow-formation. Description of arrow-formation, followed by Shri Ram assigning places to warriors in that formation (which I no longer remember).
During the night, Shri Ram is looking towards the moon, Shri Lakshman comes and ask him to rest for a while. He replies that he cannot rest, and the moment he has been waiting for since long, is about to arrive.
Next morning, Shri Ram reminds all the soldiers about the rules of warfare, and how a marching army should make sure that it causes no disturbance to people of villages & cities falling in its path. He tells his monkey army to keep in mind that this war is not against merely a person Raavan, but against forces of adharm. He asks Lord Shiv & Maa Parvati for blessings, & then the army proceeds.
In Lanka, Sitaji is worried whether Hanuman was able to get away from Lanka, & if he has managed to reach Shri Ram, why is the Lord yet to arrive? Trijata assures her that no one can harm Hanuman, & Ram will reach lanka soon.
The army keeps proceeding towards Lanka without stopping. This march was described very well by a background song, which, as is the case with most of the background songs & music of this show, is very melodious to hear.
The army reaches sea-shore, and everybody is thinking about how to cross the ocean.
Vibhishan again goes to Raavan & requests him to return Shri Janaki to Shri Ram. Meghnaad too joins the conversation, & tells Vibhishan that instead of advising Raavan, he too should kidnap someone else’s wife. Vibhishan taunts him at his inability to cause any harm to Hanuman, leading Maghnaad to take out a knife & try to attack Vibhishan, but Raavan stops him.
Lakshmanji tells his elder bro that while they try to think of a way to cross the ocean, he should somehow get the message across to Maa Bhumija that he has reached here. Jambavant advises Shri Ram to use Vayudev as his messenger. Ramji shouts to Sita that he has reached the sea-shore, & will soon reach lanka.
Bhumija hears Shri Ram’s message in lanka, & is obviously very happy about it, leading all the demoness(is there such a word in English, no idea) to think that she is acting all weird. Trijata asks if she is alright, & Janaknandini tells her, with other demoness listening, that she has heard her husband’s message, & that her husband has reached the other side of the ocean. Except Trijata, no one else believes her, and everyone laughs at her.
This side of the ocean, some suggestions come up regarding crossing the ocean, none too satisfactory. Shri Ram asks everyone to be patient.
In Lanka, Mandodari again repeats what she has been saying to Raavan for quite some time now, i.e. return Sita to Ram. This time, she again reminds Raavan of all the bad omens happening in Lanka even since Sitaji arrived there. She also says that her mind is so disturbed that when she sits down to recite Ved-mantras, she keeps forgetting them. Raavan, true to form, takes her sane advice & gives it a convoluted meaning, accusing Mandodari of being worried about losing her title of Pat-rani (Queen no. 1). Just then, there’s some commotion outside, & a palace guard enters their room (why palace guards in Lanka enter without knocking & taking permission, the room in which their Queen & King are talking, is something the producers should explain to us) to inform Raavan that Shri Ram, with his army of monkeys have reached the far-side of the ocean. Mandodari is more worried now (if that’s possible that is, ‘coz she already appeared extremely worried about her husband’s safety) while Raavan says that he’ll discuss this with his ministers in court.
Shri Janaki realizes that demoness guarding her are talking about her. She asks Trijata about it, who informs her that Ram has indeed arrived on the sea-shore, and that’s why women in Lanka are highly impressed with Sita’s love for, and trust in, her husband Shri Ram. Maa Sita is very happy, & prays to Goddess Parvati.
Message at the end of the episode: An unknown gal saying something, no idea.
Precap : In Raavan’s court, Vibhishan is sitting near his feet, pleading with him to return Janaki to Ram. A mad with anger Raavan kicks him real hard; Vibhishan falls down those stairs & lands on the floor.
