Ramayan 19th August 2012 Written Update

Part 1
Episode starts with Gurudev doing the naming ceremony of all 4 babies. For the fisrt Baby the name chosen is RAM as he is like a sunshine and brightness and beautiful and enchanting, who can bring peace to everyone’s mind. Dasharath, Kaushalya are ecstatic while Manthreya is furious that Ram is getting so much accolades. Gurudev names Kaikaye’s son as Bharat , Sumitra’s sons as Laxman & Shatrugna as they are like Agni and destroyer of enemies. Gurudev says these 4 sons will uphold honesty,truth, respect and will become Adarsh Purush of Raghukul. Dasharath and his wives are delighted.

Celebrations start in Ayodhya while in Kailash Shivji says Bhagwan Vishnu have made the whole Ayodhya a temple place by taking birth. All the gods decide to ascend on the earth and visit Vishnuji. They disguise as hermits and arrive at the palace. King Dasharath welcomes them and says from their looks he feels they are very special rishis while Rishi’s say they have come to the Darshan of Ram.King Dasharath takes them to meet baby Ram when the rishis bow they head in respect to Bhagwan Vishnu.

Vishnuji says he has taken birth as a human to show the samaj about Dharam, Neethi and how a human being should stay and requests them to always assist him in this Avatar. Brahmaji assures of his assistance. Kaushalya feels baby Ram is talking to Rishis while Dasharath says he is so small how can he speak to the rishis. The Rishis tells that Ram will be known as Maryada Purushotham Sri Ram and bless Dasharath & his wives. The Rishis take leave while Dasharath follows them and they disappear round the corner leaving Dasharath wondering where they went.

Ram’s childhood is shown where he is the apple of the eyes of Dasharath, Kaushalya, Sumithra & Kaikaye. Manthra is not pleased to see this. They engage Ram in various games and are delighted to see him play. Kaikeyi is playing with Ram when Manthra comes and starts taunting her. Kaikeyi says all 4 kids belong to all 3 of us & if I am taking care of Ram then Kaushalya is with Bharath and when I play with Ram I feel like Eshwar is with me. Manthra says eshwar is existing in Bharath while Kaikeyi tells her eshwar exists in Ram.

Ram is playing hide & seek with Kaushalya when she catches him hiding behind the bed. Kaushalya makes him sit on the bed and leaves while Vishnuji’s great devotee kalbushan comes in the disguise of a bird and thinks this small baby cannot be my Vishnuji and snatches away the food which Ram was eating. Ram starts to cry and then stretches his hand and reaches up miles behind the flying bird. Kalbushan seeing the hand behind him recognizes that the small baby is indeed Bhagwan Vishnu & apologises to him returning to Ayodhya. Vishnuji blesses kalbushan that he will always remain his great devotee.

Part 2

Kaushalya is making Ram sleep by singing a lullaby to him while Dasharath comes hearing her sing. He stands by the door and watches the mom & son and feels happy & satisfied. Kaushalya sings that its her prayers for which Ram has come as an answer in her life. A few years go by and Ram is now grown up boy but Kaushalya continues to sing and make him sleep. Kaushalya sees Dasharath in same place everyday looking at them from the doorway. Kaushalya asks how long will he daily stand and watch Ram sleep while Dasharath says the pleasure he gets watching Ram cant be equated to anything.

Ram and his brothers are playing Kandukh (Looked similar to hockey) while Dasharath and his wives watch them in pleasure. Ram & Laxman are in one team while Bharath & Shatrugna in one team. Sumithra says Laxman cant live without Ram while Bharath & shatrugna are inseparable. Kaushalya says all 4 brothers love one another equally. Ram is about to win when he sacrifices his victory for Bharath and says he will always give up anything for Bharath. Laxman is furious while Ram & Bharath hug one another. Laxman & Shatrugna too join the embrace while Dasharath and his wives look at them proudly.

Lunch time all are sitting together when Dasharath feeds Ram while other brothers say they are not hungry, Ram questions as to what happened when Bharath, Laxman and Shatrugn say that Pitaji always feeds you first but not us, Ram says how can they question their father’s love and the reason why father feeds him first is so that Ram can feed his brothers himself. Ram feeds all his 3 brothers who are pleased with him. Dasharath looks proudly at Ram.

Kaikeyi says Ram is so good that he knows how to keep his brothers happy. Dasharath says he was wondering when all 4 brothers go to gurukul how they will stay but now he is relieved. The queens asks about Gurukul when Dasharath says the right time has come for all 4 to join gurukul and learn about astra & shastra & education while the queens become emotional.

Ram,Laxman, Bharath & Shatrugna become Bramhacharis wearing the sacred thread under the Upanayana ceremony while the gurudev accepts them as his disciples. Gurudev says from today their education starts, when Ram asks whats the meaning of upanayan, Gurudev says it means a new beginning. Gurudev completes the havan and says its time to ask for Bhiksha now to quench their hunger & says Bhiksha will teach us to be humble and bow down irrespective of whether we are kings or poor people as it will teach us to be humble and selfless. Ram, Laxman, Bharath & Shatrugna ask Kaushalya, Sumitra & Kaikeyi for Bhiksha saying Bhavathi Bhiksham Devi. The mothers become emotional at this sight.

Part 3

An emotional Kaushalya gives all 4 sons Bhiksha followed by Sumithra & Kaikeyi. Gurudev asks them to leave for Gurukul without looking back at their parents. Kaushalya asks if they have to go now itself while Gurudev says yes they have to leave immediately and that too on bare foot not using a chariot. The mothers are close to tears while the 4 brothers leave with Gurudev towards gurukul. An emotional Dasharath & his wives watch them leave. Kaushalya says how can Gurudev take them away so soon that also on barefoot. Kaikeyi says what will happen to their feet when Sumitra says how will we stay away from them , we have all luxuries here while the 4 kids will spend life begging alms.

Precap : Dasharath informs his queens that Ram & his brother’s education is completed and will be returning to Ayodhya soon when Kaikeyi asks how does Ram look. Dasharath starts describing how Ram may look now.
