The Episode begins with Vibhishan meeting Ram Lakshman and other Vanars including Jamavant ,Hanuman ,Sugriva and Angad. Though they are sceptical about his intentions.
Vibhishan narrates his tale of horror about the injustice done to him by his brother, how Ravan insulted him when he tried to talk about returning Janaki Mata back to him, Ravan called him a traitor-“GHAR KA BHEDI” and threw him away from his kingdom. Vibhishan also prays to Ram to show mercy to his fellow countrymen back in Lanka who are innocent.
Ram extends his hands in friendship and announces Vibhishan as the king of Lanka. He also says that his coronation ceremony will take place with the water of the ocean as all the holy rivers ultimately unite with the ocean and its water is the most pious of all.
One Guptachar overhears this and leaves to convey this information to Lanka.
In Lanka, Ravan laughs on hearing this piece of information and says one beggar cannot help another. The courtiers all laugh in unison but Indrajeet ‘s grandfather is not convinced. He puts forward his view point saying that it might be a fatal decision to ignore such politics. By announcing Vibhishan the king of Lanka ,they might be trying to divide and rule as Vibhishan’s supporters might start an agitation against Ravan.
The scene shifts back to Ram’s tent in the night.
Ram is upset about Sita’s message brought by Vibhishan about her constant waiting for Lord Ram and Lakshman looks on and tries to console him .
Hanuman enters saying Sugriva is waiting for you. Ram brings Sugriva inside the tent and expresses his gratitude for helping them like a friend. Ram says he will never forget whatever Sugriva has done for their friendship.
Back in Lanka they contemplate on the fact and the points raised by Indrajeet’s grandfather. Indrajeet suggests attacking the Vanars instantly without giving them the time to think .But Later after lots of arguments and cross arguments they zero in to a plot of sending a messenger to Sugriva to try the divide and rule policy back on them.
In their camp, Ram warns everyone to be cautious because the Rakshas are Mayavi and they can create a ruckus in the camp site. Everyone assures him that they are ready for any fight and excited for the war. So he should be assured completely.
The messenger named Shukh takes the form of a bird and flies to their camp. Around a bonfire, Angad is sitting along with some Vanars and they are a little worried about the fact that all the all rakshas are mayavi with Magical powers. How will they be able to fight them? Vanar are scared and apprehensive for a fraction of second.
But Angad re-affirms that they are fighting for truth. It is the strongest motivation in itself and this force is on their side .Since Lord Ram stands for truth. Truth alone will survive all odds. Vanars are convinced but still are worried about the fact of crossing the ocean
They say that they have heard about Agastya Muni who had drank the whole water of the ocean once.
They guess Ram will perhaps call him for him help because he was the one who had given Ram all magical weapons too. The Messenger in the form of the bird flies past them.
In Ram’s tent, Lakshman is shown pressing Ram’s feet .He calmly expresses his belief saying that though everyone is worried about the ways of crossing the ocean but still they have faith on Ram as he has the powers to dry the ocean’
Ram replies that he indeed can do the same but he is looking for some alternative ways.
Sugriva suggests the idea of consulting Vibhishan in this matter as he is a rakshas. Everyone seems to agree including Hanuman. So Ram gives instructions to everyone to call it a night and early morning they would re-assemble top discuss this matter with Vibhishan. Everyone retires to their respective tents.
While retiring to his tent ,Vibhishan sees Shukh in bird form and he is worried watching him enter Sugriva’s tent .He follows him and peeps through the window eavesdropping their conversation.
Shukh is welcomed and given a seat by Sugriva as he is a messenger. Shukh conveys Ravan’s salutations to Sugriva saying that Ravan too considers him as a younger brother because Sugriva is the younger brother of their loyal friend Bali.
Sugriva accepts the greetings and asks him to narrate the message of Ravan. Shukh tries every notion under the book by trying to lure Bali with the promises of riches and the luxury of Lanka .
He gives the logic that Sita has been kidnapped BECAUSE Lankesh felt bad for the poor woman who had to face the life of a vagabond due to Vanvaas. So by Kidnapping her ,Ravan gave her the comfort of a home. He says that since Lanka people are closer to Kishkindha they can come to his help anytime even sooner than those Ayodhya people.
And then he finally warns that this war will build up a lifelong enmity between vanars and rakshas severing ties of friendship. So Shukh asks Sugriva to quit being on Ram’s side and accept the friendship or Ravan.
Sugriva is furious and declares emphatically in front of Shukh that riches and luxuries come to end after a certain point of time. He is angry and he says he cannot support a sinner in greed of riches or fear of Ravan. Vibhishan too enters the scene saying he have no love for crown’So he asks Shukh to convey this message to Ravan to come and ask forgiveness from Ram returning his wife .
Vibhishan asks Shukh for a favour , ” Why can’t you collect the popular belief and come to help us ”
Shukh humbly refuses calling this against his “sewak dharma”
Shukh leaves with the message to Ravan.
Vibhishan bows to Sugriva floored by his loyalty towards lord ram and they wish each other.
On hearing the message from Shukh back in Lanka, Everyone is in deep contemplation. After consulting the pros and cons ,Ravan finally decides to get into action next morning.
Early morning Ram and others are sitting on the sea shore .Ram asks Vibhishan about the possible ways to cross the ocean. They all come to a conclusion saying that whatever Vibhishan has told about the security arrangements, Hanuman had always said the same things. Vibhishan praises Hanuman commending on his judicious destruction of Lanka’s most secured places. Together they contemplate about the ways of crossing the bridge
Precap : Lord Ram is shown pointing arrows towards the ocean challenging it in anger.
