The Episode starts with Ahilya getting praised by Harku bai. Gautama looks on. Ahilya’s brothers talk about Khanderao. They go to see him. Khanderao isn’t able to sleep. He senses someone and asks who is it. He sees the lightning bugs. He can’t see anything in darkness. He asks who is here, is anyone here, tell me. He gets scared.

Ahilya comes to help. She laughs seeing him scared. He says it got dark suddenly, what’s all this. She says lightning bugs, you didn’t come out of your palace right, how would you know, the bugs don’t bite, even then you got scared, you had scared me. He asks did you take revenge on me. She says no, I had to show if any devil comes, everyone gets scared. She goes and stops her brothers at the door.

Its morning, Sushila says real shagun rituals will be done today. She prepares Ahilya. Everyone gets ready and comes in the lawn. Malhar asks Khanderao to come and sit. Dwarka reminds her daughter’s marriage functions. Harku doesn’t like the saree and comments. She says we will give this sarees to anyone poor. Sushila hears this and cries. Malhar asks Khanderao to apologize. Khanderao apologizes to them. Mankoji says its okay. They give the shagun and do the ritual. Ahilya comes for the shagun ritual. Gautama gets much shagun. She says we could do less being in a hurry. Gautama says we have to be careful, everything should be there in shagun. Sushila says its about Ahilya’s life, I will give anything to get shagun for Khanderao. Mankoji says no, we will do it by our status, Malhar proposed this alliance by seeing our status. She asks what if Ahilya hears taunts in her Sasural.

Gautama does tilak to Ahilya. She says all this is for you, tell me, what do you want. Ahilya picks a pumpkin instead the jewellery. Harku says you didn’t like anything else. Ahilya says yes, but… Gautama says she doesn’t know valuable things and you chose her for Khanderao. He asks what will you do of this pumpkin. Ahilya plants the pumpkin seeds. Malhar says you won’t be here when the plants grow. Ahilya says if I chose saree or jewellery, only I could have worn it, but the vegetables would be consumed by everyone. Harku praises her thinking. She says you regard the village as family.

Malhar says I like her thinking, I m glad that you also saw her quality. He sees Gautama. Khanderao says Malhar scolded me, he is praising her, if I chose the pumpkin, I would have become a joke. Mankoji says Ahilya’s thinking makes her different and special, she has got respect for us. Malhar says Ahilya has a talent to make ordinary thing precious. Dwarka says Khanderao won’t become a king by marrying such a girl. Gautama says he has scolded my son and praised Ahilya, Harku did this to please Malhar. Bana bai comes and asks when will we go to temple. Gautama says ask Harku bai, she is sensible. Bana says yes, Harku got attention by praising Ahilya, I didn’t like Ahilya.
