The Episode starts with Yashwant telling Ahilya about the britishers. She says its bad news, they will try to conquer India. Malerao meets the britishers. He holds his sword. The officers bow down to him and present the gifts. The officer introduces himself as Colonel Roos from East india company. He presents a gun to Malerao. Everyone looks on. The villagers smile seeing the gifts. Roos says I heard the news of your war with Chandravat, I want to compensate your loss. Malerao looks on confused. Ahilya talks to Tukoji and Yashwant. She says we have to give them an answer when the britishers are entering India, send a message to Malerao, I don’t want their shadow to fall on Malerao, because the britishers are those snakes which spread poison without biting.
Roos sees the snake charmers. He says it’s the land of snake charmers. Roos welcomes Malerao. Malerao greets them. Roos says its called values. Malerao says you got gifts for us, these gifts are for you. Roos says this is my wife. She forwards her hand. Roos says she is greeting you, its our tradition, she wants to welcome you. Gunu ji smiles. Malerao says thanks. Roos says no, we find it an insult, that is not a way a lady should be greeted, I will tell you how to respect women. He holds her hand and kisses. She gives her hand to Malerao again. Malerao says thanks again, sorry, you respected me and gave me gifts, this is against our culture, sorry. He shows the sketch. He says look at this, think about it, your country will progress, fate and luck will run as these vehicles run on the roads. Malerao asks can’t we bring this to Malwa.
