Punar Vivah 22nd February 2013 Written Episode
Scene 1:
Location: Yash’s residence.
The whole scindia family is parading akash, with smeared face. Yash is told by arti to stop this drama. yash says that its not a drama if the family is happy. Arti says that even he knows that akash doesnt belong outside the family. Yash says that they had decided that they won talk about this. When arti says that he knows the half truth, he demands to know about the whole truth.
Yash tells arti that they would have to forget that akash is the illegitimate child of this house. Arti breaks down saying that akash indeed is the legitimate child of the family, whereas he is suraj and radha’s son. Yash is shocked to hear this. She says that whatever he thought of akash till now, is actually his identity and his is akash’s. yash cant believe this and goes berserk. Arti says that he might find this difficult to digest but this is the truth. Yash says that she’s drunk and then throws water on her face, asking her if she’s in her senses now. Arti swears on her kids that she’s speaking the truth. She then goes on to tell the entire story to the family, as they are drawn towards yash and arti, hearing yash shout. She says that she heard it from radha. The whole family is shocked to hear this. She asks how could she stay quiet hearing this. She says that she’s in full senses. She wont let this injustice happen that akash is denied his rightful place in the society.
Arti goes over to akash and takes off the shoe necklace, while everyone stands puzzled. She apologizes for everyone in the famile, while the scindia family is angry, saying that what happened to him as very wrong. she takes akash upto gayatri saying that he is her son. Gayatri is confused while radha is distraught. Gayatri too reprimands her for having gone mad. Arti, with folded hands asks her to accept akash, and hug him, and address him as her son. She takes him to suraj and pleads him also to accept him. She pleads him to give the rightful place of akash in the family. Pankaj too reprimands her for speaking nonsense. Arti says that she’s speaking the truth, and that whatever be the reason and background of him having 30years of a different environment, they should accept him back. She says that she cant see injustice and she wont budge till he agrees to accept him. Yash is speechless and he and gayatri are overwhelmed with emotions, while others are still confused.
Vidhi says that she never thought suraj was capable of this. she wonders what is gayatri going through right now, with her faith being shattered on her husband. Pankaj says that she needs to stop, as whoever suraj is, he’s after all a man who made a mistake. He says that suraj did this to save the family, not to betray them. Vidhi says that he’s thinking like a man, and if he ever tried to put himself in the shoes of the woman whose whole life had been shattered, he would understand the dilemma.
Suraj says that this is the only, first and last mistake of his life. gayatri stoically asks him not to clarify himself, as she has always understood what he said or even didnt tell her. She tells him that she wont leave him and fulfill her duties as a wife till even the last minute. she says that as a child too, all girls have been taught that they have to treat their husbands as Gods, and always remember that the husband cant do any wrong.
In his room, yash is distraught to have known the truth. Arti comes looking for him and is upset to see him like this. she sits beside him and places a hand on his shoulder, which yash takes in his hand and says tha he wishes that all of this was false. Arti comforts him by patting him on the chek, saying that she too wishes the same. She says that still the truth wont change anything, as relations dont change overnight. she says that gayatri wont ever consider her as a stranger, as he has always been and will always be Suraj’s and gayatri’s son.
Vidhi says that he might ignore his father’s mistake, but how can he forget gayatri’s pain. Pankaj says that what should he do now, turn away from his father branding him as a criminal. Pankaj says that its difficult for him also to understand and come to terms with the fact that where yash stands today, that is akash’s rightful place, and the love and relation that they share with yash is actually akash’s. Vidhi too is disturbed to hear this. Prateik too is disturbed. Prateik says that yash always was, is and will always be their real brother and that no truth can change this fact that he is the son of this family. Vidhi too supports prateik’s opinion.
Arti too convinces yash that nothing would change as all of them would still love and be affectionate towards yash as they always were. She says that only one more relation would be added, the long seperated son of this family who will be whole heartedly welcomed into this big generous family, and that then they would all live like a big happy family. She says that this is what defines a family, and therefore they shouldnt have any regrets about it. She says that she knows it would be difficult but that he should not give extra thought to it. She again hugs him close to her, while he sits motionless unable to speak. The screen freezes on yash’s sad face.

When reached home checked your response and felt he didn’t disturb you much instead Gayathri’s spontaneous surrender & acceptance of his betrayal angered you very much.
I was expecting this from her but atleast she might’ve kept silence despite of her immediate forgiveness. She didn’t give chance to that man to regret even for a second….and also her facial expressions are not perfect , perhaps she didn’t perform convincingly, basically she is a great actor….I don’t know what happened this time….

February 22, 16:08Very sad episode. I have to admit that I cried a little bit during this episode. I now accepted Aarti’s decision. The truth needed to be out, but Aarti should have thought more about it. For some reason, Aarti seemed a bit insensitive to the family’s feelings. She was blurting out the truth without any explanation and telling people to accept Aakaush. This truth hurt so many people. Aakaush was crying because he has a new mother and was abandoned by his old one. His family thinks of him as low class and dirty. I hope that the family accepts Aakaush. I was hoping he would be a temporary character, but I am interested to see his role in the family. Gayatri is so upset, I can tell because she is strangely calm and her facial expressions and words are even worse than yelling. I hope she is okay. Her character is such a moral, leader kind of character, which I love about her. She does not deserve to go through this kind of pain. All my blessings go to her. To be a wife of a man whom you found out had another child with another woman. And your real child was neglected and you hated him before would be heart-breaking. I have always disliked Pankaj’s character. He has been unfair and not understand at all throughout the whole serial. He always has no pity for anyone except for those nearest to his heart and who is a man. He has pity for his brother, but not for Aarti. He is pity for his father, but not for Gayatri. He never sees the big picture and understands natural human emotions and actions. Pratiek has always been a character I admired. He always fought for good. He is so innocent and feels guilty if he did something wrong. I am glad that he fought for Yash and I am thrilled that Vidhi is back. Yash seems even more upset than Gayatri. He is feeling like he is low class and doesn’t deserve to be in the family. He probably feels he doesn’t have the right to be in the family and is sorry for doubting Aakaush. He is worried about his family member’s accepting him and his real family. All of this is going on inside of him. I am mad at Radha for switching the children, she messed everything up more. Suraj seems sorry for his mistake, but he should try more to comfort Gayatri and ensure everyone he is sorry and even fold his hands. He is acting as if it is not that important. Anyway, overall very sad episode. What are your thoughts Suni, Afreesh, Magi, Miss Kris, Miss Unbelievable, bluesnow, finusa, and everyone on the forum?

February 22, 22:50Hi Punar Vivah . A persons self worth should never be measured by wealth nor status . Yash is a genuine person , he doesn’t assume a persona like his dad and switch his personality to suit certain situations .
The family isn’t broken , just bent , and they will learn to love again .

February 22, 23:53If I was Gayatri i would have slapped radha hard. Yash was right to say she has disgraced motherhood with the decision she made. I didnt like when Radha enetred the home the first time she gave such deadly eyes and attitude to Gaytri like it was her fault that Suraj found her bed.
Gayatri like any normal wife has the right to protect her husband and marraige no matter how much of a cheat he was. Gayatri didnt know her hubby was a snake and i felt radha should be punished for being insensitive and a bad mother. She sacrificed another woman’s child for her own purpose so that her own child should get to know his father. Radha is punished through the hatred of both sons. She has lost both of her children. She has given both children an identity crisis.
I may not be a mother but i have 2 younger brothers and I would screw anyone over for messing with thier self confidence and identity. Just touch a button just touch dat button and mi woulda light unuh up like a rhatid christmas tree, you woulda tink diwali or di stars did dull compared to what I would do! chu man!
Arti did what she had to do but at times i ask where is the sensitivity in all of this. Her main focus was on getting justice for akash and radha. Im sorry Suni Amacia im still on this issue. I know Yash brought this on himself unknowingly he’s the biggest victim here in all of this. Yash has come a long way from the loss of his wife the guilt he feels in causing his wife’s death to fidning love for that to be threatened by Prashant which was hidden from him. The writers need to give the man a bloody break. If Yash has a breakdown now I wouldnt be suprised. Akash has felt the ridicules of a hypocritical society even if your father cheats on your mom and beats her its ok because they are married and you are legitimate. He has been ill-treated he probably acted like a bloody criminal in order to survive all the stigmas and rules of a immoral society full of hypocrties. He hates the wealthy for having luxuries then when his mom gives him the hope of attaining these hidden wealth he’s always wanted its dangled like a carrot , the dream crushed by suraj and revived by Arti. The man is shattered. Two children are traumatised due to one woman’s decision.
Radha slept with Suraj knowing what consequences could happen she knew what she was doing. She had her fun. Suraj knew what he was doing. A wife of the old school already forgives and accept the man principle or she;s helpless and has no other choice due to her status and reputation. The modern wife would either forgive and ensure Suraj makes it up to her in gaining her trust or divorce him and take very damn cent he has on him or return the favour by BONNING! (horning/cheating)
It takes two to make a child it takes a mother to make the decisions and cultivate values. Radha is a hypocrite to herself. Dont tell him to be a certain way when she herself has committed the biggest crime she has robbed dem blind. She has treated the step-son like shit and favoured her natural son. She has robbed a woman of her motherhood in knowing thats my child when in truth Yash is her other son but akash is from her womb. The real victims are yash akash and gayatri, everyone else is anfetrshock of these 2 criminals (suraj and radha) decision making skills.
The question is will the brothers accept Akash?
Will yash be so guilt ridden that he would leave with his small family ? if he does I gurantee no matter what Arti says yash will stand on this decision and for once she should obey this 2nd thing he has asked of her. She should do this to give him a peace of mind and allow him to heal in the knowledge that he has his immediate family. Even if a man is abandoned by the world just knowing that he has his small family to love and protect gives him enough purpose to survive. After some stability maybe she can start to convince him to return home.
How will Pari Vidhi Gayatri and Maya react in recognising and accepting Ishta the new bahu of the house? I wannt to see them handling this as a delicate matter. Will the welcoming of the new bahu come with post-shadi rituals or simplicity or hatred? Will Radha be living in the home to ensure Ishta and Akash is settled?
Suraj and Gayatri reactions and acceptances?
So many things to ask and look forward to…

I do agree with what you say about Radha . I don’t ever condone the bad that the characters do . I only try to understand why they behave the way they behave .
Radha was young , desperate and probably had some post- partum depression . She raised Akash as best as she could , but he has Schindia and Gayatri’s blood in him .
If she had kept Yash , I am certain that he would have been the success story that you wanted to see . Even if he abandons the wealth now , and ventures out on his own , he will succeed .
Radha may have done wrong , but she acted out of desperation . Papa S was the user who placed her in that situation by misrepresenting himself .

And on the other hand Yash will feel like he doesn’t belong in the family. All this drama is papa’s fault if the kept his zip up and stayed true to his wife this would nt have happen but then their would nt have yash. Also aarti yes we knw she can’t see someone being treated unfairly but that was a delicate matter she should nnt hag just blurted it out for everyone to here. Nw I guess we will see everyone’s true colours. I wonder if ishita still wants revenge on yash and aarti cause she can make their lives miserable seeing as she is the rightful daughter-in-law. And also, I love reading all of your comments, they present new ideas and get me thinking more. :). Firstly, Miss Kris, how are you? I think that Punar Vivah is a serial you really have to think about to decide who is wrong and who is right, but once that is established, then it is easy to determine what kind of behavior they will have in the future. I see that you are mad at Gayatri. I am sticking with my earlier opinion. I think that Gayatri is just in shock, and in a few episodes she is going to explode all over Suraj with her anger and hurt. She is going to make him apologize many times before she actually forgives him, I can see it. Gayatri has much potential, whatever she does in the episode with narrate much, same with Yash. Hello, Amaica, how are you? I am very worried about our Yash. He is going to run away from the family, I feel. The real victims are Yash, Gayatri, Aakaush and most of the family as well. Aakaush is not going to spare Yash. He is going to taunt him and make his life miserable, and Ishita will not even hesitate to do the same. He will overcome this, but he will need careful nurturing along. He needs to feel as if he is appreciated and loved. He needs to feel as if he is important. I wish all the best for him. Don’t give up hope on Gayatri just yet. She will prove herself, she is just in shock. Like Yash when they got back from Mumbai. He was quiet for a while, then all of his anger exploded like a bomb. I do have a tendency to hold out hope for my characters, but I feel that Gayatri will not disappoint more than my other claims. Hi Suni, how are you? I was wondering what your ideas would be on this whole thing. I like your statement that the family is bent, not broken. It will heal over time, but how much time? Yash, Aakaush, and Gayatri and of course everyone else who is hurting need some time to adjust to the truth and then they can all come together as a family. I like this problem because it tests the family’s loyalty to Yash and I am sure that they will pass it. I think that Suraj and Radha are both at fault as well, but Suraj is way more. I see that now. And Miss Unbelievable. Hi, how are you? Your passion and wording always cracks me up (in a good way) :). Your ideas were spot on with mine. I also feel that Radha is at fault as well. It takes two to tango, right? I feel that Gayatri was a major victim during all of this. She fulfilled the role of a wife better than she should have, and this is how Suraj repaid her? By cheating on her and having an illegitamate child. He didn’t even say sorry. The day in age that your husband is God thing is over. Suraj needs to accept that he commited a wrong and ask for everyone’s forgiveness and gain it no matter what it takes. Only then will the family be able to heal and face problems together. Radha has been a bad person. She should have handled the situation differently. When Suraj refused her, she should have demanded or just left so she didn’t hurt any more lives. Instead, only caring about her child, she switched the children. Can you believe that? She mixed up the identities of two children and hurt so many people. She came back with Aakaush to get him his right but did she think about how the truth will impact everyone before that? Did she? No, she doesn’t think of the entire picture. She is mad at Gayatri for trying to get her out of the home when she should understand what Gayatri must be feeling and be sensitive to her feelings because she knows how much this would hurt a woman. Radha commited a very big sin. So big, that it should have counted as three sins. Giving her son his right was cheap and low. She can’t bring back the life that Aakaush lost. Radha screwed this whole thing up even more. About Aarti, oh Aarti. Aarti should not have made that kind of rash decision. She only cared about Aakaush and Radha, and not her own in laws and husband. She should ahve been more considerate. I think that she should have revealed the truth, but I did not like the way she presented it. She did it not for her family’s right to know the truth, but for Aakaush’s. Yash is the biggest victim in all of this, he is suffering the most because he has to deal with knowing he doesn’t belong in the family. This will need much love and care. And then there is the matter of Aakaush. I am not sure if the family will be able to accept Aakaush or even Ishita. I am completely sure that Ishita and Aaksuh will make an effort to make the life of the family even more miserable. I wish the family my best. Everything is so complicated that I hope that everything will bubble down fine. This problem is a very sensitive one concerning many people’s lives. And finally, bluesnow, how are you? I agree with you. There will be many problems to face in the future. But, the family will get through it, don’t worry.

Ms. PV…we have to just wait and see…and remember it’s only a serial…and Suni’s famous statement the writers knows best and let us leave them to do their job.

I tried many times to tell you that Papa S had begun to represent something different in this show . It would require an upheaval to genuinely change his perceptions . Gayatri is similarly set in her ways . The old school rationale does not go down easily , they seldom raise the white flag .
People are only victims if they allow themselves to be victims . Yash is not a victim . Gayatri isn’t a victim . They have means to make their situations better . Gayatri could have spoken out against her treatment . But the writers cleverly gave her weak knees even as a physical condition .Yash is a well educated , amazing , dynamic force . If he wants to build his own empire …he can . .. Radha , was very much a victim . She had no means of bettering herself . She acted like a scared , desperate , young woman , all alone with no support , and up against a society that scorned her . Her actions were understandable given the time and place but still not right . Kinda reminds me of the ipso facto clause that deals with bankruptcy , lol : the initial problem is all that it deals with .Papa S is the man who started this drama by his lack of better judgement . He should not be allowed to simply say sorry . He has to get involved and help fix this mess .

February 24, 10:59Hi Suni. :). I know that I always hold out hope for my characters, so I am hoping that Gayatri will stand up for herself, but I realize that it is probably not likely. I think that everyone is a victim sometime in their life. Gayatri should have talked to Suraj and Radha about her unfair treatment, but a victim is someone who suffers from an unjust or injurous action. That was just her not trying to make herself have less suffering. She was allowing herself to be more of a victim. She was being foolish in this situation, though, I agree. Radha was a victim, but is no longer in my opinion, although she is still suffering. She is not suffering due to Suraj’s mistake, but her own. She carelessly switched the babies. Without thinking of the consequences or other ways to give her baby justice or even what is right and what is wrong, she was careless and stupid. She is suffering from that mistake now, and she ruined many people’s lives. Suraj is even worse. He did not cause this kind of behavior from Radha, so basically everyone is victims of Radha’s behavior. It sounds like I am saying that Suraj isn’t bad, but believe me, he is. I just disrespect Radha for mixing this whole situation up even worse. Suraj is a terrible person, he cheated on Gayatri and doesn’t even have the liberty to apologize. I think that he should have to apologize to every single person that was harmed by Radha’s or his behavior. He is responsible for the depression of Gayatri, Yash, and Aakaush. I think that most people are forgetting Aakaush, though. He is feeling like he was neglected by his family and that no one wants him, but since I know he is going to torture Yash, I am not that concerned about it.
