I’ve had some complications, so I’m on strict bed rest for a month. I’m really hoping everything will be okay. So we’re putting everything in gods hands. The medications they have me on has me asleep most of the time, so my mom spends most of the days with me while Dylan is at work. Going for a doctors appointment in a little while, waiting for Dylan to arrive for us to go.

Kris give you wonderful advice.. Big sister.. Listen to her.
I’ve read this many times and each time it brings a tear to my eye,
so so true
A woman baked chapatti (roti) for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra chapatti on the window sill, for whosoever would take it away. Every day, a hunchback came and took away the chapatti. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: “The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” This went on, day after day. Every day, the hunchback came, picked up the chapatti and uttered the words:
“The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” The woman felt irritated. “Not a word of gratitude,” she said to herself… “Everyday this hunchback utters this jingle! What does he mean?” One day, exasperated, she decided to do away with him. “I shall get rid of this hunchback,” she said. And what did she do? She added poison to the chapatti she prepared for him!
As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled. “What is this I am doing?” she said. Immediately, she threw the chapatti into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window sill. As usual, the hunchback came, picked up the chapatti and muttered the words: “The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!”
The hunchback proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman. Every day, as the woman placed the chapatti on the window sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune. For many months, she had no news of him.. She prayed for his safe return.
That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway. He had grown thin and lean. His garments were tattered and torn. He was hungry, starved and weak. As he saw his mother, he said, “Mom, it’s a miracle I’m here. While I was but a mile away, I was so famished that I collapsed. I would have died, but just then an old hunchback passed by. I begged of him for a morsel of food, and he was kind enough to give me a whole chapatti. As he gave it to me, he said, “This is what I eat everyday: today, I shall give it to you, for your need is greater than mine!”
” As the mother heard those words, her face turned pale. She leaned against the door for support. She remembered the poisoned chapatti that she had made that morning. Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son, and he would have lost his life!
It was then that she realized the significance of the words: “The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” Do good and Don’t ever stop doing good, even if it is not appreciated at that time. If you like this, share it with others and I bet so many lives would be touched.

A man asked his father-in-law, “Many people praised you for a successful marriage. Could you please share with me your secret?”
The father-in-law answered in a smile, “Never criticize your wife for her shortcomings or when she does something wrong. Always bear in mind that because of her shortcomings and weaknesses, she could not find a better husband than you.”
We all look forward to being loved and respected. Many people are afraid of losing face. Generally, when a person makes a mistake, he would look around to find a scapegoat to point the finger at. This is the start of a war. We should always remember that when we point one finger at a person, the other four fingers are pointing at ourselves.
If we forgive the others, others will ignore our mistake too.

CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS?
A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested “I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one.” The SDU officer said, “Your requirements, please.” “Oh, good looking, polite, humorous, sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to accompany me the whole day at home during my leisure hour, if I don’t go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest.” The officer listened carefully and replied, “I understand you need television.”
There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband, because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up a nd discover that marriage is not a bed of roses.
—————————————————————————-
NO OVERPOWERING
Many relationships fail because one party tries to overpower another, or demands too much. People in love tend to think that love will conquer all and their spouses will change the bad habits after marriage. Actually, this is not the case. There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that “It is easier to reshape a mountain or a river than a person’s character.”
It is not easy to change. Thus, having high expectation on changing the spouse character will cause disappointment and unpleasantness.
It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our expectations..
—————————————————————————-
RIGHT SPEECH
There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that “A speech will either prosper or ruin a nation.” Many relationships break off because of wrong speech. When a couple is too close with each other, we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if it would hurt the other party.
A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted, “Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school.” On the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, “Luckily you married me. Otherwise you will be the wife of a construction worker.” She answered,” You should appreciate that you married me. Other wise, he will be the millionaire and not you.”
Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship. It’s like a broken egg – cannot be reversed.

Be Patient
This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy’s hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.
Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy’s hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, “Daddy, I’m sorry about your truck.” Then he asked, “but when are my fingers going to grow back?” The father went home & committed suicide.
Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can’t. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.
People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.
Where has my little sis disappeared. to….

Germany is a highly industrialized country. In such a country, many will think its people lead a luxurious life.
When we arrived at Hamburg , my colleagues walked into the restaurant, we noticed that a lot of tables were empty. There was a table where a young couple was having their meal. There were only two dishes and two cans of beer on the table. I wondered if such simple meal could be romantic, and whether the girl will leave this stingy guy.
There were a few old ladies on another table. When a dish is served, the waiter would distribute the food for them, and they would finish every bit of the food on their plates.
As we were hungry, our local colleague ordered more food for us.When we left, there was still about one third of un-consumed food on the table.
When we were leaving the restaurant, the old ladies spoke to us in English, we understood that they were unhappy about us wasting so much food.
“We paid for our food, it is none of your business how much food we left behind,” my colleague told the old ladies. The old ladies were furious. One of them immediately took her hand phone out and made a call to someone. After a while, a man in uniform from Social Security organisation arrived. Upon knowing what the dispute was, he issued us a 50 Euro fine. We all kept quiet.
The officer told us in a stern voice, “ORDER WHAT YOU CAN CONSUME, MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO THE SOCIETY. THERE ARE MANY OTHERS IN THE WORLD WHO ARE FACING SHORTAGE OF RESOURCES. YOU HAVE NO REASON TO WASTE RESOURCES.”
The mindset of people of this rich country put all of us to shame. WE REALLY NEED TO REFLECT ON THIS. We are from country which is not very rich in resources. To save face, we order large quantity and also waste food when we give others a treat.
(Courtesy: A friend who is now changed a lot)
THE LESSON IS:- THINK SERIOUSLY ABOUT CHANGING OUR BAD HABITS…,
VERY TRUE -“MONEY IS YOURS BUT RESOURCES BELONG TO THE SOCIETY.”
Hi friends, all these recipes! I will have to try one,not sure how it will turn out though.
I’m so happy I think my baby will be a Barcelona fan, yesterday when I was watching Barcelona match she was kicking up a storm. As long as she doesn’t support real Madrid like her dad I’ll be happy.
My boss asked me if I wanted to go to Iraq on company business! Is this man nuts! First of all I’m pregnant! And secondly has this man watched the news! Has he heard of Isis?! Crazy!!!! There is not enough money in the world for me to go to Iraq!
Loving all your recipe. I wish I could have a bite when they are prepared. So different from what we have over here in Nigeria.
Greetings, my amiable ladies. Amaica, Kris, ADM, Silent reader, Trinity(how’s the baby kicking?). So long I read from Suni and Angel. Have they gone visiting the moon? All my lovely sisters, I greet you all.
Thanking God for knowing you via this forum. Thank God always for the gift of live. We are so privileged to be alive today. Thank God we are not mad in the street. Thank God we are not lying helpless in the hospital bed. Thank God for we can eat, see, hear, feel, smell, walk, talk, clap and so on.
Many slept same way we did last night, not all woke up. They never desire to sleep and not wake up but death came visiting them in the night.
Here we are, enjoying the breathe and gift of life, enjoying God’s protection, providence, provision and preservation. Only the living can PRAISE God. With a joyful heart say something beautiful to our ALMIGHTY GOD for it is because of His mercies that we are not consumed. There are new every morning, great is His faithfulness.
Bear this in mind, “ONLY THE THOUGHTFUL ARE THANKFUL.” Jesus loves you all.
Liman … I say -Amen -to that my sister!!!
I truly enjoyed reading your message this morning.
You have made my day..Thank you..
Please continue to Grace us with your wonderful presence.
Suni and Angel are busy preparing for their finals I suppose.
Healthy go-to recipe that you whip up for last-minute guests?
Bruschetta is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. It’s so fast, and people really appreciate when you can give them fresh, wholesome ingredients instead of standard chips and dips. I always have feta and fresh tomatoes on hand, just in case.
Greek Bruschetta
You’ll need:
1 loaf fresh Italian or French baguette bread cut into 1-inch slices
1/4 cup olive oil (for brushing)
4 medium tomatoes, diced
1 tablespoon oregano
Pepper to taste
1 pound feta cheese, crumbled
How to make it:
● Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Place bread slices on a baking sheet and brush each slice with the oil. In a bowl, combine tomatoes, oregano, pepper, and feta.
● Bake bread slices for 8 minutes or until bread is crispy.
● Top each slice of bread with some of the mixture.
Makes 6 to 8 Hors D’oeuvre servings
I sure giving my son this recipe for sure, this is his kinda stuff,
Last night we made a salad, black olives, feta cheese, (goat) tomatoes, cucumber, olive oil and someother scraps my hussy put together, we had it with french baguette, toasted, made sandwiches, was simply delish,
Hit trins, take care of that bundle and enjoy the cravings

1 Cup of Greek Yogurt – we use plain and add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten.
1 Cup of Toppings
Wax Paper
Cookie Sheet
Bar Topping Ideas
Mix-and-Match:
Berries – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, cranberries, etc.
Nuts – pistachios, pecans, almonds, cashews, etc.
Other ideas – cinnamon, shredded coconut, granola, dark chocolate, etc.
How to Make Yogurt Bares….
Spread a thick layer of yogurt on the wax paper. We tried to make the yogurt a little less than half an inch thick but thicker than a quarter of an inch… sprinkle nuts, fruit , extras, etc. Freeze it overnight. In the morning, crack the bar into pieces. Store these in a freezer safe air-tight bag.
Morning Trin…
.Missed you, hope all is well with you and the family.
Morning Kris…
Totally agree with you..Most of the shows has lost it’s
brilliancy and grandeur as it is now..
Kris..People just can’t disappear from the face of the earth.
Heard they held a guy for questioning…
He seem like a prime suspect…
Good always prevail over evil…
A devotee asked God, “Lord, how can I remember You always?”
The Lord replied, “Forget the fear that doubts My presence…”
The devotee asked, “Lord, why do I doubt You?”
The Lord replied, “That is because you have held on to desire and let go of Me.”
The devotee asked again, “My dear God, I feel I love You. I feel I follow You. I feel I’m walking Your way. Then why am I falling?”
The Lord replied, “The thought of faith, the thought of love, the thought of being right has no truth… Faith, love, and righteousness exist when the ego that claims them dies in the act of complete surrender.”
The devotee asked, “But Lord, my mind thinks and I follow the thought and lose You.”
The Lord replied, “You are to boldly face the thought that does not reflect My love. The thought shall vanish the moment love shall rule.”
The devotee asked again, “Lord, I become selfish and I wish to protect myself. How do I give up my selfish pursuits?”
The Lord replied, “Peace is the only protection. The selfish thought strips the mind and soul of peace. Peace is equal love for all. That is what you must pursue.”
The devotee asked his precious Lord, “My God, why is it that I give up peace so easily?”
The Lord replied, “You desire to be higher than the rest. You wish to be greater than the rest. You work to be richer than the rest. You do to be better than the rest. In doing that, you lose the strength to love. You begin to love yourself lesser. When the soul becomes lesser than the thought, peace vanishes. You are to know that all are My children. That is the essence of peace”
“Lord, bless me that I am always at peace.”
The Lord smiled and said, “You are to ask Me nothing, not even for peace. You are to wait. You are to be silent. You are to be humble for all the gifts I give. You are to share. You are to be happy. You are to be stronger than any thought. You are to forgive. You are to be kind. You are to serve all with My hand. You are to be ready for My will. That is the blessing of peace…”
so nice, enjoyed reading,
No word yet, I hope that body is not of his. his poor mom, so sorry for her.
Well, nothing good on zee or on colors, however I am enjoying Ashok Samrat, I thought I knew the story well and will not be interested to look at it, but I am so sorry I did not look from the beginning, it’s so interesting and the young boy acting the role of Ashok is so loveable, talented, absolutely the best. the Chanakya man is really awesome, love that s how. I have stopped looking a JA, but recently saw pcs of it,
I have completely stopped looking at QH not even reading updates anymore, some of the shows only confusion nd backbiting and total waste of time drama if you ask me, nothing quite interesting, the Swaragini in colors not bad yet, but the new one Service wali bahu, I have already stopped looking at it, I cyah take no more comess and confusion nah, Dont talk about Hello Pratiba, how dumb can she be to see her witch of a mil and sil right under her nose. her husband is a dumb bloke to blame her for everything that goes wrong and will not reprimand his nasty ass mother and sis in law, he would listen to his mother tell his wife and call her names of all sorts and h e would just blame his wife and tell her not to cause confusion in the house. gosh it frustrating.
I really like Krats, and her costar but that show is plain degrading
Oh My God… She’s a baby for God’s sake…
Notice the child is hugging the Mom..but the
Mom is not hugging the child..It’s not right
to be overly sttrick with children…poor girl..
They should lock the men up.. Stupid excuses..
It seems that poor people children are the ones often
taken advantage of… Is poverty a sin??
I often ask this question…..They should check
the relative’s daughter… The father probably
did the do there too…. Animals…
Any news on the trinzeula boy…. A body was found today

Gotta run (well waddle)gotta a meeting this morning.
Greetings, ladies. I guess you all are fine.
Funny network, my messages return to me the same way I send them. The network here had really treated me bad. I miss you all.
Wishing you a fabulous weekend.
There once lived a very wise man in a small village. He was the head of the local administration and respected by all for his views and opinions on a varied subjects.
People came to him in times of need or just to seek some good advise on the different aspects of life. But ironically his only son was a lazy lad, who whisked away his time eating, sleeping or enjoying with his friends outside.
No amount of advise or even threat made any difference to his attitude. As the years passed and the wise man grew old he got more and more worried about his sons future and realized he needed to give something to his son to take care of himself and the family, so one day he called his only son and said” My son, you are grown up now, you need to understand life and your responsibilities by yourself now.”
Amazed by his fathers sudden anxiety his son said, “Father, you have always been by my side to guide me always, how will i ever manage without you…I will be so lost without you…..” His father drew him close , hugged him and said, ” I want you to find the real purpose of your life and when you find it remember it always and you will lead a life full of happiness and joy.”
The son was greatly amused, what could be this important lesson that could cure all his problems in future, he wondered!
The next day, his father gave him a bag. The son was greatly surprised as he opened the bag, as it had 4 pair of clothes one for each season, some raw food, grains, lentils, some money and a map. As he wondered what he was supposed to do with the stock, his father declared….”I want you to go find a treasure”. I have drawn a map of the place where the treasure is hidden, You need to go and find it.”
Aha, so this is what father was referring to earlier, the real purpose of my life is to find this treasure that will solve all my problems in future, the son thought to himself, greatly pleased at the idea. The next day, he set out early on his journey eager to find the mystical treasure. The place described in the map was far far away and he had to cross many rivers, forests, plateaus , and mountains to reach his destination. He prayed he would meet his father , when he returned to show him his findings.
He set out on his travel, days , weeks and months passed, as he travelled, he met a lot of people on the way, some helped him with food, some gave him shelter, he also met thief’s and robbers who tried to cheat him and rob him of his belongings. As he moved through landscapes, Slowly the season changed…fall gave way to winter and spring led to summer.
When the weather got harsh, he would pause his journey for some time and again set out moving towards his destination continuously . He wanted to find the treasure before anyone else did .
Finally after a long year , he reached the cliff below which his father has told him he would find his life’s treasure. He spotted the tree, his father had described in the map and started looking around it, he searched and searched , but found nothing. He spent two days looking and digging for the treasure around that tree, exhausted he decided to go back on the third day.
Tired and devastated by his father’s lie, he headed back home. On his way back, he experienced the same changing landscapes and seasons. But this time he stopped to wonder the blooming of flowers when the spring came, the birds dancing in the falling rain. He witnessed glorious sunsets and reveled in peaceful summer evenings.
He learned to hunt for his own food, sew his own clothes and protect himself from the harsh weather. He learned to calculate the time of the day with the suns position and plan his journey accordingly. He also learned how to protect himself from wild animals and harmful plants and sherbs.
He met the same people who had helped him on his way, this time he stopped and spend some days with them to help them with their chores to show his gratitude. He realized how wonderful they were in their sense of trying to help the passers by on that route without any expectations in return.
When he reached home, he realized he had been out of his house for 2 years now. He went straight to his fathers room and was relieved to see him resting. He walked up to him and slowly whispered to him, “father”, careful not to disturb him in his sleep. The wise man opened his eyes, he got up as he saw his son and embraced him.
“So how was your journey my son”,did you find the treasure” he asked. “The journey was fascinating father,” the son quipped “but forgive me father, as i have disappointed you, I could not find any treasure, at the place described in the map. Maybe somebody took it before i reached.” He was surprised at his own answer that instead of getting angry he was asking for his fathers forgiveness. His father smiled and signaled him to sit down on a chair next to him.
“That is because there was no treasure at that place my son” he answered smiling. “But why did you send me to find it then”, he asked. “I will surely tell you why but first you tell me, how was your journey when you were going to find the treasure. Did you enjoyed the varying landscapes, experienced living in the out on your own amidst new people and changing seasons , did you made good friends on the way?”
Of course not father, i did not got distracted for a second, I had no time to do all that since I was always focused on reaching my destination as soon as possible before anybody else and find the treasure, I had no time to experience the landscape, the weather or to make any friends. But yes i did all this on my way back. I must admit i really enjoyed my journey back , I learned many new skills and mastered the art of survival, so much so, that i forgot the pain of not finding the treasure.”
His father held his hand and said “Exactly my son ,You wanted to know how to lead life and find your goals…but if you lead your life going after a goal on this journey called life , you miss out the real treasures on the way because you are so focused on finding the goal. When the truth is that life has no goal at all, other than to just live it and grow with it each day.”
Moral:It is when we set out in life without trying to associate any meaning or greater purpose to it that we find the treasure of true joy in each moment.
“To be what you were born to be and to explore your full potential each day is life’s only goal”.
Good one Swati, but I have a question here: Are you trying to say that one should not have any goals or should not try to find one? Don’t you think life would be aimless in that case?

Hi Sangram,
Thanks for your interest and your insightful question. You are right, life would be quite aimless without a goal. The idea that the story wants to convey is not to stop having goals in life but to have just one main goal instead of 10 smaller ones.
For eg., if you are a software programmer and you fix your goal to become the next senior project manager, you wouldnt know how to achieve it. Instead if you just focus on developing good software and efficient programs, thereby maximizing your potential, the other smaller goals would just follow you. In simple words, we need to focus on the task at hand and doing it the best way we can, other goals like success, wealth and happiness just follow after that.
Hopefully i have answered your question and hope you find a reason to drop by often!
Cheers,
Swati

Lovely story. So we must remember to enjoy the scenery on the way while we focus on our goals in life, right?

HI Vishal,
Ummmm….not exactly:) What the story tries to convey is that we should not give too much importance to associating our life to a specific goal but focus more on living fully every day and realizing our full potential with which we have come on this earth because if you do that, all your other goals will fall in place on their own.
Thanks for reading and liking:)
Kris… Just read Newsday on line and saw a photograph
of the school teacher… leaving the school ‘s compound.
He surely has a sick mind…and want some good man hand..
Hats off to the Board and the PTA members…
Yes girl, but he asked for a transfer, what if the other school has the same problem with him?? well according to subhas they will cross that bridge when that time comes, but that man need to be psychologically examined first before he can be placed in another institution.
WE are at ease now knowing our children won’t be subjected to the likes of him. We parents got our little stint of TV too yes, saw myself a little bit too, lol, well alls well that ends well.
I listened to part of the news tonight
Heard SP .. Saw some parents and was
wondering where is Kris..made my guess..
Well we should see the pictures in the news papers.
Pls hint me!!!
I’m looking at Koffee with Karan… In conversation with
Hema Melanie and Zenith Arman…
Was at the school all day today waiting on court ruling, the teacher was barred from entering the school tomorrow, but not sure what will happen further,
Just imagine, is our children involved and TTUTA have the gall to tell us parents, the PTA to stay out of it, really???? what hte hell, non of them have children in te school, I am ashamed of repeating the things he told to the poor innocent girl children, just imagine how the President of the PTA felt repeating it to a few hundred parents of all ages, it shameful indeed.
About the mohammed boy, really sad indeed, the family is in a terrible state, the bro is usually around the neighbourhood chatting etc, he refuses to come out now.
I hope they find him soon, hope not a dead body.
Kris…Heard that he got a restraining order to stay away from
the school compound..this poor innocent eleven years old child.
Luckily she was smart enough to tell someone…
TTUTA fail to realize the purpose and power of the PTA.
Boy!!! You canno’t leave your children unsupervised…
Kris… I’m not seeing you around, hope everything okay.
What’s the latest on the Mohammed boy…
I have been very busy over the weekend.. Birthdays etc.
and lost touch with what’s happening in that case.
i here girl, just checked in, been busy all weekend, fire in the property in rousillac, water line burnt and big leak for almost the two weeks we did not go, big flood in the drains and land, got it fixed finally. waiting for the gates and fences to be fixed and a barrier across the road we built, people going up on the land and burning fires and throwing garbage etc. stress yes.
we have an issue in the litle one school, look at the news, teachr problem, so had to run and pick her up early from school today.
It was said he confessed to being in love with an 11 old girl in the school and made some other derogatory remarks about certain things to some children. not sure, so we have an issue to deal with protest in themorning meeting in the afternoon.
missing everyone here,
Kris… So much has happened on your side..
I can’t understand how the Ministry and TSC
could reassign someone like him in the same
school.. He should be placed elsewhere away
from children…not in the teaching service..
Parents got every right to protest..Children First.
The property issues… Sound like real stress..
Girl you do whatever is necessary..
Find someone from around to look out for you..
Don’t worry everything will be sorted out in due
course.I’ll follow up the school issues.
Kris I just called one of Mohammed friends..
She said no clues to date .. A man and his
vehicle just vanished into thin air!!
His friends are really really distraught.
God I pray and hope that he’s alive..
and will soon be returned home to his loved ones.
Good must always prevail over evil..
Southern Division police have detained a woman from South Trinidad in connection with the disappearance businessman Kirby Mohammed.
Police believe that they will be able to make a breakthrough and find Mohammed soon.
Mohammed, 42, who is a director of Trinzuela Technical and Vocational College, was last seen around 3.30 pm last Saturday.
His mother Linda Mohammed, says she is not giving up hope that he will be found alive.
Anyone with information is asked to contact their nearest police station.
My neighbour, so sad, such a nice boy too, never troubled anyone always kept to his business at hand, never limed in the rotten neighbourhood, I hope he is ok.
Amaica, she will not be staying in campus, just about five min walk from UWI apartments some single rooms some sharing 1200 a month, not much, but its a house and very safe, highly recommended by a police friend of ours, the landlady is a teacher and her bro is a lecturer at UWI, you must be knowing bishnu something ragoonath or something, political science, the place is quite nice the landlady motherly and cring, feeling good about the place.
That sounds really safe and convenient for her …. It’s good to be pro active.
I know you’ll be up there two three times a week until she’s settled..
I’m really happy for her. The time spent away from home is necessary for
her personal development..
I just hope that the boy returns home safely…The Mohammed’s are very
decent people. I don’t know them personally but because of the profession.
Workers from KR’s office are his friends and they are helping in the search.
They said they are not giving up.. They’ve visited some of his friends…but
No one saw him.Well let’s hope the police really has a clue…
I really don’t like what is happening in this place!! Kris you never know who
is watching you .., so please be careful wherever you are…

Holi is the spring festival of India and is also known as the Festival of Colours. It is celebrated at the end of the winter season, on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Phalgun (February -March).
There is a very famous story is related to this festival. The demon king Hiranyakashipu performed penance for a long time and got a boon from Lord Brahma that he should not be killed under any of the following condition: in the day or night, inside the house of outside the house, by a man or an animal, in the sky or on earth. After getting the boon, the demon started opposing God and put ban on devotion towards God.
His son Prahlad was a strong devotee of Lord Vishnu. In the face of severe opposition from his father, Prahalad was always absorbed in devotion to Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakashipu was not happy with his behaviour. When Hiranyakashipu’s repeated attempts to wean Prahlad away from devotion to Vishnu failed, Hiranyakashipu adopted different means to kill Prahlad. He was given poison, but it turned into nectar instead of killing him. Prahlad was left in a closed room with many poisonous snakes, but they did not harm him. Huge elephants were set loose in an attempt to trample Prahlad, but they too could not kill him.
Finally, Hiranyakashipu’s sister Holika’s help was taken. Holika had a boon, whereby she could not be burnt by fire. She took Prahlad in her lap and sat in a blazing fire. Prahlad kept chanting the name of Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakashipu was eagerly waiting to see the dead body of Prahlad. But with the grace of God, Prahlad did not feel the heat a bit. He remained unharmed, while evil minded Holika got burnt.
Thus, Holi derives its name from Holika, and celebrates the protection that God granted to His pure devotee!!
UWI…I like T Hall , it’s on the compound and very convenient
to everything around.. Got security etc…just I don’t like the
sharing of rooms…The traveling can become a hassle..
Forgot the Aunty is VP at Naps..that book is truly a savior..
I gave out many as gifts..local and foreign, it’s simple to follow.
There’s an updated version on the market.
Will read the Holika message later…trying not to have to cook.
Feeling for some unhealthy food …like Debe Indian Frys.

Hey all, have a great weak,
Ram and his army of monkeys were
preparing for war with Ravan. Ram asked his army to build the bridge
over the sea. Work began at once on a
stone bridge. The monkeys pulled out rocks and heavy stones from the mountains, and carried them to the sea.
They cut them into shape and began to
build the bridge. All this was very
difficult work and it took a long time.
Thousands of monkeys worked night and day.
Ram felt happy.
“How hard they work!
Their love for me makes them work like
this,” thought Ram.
One day, Ram saw a small brown
squirrel. He was going up and down the
seashore with little pebbles in his mouth. The little squirrel could carry only little pebbles at a time in his small mouth. He carried the pebbles from the seashore and dropped them into the sea. A great monkey was carrying a large heavy stone on his back and the squirrel came in his way. The monkey jumped back. “Here, you little thing,” shouted the monkey in a voice like
thunder, “you’re in my way, I stepped back and you’re alive now. But I nearly fell. And what are you doing here?”
The little squirrel looked up at the great
monkey. “I’m sorry
you nearly fell,
Brother Monkey,” he said in his small voice, “ but please
always look where you are going.
I’m helping Ram build the bridge.
And I want to work hard for him.”
“You, what?” shouted the monkey and
laughed aloud. “Did you hear that!” he said to the other monkeys. “The squirrel is building a bridge with his pebbles. Oh
dear! Oh dear! I’ve never heard a funnier
story.” The other monkeys laughed too.
The squirrel did not think this funny at all.
He said, “Look,
I can’t carry mountains or rocks.
God gave me only a little strength.
I can only carry pebbles.
My heart cries out for Ram and
I’ll do all I can for him.”
The monkeys said, “Don’t be foolish.
Do you think you can help Ram?
Do you think we can build a bridge with pebbles? He has a big army to help him. Go home and don’t get in our way.”
“But I want to help, too,” said the squirrel and would not go.
He carried the pebbles again from the
shore to the sea. The monkeys were angry and one of them picked up the squirrel by his tail and threw him far away. The squirrel,
crying out the name of Ram,
fell into his hands.
Then Ram held the squirrel close to him.
He said to the monkeys, “Do not make fun of the weak and the small.
Your strength or what you do is not important.
What matter is your love. This little squirrel has
love in his heart.”
“O Vanars, you are brave and strong, and are doing a wonderful job bringing all these huge boulders and stones from far and dropping them in the ocean. But did you notice that it is the tiny pebbles and stones brought by this small squirrel and some of the other smaller creatures which are filling the small gaps left between the huge stones? Further, do you not realize that the tiny grains of sand brought by this squirrel are the ones which bind the whole structure and make it strong? Yet you scold this small creature and fling him away in anger!” Hearing this, the Vanars were ashamed, and bowed down their heads.
Ram continued,
“Always remember, however small service (sewa) it may be, every sewa is equally important.
A mission can never be completed by the main people alone. They need the support of all, and however small,
an effort is count and should always be respected!”
Ram then turned to the squirrel and said softly, “My dear squirrel, I am sorry for the hurt caused to you by my army,
and thank you for the service you have rendered to me.
Please go and continue your work
happily.”
Saying this, he gently stroked the
back of the squirrel with his fingers, and three lines appeared where the Lord’s fingers had touched it.Ram held the squirrel closer to him and said.
“Little one,
your love touches my heart.”
He said these words and passed his fingers gently over the little squirrel’s back. And when he put him down there were three white stripes on his back. These were the marks of Lord Ram fingers.
No mission and service to Shri Ram, however small, is unimportant!
Every opportunity should be looked upon as service to the Lord, and his
blessings will always be with us.
We should never forget that
love and dedication is what matters to Lord Ram
and not big services and shows we make for show off.
Krishna just say that whatever we do big or small we offer to HIm.
In Bhagavad-gita
9.27 Krishna says:
yat karoshi yad asnasi
yaj juhoshi dadasi yat
yat tapasyasi kaunteya
tat kurushva mad-arpanam
Whatever you do, whatever you eat,
whatever you offer or give away, and
whatever austerities you perform — do
that, O son of Kunti, as an offering to Me.

Falafel chickpeas balls… I tried it …it’s Awesome!
For this recipe, you’ll need dried chickpeas. This is very importnat, so make sure you don’t buy canned, cooked ones. You will also need a food processor.
Serves 4 – Total time overnight + 2h + 30 min
1/2 lb (250g) dried chickpeas
2 green onions, cut into pieces
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp mint leaves
2 tbsp cilantro
2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sea salt
olive oil for frying
Cover the chickpeas with cold water and leave them to soak overnight (12 hours). Drain and discard the soaking water.
Place in the food processor, together with the other ingredients.
Process until you get a smooth, rather fine mixture. This can take one minute or longer according to the food processor you’re using. You may also have to add a little water to get a smooth texture.
Refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours, uncovered.
Then, make chickpea balls with your hands. They should be rather small.
Fry the falafel in olive oil; I like to use a deep-fryer because less oil is absorbed than in a frying pan. With a deep-fryer, about 2 minutes will be enough.
To make the Greek yogurt dip, check out this recipe.
Serve the falafel warm with the yogurt dip and a simple tomato salad.

April 01, 21:03Kris.., just looked at QH .. Tanveer remind. me of the
woman in your story., this woman is Super Evil..
And Sanam … Someone is always following her…
Kris
March 30, 21:04I’ve read this many times and each time it brings a tear to my eye,

March 31, 00:40Thanks Kris..

March 23, 19:15NO POINTING FINGERS

March 19, 22:00Very True Story.

March 19, 04:21Loving all your recipe.

March 18, 16:52Greek Bruschetta .,,,
Healthy go-to recipe that you whip up for last-minute guests?

March 16, 22:23A Blessing of Peace
A message given on an auspicious occasion …

March 17, 16:09so nice, enjoyed reading,
No word yet, I hope that body is not of his. his poor mom, so sorry for her.

March 11, 23:45The purpose of Life – a short story!
Much Love,
Swati Chauhan

March 12, 00:02Some comments and answers…
Good one Swati, but I have a question here: Are you trying to say that one should not have any goals or should not try to find one? Don’t you think life would be aimless in that case?
Reply
swatic12 says:
August 8, 2013
Hi Sangram,
Thanks for your interest and your insightful question.

Written by a 90 year old
This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!! Make sure you read to the end!!!!!!
Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio .
“To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 42 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I’ve ever written.
My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:
1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short – enjoy it..
4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. Save for retirement starting with your first pay check.
9. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
10. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
11. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
12. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
13. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it…
14 Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
15. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.
16. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
17. It’s never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else.

March 06, 12:42Holi is the spring festival of India and is also known as the Festival of Colours.

March 02, 13:41Ram and his army of monkeys were
preparing for war with Ravan.

February 28, 23:11Falafel chickpeas balls… I tried it …it’s Awesome!
