hmm, its sometime around before or after divali,

Amaica, yes dear was a gread success,

lots of things to do in the house, like you I ain’t bothering anymore too, too tired, I had the children doing when they home but they in school and have lessons and tons of HW. Took one lessons today, but the teacher had to go sing at some event so lessons canceled. Not sure if you know Anand Basdeo, he has a CD out, nice songs my kind of music, i know Suni enjoys some oldies like this too.

well off to tidy the kitchen, take bath and stay up, my knees still hurting like hell.

Hello Ladies, hope you all had a good day so far.

Trins, so when are you expecting the baby (I have to think of a name here….GUYS….any suggestions).

Amaica, house work never finishes so don’t sweat toooo much. Yes, GC has a 3-film contract but he is presently filming his first movie for release in May 2015. He’s lucky in that during filming the producers have given him permission to do other things so he will be in South Africa again – Durban City to perform with some other tv actors from zeetv like the main leads from Aur Pair ????? and Doli Armaan????? and about two other guys. The show is carded for November 07th and 08th (I think) and is called “Desi Boys”.
KS is performing in some tv show; she is dancing and she looks lovely.

Kris, the weather is so unpredictable these days. I guess we all have to go with the flow., but yes, it is very hot at times and then very cold.

Dylan is doing much better but we will have to be careful in the future, hopefully the new meds will work on keeping his blood from clotting.

Kris girl i does try but, it cost to much. Dylan can cook so he does it most of the time. My morning sickness has eased, and I’ve to thank angostura bitters. Today i recognize the change in my body and it was a wonderful feeling. Dylan wants to name the child boy or girl after christano Ronaldo, and i told him I’ll divorce him in a heart beat! Dude gotta nuts!

Amaica if turn into a great cook! Then hell has frozen over and the devil loves to finger skate! Lol

Take care dear, supposed to go out but finally got my painting and 90% cleaning done, so so so tired by feeling accomplished and good,

      It’s really a success..Hundreds of people tonight.
I must say CS made an excellent decision to introduce

      First attempt … Excellent !!!
The children from the nearby schools and temples participated…

CS son is s/ ill so too his mom..I felt very sorry for him…
      he’s going through a lot… How is SP doing…
.My friend from Palmiste Mom died today.. Funeral on Monday.

Trin …You’ll be an excellent cook some day..

Lenor, thanks soo much for the advice dear, I taking it easy, it had to be done, I just moved around the furniture to do regular moping and thought what the heck, children and husband home to help, bring me the ladder and the paint and get cracking, it was done in a jiffy and no hassle, rearranged the tv room, looking good. At least I enjoyed the lightening and thunder as appose to thos fire bombs the neighbours keep bursting.

now today to do the dining room and kitchen, I have the children doing the windows and taking down the curtains, not a big house so not much to do, just junk all around to tidy up, now that is the tiring part 😀

Amaica, the box was not too huge, not heavy, gave it to my young strong daughter to take it outside, will destribute it today at our divali celebrations, wish I could share the pics with you, oh well

MU my dear so glad to hear you are better, try your best not to get that ear wet since it seems you are prone to ear infection, this the second time since i know you you’ve gotten it. Take care of yourself

OH SJ welcome home dear lol, yes we all miss Suni so much, but her education comes first, Amaica is the cook here, she cooks up a storm when ready, I bought pani puri ready made at the indian store, want to try it today.
I love indian cooking, all veg of course.

Amaica, I am so glad that there is something in south, lots of people don’t go to Nagar because of the traffic, lack of parking, car thieves etc, I am glad it is a success, hope he has it every year, and not turn commercial like the nagar, at least we would have something good for a change. Oh my sorry about the son, I know about the mother, his neice daughter is in my little one’s class so we keep in touch, his mother still looks good though, hope she gets better. saw karmesh at our celeb in NAPA on tuesday gone, he has gotten so skinny,
SP is coming along, his daughter is taking excellent care of him, God bless her tiny self, she also has a daughter just over a year, she has wonderful and supportive in laws, her MIL is just amazing and wonderful woman.
well, back to some work and I am off to divali satsangh later with Didiji.

hello ladies have a lovely weekend

In Jamaica its Heroes weekend as we celebrate our heritage and the heroes who contributed to the advancement of our country and race

like Marcus Garvey is our first national Hero along with Alexander Bustamnte and Norman Washington Manley and lots more

We are giving thanks to these people who gave us emanciaption and independence

from as far back as slavery like Nanny of the Maroons and Sam Sharpe who helped us get closer to freedom along with Paul Bogle and William Gordon who fought for the better wages and treatment of the newly freed persons such as the year of 1865.

We ahve ceremonies of persons who we consider as heroes due to the contribution to their communities the saving of someone’s life and the development of our people and nation 🙂

    Dearest PV Family,

How are you all;hope everyone is well (health wise) with all these “viruses” going around one must be very very careful.

First, I do apologise for my lonnngggg absence from the forum and especially to you my PV Family – Amaica, Kris, Trins, Suni, MU, SJ and others. I have not read all your comments but did so randomly;Kris “thank you” and sorry for my absence; Amaica, always so sweet – “thank you” for remembering my birthday and sorry for my absence.
Trins, so sorry to read your comments on Dylan and you looking after him and taking time from your job, but you have to do what you have to do and at least your company is allowing you to do this – not many companies will be so understanding.
Suni and MU, what’s up with you guys?
MU, chickugunia (the bend of bones)is a terrible virus, check it out on the internet. I sincerely hope you fully recover.

My absence came about due to many circumstances; my company is being taken over by another company and I am trying to put my “house” in order and at the same time trying to deal with present day work load. I am sure that when the new personnel arrives (sometime later in the year or early next year) I may be one of those who will be terminated/leaving.
Added to this I have to look after my aunt from time to time; I go to the grocery and market, cook for her and try to finish at a certain time, pay her bills, get medication and other things. She had surgery recently and cannot move around. She has a daughter who resides away so I have to do the “honours”.
Other things have happened but another time for this.

As you know I was experiencing internet problems that started my absence from the forum; terminated the internet provider and have to register with a new provider,I am presently using a laptop.

Traffic is really awful – morning and evening; it is vexing me sooo and from now until Christmas and into Carnival would be worst.

I am finding it difficult to get some downtime to be with you all, but I will try.

So Divali is next week; guess some of you are very busy with fasting, cleaning , cooking and attending to other things.

Kris, yes, GC is dancing in Jamai Raja, saw the preview, he’s
    looking good.
Kratika was married, GC and wife, Pratik, Vidhi, Gayatri, Shobha attended They all looked nice together.

It seems that I cannot stop, so guys, SORRY for the absence.
Take care, much love to you.

Oh lenor, no apologies dear, I know you will check us when you get the time,
So sorry to hear about your job, I hope you get to stay. The traffic is just horrible, my husband works at Grande and leaves home 430 every morning and is back after 5 6 and sometimes 7.
So sorry about your aunty, hope she recovers fast, you are doing a good deed dear, not many people are that fortunate to have someone to do for them or get the opportunity to serve others, you are frotunate to have her and vise versa.
It felt so good to hear from you.
I saw the pics of kratika functions, very nice indeed.

Amaica dear, how I wish I could get some Cepep workers in my house too, lol, I havent even started half of what supposed to be accomplished by now.sigh…….

Thank you for taking the time to share. One of my friends found herself in a similar
situation when she first started to work … Young and innocent.. The culprit was her boss.
A young girl was raped by her transport lady son. When he decided to take her to school
since his mom was sick.. The parents were not aware of the change in arrangements.

Anyway let’s make pone… A local receipe I found on line..

Tomorrow is SSL divali celebrations at their car park. Want to go, not sure what’s gonna happen, but we have ours on Sunday at the Waterloo community centre, also it is Todd street Temple as well, so many things for divali, haven’t been to the nagar in years, too many people, traffic and jamming, can’t handle,
To get to Fyzabad in the afternoon from Sando especially on a weekday is murder for me.
So enjoy if you go let me know how it is.
Time for the husband to be home with the big one from lessons, going to make a roti for him. I buy the atta from India Town, they are opp. MS food City, it’s stone ground 9 grains, roti comes out excellent and tastes great.

    Anger vs love

While a man was polishing his new car, his 6 yr old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child’s hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw hisfather…..with painful eyes here asked, ‘Dad when will my fingers grow back?’ The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times. Devastated by his own actions…….sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written ‘LOVE YOU DAD’.The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life….. Things are to be used and people are to be loved. But the problem in today’s world is that, People are used and things are loved…. let’s be careful to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used, but People are to be loved.

    • kris
      October 16, 07:45

Oh this is so sweet and touching story,
We parents at some point in time have been guilty of similar behaviour towards our children unknowingly,
reading things like these opens our minds to listen first to them then make the decision to punish or not.

    Hi Kris like ur post.

Thank you for ur kinds words,Dylan was discharge yesterday but he’s still very weak. The docs gave him a lot of meds and I’ll have to be off work to be with him until he’s recovered.

I must admit I’m extremely tired, and the morning sickness has been on full blast these last couple of days.

Going through some trying times, but it will pass. As the say god never gives you more than you can bare.

    Be blessed always.

Oh yes, one of my sister’s told me yesterday, but was so busy running around I forgot, and one told me this morning and then my friend who was close to him messaged me today and told me, she wanted me to accompany her to the funeral at belgrove 4 pm today, but have to see about children. I will miss him, used to go for my lower waist every now and then, even though he showed my husband how to do it to release the pressure, I still had to go back to him. He was a really nice man.

There are many old wives remedies for morning sickness, but trust me, none worked for my first pregnancy, they tell me to use ginger, I would vomit at the slightest scent of it.make sure and take your folic acid and other vitamins,
And remember what i told you, lots of milk if you could drink it.

    Good Morning,
    I love this story;
There was a person coming to a new village, relocating, and he was wondering if he would like it there, so he went to the zen master and asked: do you think I will like it in this village? Are the people nice?
The master asked back: How were the people on the town where you come from? “They were nasty and greedy, they were angry and lived for cheating and stealing,” said the newcomer.
Those are exactly the type of people we have in this village, said the master.
Another newcomer to the village visited the master and asked the same question, to which the master asked: How were the people in the town where you come from? “They were sweet and lived in harmony, they cared for one another and for the land, they respected each other and they were seekers of spirit,” he replied.
Those are exactly the type of people we have in this village, said the master.
You can run from places, events or people, but you can’t run from who you are.
    Have an awesome day ahead

Upon meeting a Zen master at a social event, a psychiatrist decided to ask him a question that had been on his mind. “Exactly how do you help people?” he asked.
“I get them where they can’t ask any more questions,” the Master answered.

Roasted cauliflower? A whole head of cauliflower? This recipe has you slathering cauliflower in a spicy yogurt marinade and roasting it at a high temperature. The result is an amazingly delicious dish that’s as dramatic in presentation as it is easy in preparation. Serve it with a big green salad (we suggest lime juice and olive oil for the dressing) for an easy weeknight supper.

      Spicy Whole Roasted Cauliflower

      Ingredients

      1 tablespoon vegetable oil
      1 head cauliflower
      1½ cups plain Greek yogurt
      1 lime, zested and juiced
      2 tablespoons chile powder
      1 tablespoon cumin
      1 tablespoon garlic powder
      1 teaspoon curry powder
      2 teaspoons kosher salt
      1 teaspoon black pepper

      Directions

      1. Preheat the oven to 400° and lightly grease a small baking sheet with vegetable oil. Set aside.

      2. Trim the base of the cauliflower to remove any green leaves and the woody stem.

      3. In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt with the lime zest and juice, chile powder, cumin, garlic powder, curry powder, salt and pepper.

      4. Dunk the cauliflower into the bowl and use a brush or your hands to smear the marinade evenly over its surface. (Excess marinade can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to three days and used with meat, fish or other veggies.)

      5. Place the cauliflower on the prepared baking sheet and roast until the surface is dry and lightly browned, 30 to 40 minutes. The marinade will make a crust on the surface of the cauliflower.

      6. Let the cauliflower cool for 10 minutes before cutting it into wedges and serving alongside a big green salad.

Hi Amaica, sorry yaar, I only just got in, was running around dropping children too and from lessons and in and out of the Divali celebs at NAPA south, COP and San Fernando women in action hosted it. It was really great, then my bedroom door got stuck, really don’t know how the front porch door was open so my son went inside the room, told him to use the fork to press the lock from inside, instead he took off the hinges, lord worries to fix it back, the lock in the door spoil and it not moving, so can’t close the door fully, I don’t mind but the hussy keep nagging about putting something to jam it close, I have a headache now 😛
Anyway, we may have about 20 to 25 kids, whatever you can spare will be much appreciated.
We drew another raffle recently, the first place winner is an 18 yr old boy birthday next week, won a mini I pad, he so excited, Boodoo’s won another and Boysie so generous said to give it to a needy person, so we will give it to one of the less fortunate kids who attends satsangh regular and helps out selflessly.
    got another full day tomorrow.
    night

One day a fisherman was lying on a beautiful beach with his fishing pole propped up in the sand and his solitary line cast out into the sparkling blue surf. About that time, a businessman came walking down the beach, trying to relieve some of the stress of his workday. He noticed the fisherman sitting on the beach and decided to find out why this fisherman was fishing instead of working harder to make a living for himself and his family. “You aren’t going to catch many fish that way,” said the businessman to the fisherman, “you should be working rather than lying on the beach!” The fisherman looked up at the businessman, smiled and replied, “And what will my reward be?” “Well, you can get bigger nets and catch more fish!” was the businessman’s answer. “And then what will my reward be?” asked the fisherman, still smiling. The businessman replied, “You will make money and you’ll be able to buy a boat, which will then result in larger catches of fish!” “And then what will my reward be?” asked the fisherman again. The businessman was beginning to get a little irritated with the fisherman’s questions. “You can buy a bigger boat, and hire some people to work for you!” he said. “And then what will my reward be?” repeated the fisherman. The businessman was getting angry. “Don’t you understand? You can build up a fleet of fishing boats, sail all over the world, and let all your employees catch fish for you!” Once again the fisherman asked, “And then what will my reward be?” The businessman was red with rage and shouted at the fisherman, “Don’t you understand that you can become so rich that you will never have to work for your living again! You can spend all the rest of your days sitting on this beach, looking at the sunset. You won’t have a care in the world!” The fisherman, still smiling, looked up and said, “And what do you think I’m doing right now?”

Oooooh, so sorry dear, take care, drink lots of fluids, more ear infection ? Take care of it please.
They say drink the juice of paw paw leaves, ten tea spoon I think twice a day, it kills the parasites that causes sickness and allows for a faster recovery.
Crush about four leaves, squeeze the juices out, mis with honey, because the juice is very bitter. Hope you check this message
