You are most welcome angel, I know what you mean by the parents, that is so much stress on the kids, maybe your friend failing was for some Eason, to crush the pride of her parents, let her know that even though the parents may be harsh on her, they would I know tell her all sorts of horrible things, but let her know you are there for her and others as well, at it is her life she has to live, not her parents. Eventually the parents pride would simmer and they would stop being rough on her. Maybe if the see her working hard and diligent next time around.

My daughter did not do well in her exams, but she got another year to make up, I hope, but I will encourage her to keep on trying until she succeed, how your friend parents are understanding and encouraging.

Amaica dear, that’s her Econ teacher, and it is not convenient to take her to her classes, so she goes to Mr. Ramsingh, who is excellent, but the last term she did not go to his lessons, the IAs is where she fall short, because of the last minute change, and she always making excuse about the teacher and her favorits etc, that teacher, she says has her favorites and who goest to her for lessons she helped them with theirs etching., don’t know.
But one thing, about the principal, since form one, my daughter has always have a problem and had to see the school psychiatrist. The principal made all kinds of promises and she never did anything about it. She is no going in upper six, barley scraped through. My experiences with this principal have not been good or positive.
But not making excuses, she has to do better, she is too careless. She will start back with Mr. Ramsingh and will make shire she don’t slack off going to his classes, she has to put aside differences in school and concentrate on what is important. She is easily influenced but others.
Good morning all. Well went to the hospital again today to collect meds, well what a crappy system, first time I went, I had to take a number, they’d call and take your prescription, then call you back for the meds all the while you sit in between. Well this morning, there was a terribly long line to show your prescription, then you get a number, then you sit and wait till your number to call, then you sit again and wait for your name to be called, now there are old sick people, people with little kids, sleeping kids, and they all have to stand and wait in this long line with only one window open, later on i saw they opened another window. What crap to stand in a long line just to collect a number.
I was better before where you take a number sit and wait your turn, if you missed your number by more than 5 you have to take a new one, jeez, waited so long standing, so sorry for this girl with her baby, a chubby one at that sleeping and she had to stand in line, thank goodness there are some good people who let her sit and when it was her turn they called her, some people grumbling oh she not in the line, oh come on.

Reassure on tham and they had to start the entire thing over and do lol etching different, I think that upset her the most. She did excellent at the CSEC level with that teacher. I know had she been there for her she would have done better. They are under a lot of pressure because of the rift between the teacher and the board/principal. But I told her she is to put that aside and do what she has to. Well she just got to go to the classes because they now don’t have a proper Econ teacher.

i’m just worried now that her suicidal thoughts don’t return when she tells her parents that she failed, ive met them and i know for sure, they are going to be very angry and many of those mockery terms will be used

August 14, 10:57You are most welcome angel, I know what you mean by the parents, that is so much stress on the kids, maybe your friend failing was for some Eason, to crush the pride of her parents, let her know that even though the parents may be harsh on her, they would I know tell her all sorts of horrible things, but let her know you are there for her and others as well, at it is her life she has to live, not her parents. Eventually the parents pride would simmer and they would stop being rough on her. Maybe if the see her working hard and diligent next time around.

Remember, your friend is young and got her whole life ahead of her, this is not the end of the world, you are never to old to continue with your studies,
Everything happens for a reason, God has a plan for us all and even though we may not understand it, it is for our own good.
Can your friend go back to the school and do it over again? This time apply herself fully.
My daughter did not do well in her exams, but she got another year to make up, I hope, but I will encourage her to keep on trying until she succeed, how your friend parents are understanding and encouraging.
I know i’ve been hard on my daughter because I know she can do better, but it is no reason to give up and do anything silly.
We are here for you whenever you need us.
Wish Amaica was here also to give her wise advice.

1Remind the unsuccessful candidate that he or she is only human. It happens to all of us some time or another. Sometimes a sensible reminder of the reality that we all err or make mistakes, helps calm and stabilize the situation. 2Show the unsuccessful candidate the advantages of not letting things slide. Encourage him or her to look to the positive side and to embrace practicing persistence. Remind them that the only real failure is to give up too soon. If it seems that the unsuccessful candidate lacks the motivation or the determination to continue trying, overcome this by focusing on their previous successes in exams, tests, and other challenges, and the strategies they used in those situations.
Take a moment to help them identify the benefits of continuing to stick with their goals over abandoning them – this makes an excellent writing exercise as creating a list can help them to see things more clearly.
Listen to all they want to say.Let them open up and put out all the frustration. It will surely make them feel good. Tell them that failures make us stronger.
If you have time, have a look online for stories about people who have taken exams or tests more than once. You might be surprised how many people have done so! But more to the point, these people eventually succeed because they don’t give up.
3Refrain from mockery and damaging comments. Nobody benefits from being called useless, stupid, or having it insinuated that they’re incapable of ever getting a thing right. Those kinds of barbs stick and are not motivating; worst of all, saying such comments will assure the person that they are a failure in someone else’s eyes, causing them to believe it. If you’re already emotionally involved with the person in question and feel a sense of anger or annoyance that they didn’t pass (as is the case with some parents), take some time away to calm down before broaching the subject.
You’re more likely to be upset if the exam or test involves monetary losses on your behalf. Try to see this as being about the person, not the money. And the money needs to be something that you believe will return to you some day even if it doesn’t seem so now. Your support of the candidate will be beneficial in the long-term, whereas going on about lost money will only further rub in the pain for the candidate who is already more than aware of the costs involved.
4Become directly involved in trying to remedy the situation. Be sensitive to the needs of the candidate when seeking to implement solutions. For example, adult education often involves juggling other roles and responsibilities while trying to achieve a college or part-time degree or diploma and this can eat up a lot of the person’s study time. Are there ways that you can help practically? Offer assistance where you can. This might involve helping run errands, helping with household chores, driving them to the exam center etc. Lending a helping hand in small ways can lead to better exam success.
Something to consider is to suggest that the student take a break to refresh before tackling the learning process again. Getting away from it all can restore a battered sense of confidence as new sights, sounds, and experiences bring back their sense of purpose and drive. If you can accompany them and this would be a pleasant thing for the student, then do so.
For all students, consideration to more intensive tutoring might be useful. Talk to the student about his or her feelings concerning such tuition and work from there.
If there is a chance to sit exams earlier than other students, be supportive and alleviate the student’s workload elsewhere so that he or she can concentrate just on studying in the lead-up to the exam. This also includes being thoughtful about how you spend your time, such as not making too much noise around the student, or rubbing it in that you have time spare to enjoy yourself while he or she is knuckling down.
5Build and work on the person’s self confidence. If the student lacks in self esteem and confidence, seek ways to enhance their feelings of self worth. This can be easily achieved through motivational and self help literature and books. This kind of inspirational material is freely available at public libraries or from friends. Of even greater value for many people is the gift of your time to listen to them and to help them through challenges by talking together. Often we are so busy that we don’t realize that simply having the chance to talk things through can make a huge difference to a person’s self-esteem and can help them identify ways of fixing things for themselves.
In addition to building personal self-confidence, be sure to help them with building exam or test confidence. They did something wrong in order to fail and it’s important to pinpoint what that was so that they don’t repeat it again. Encourage them to talk to the teachers or lecturers, to read reviews of the exams or tests, and to purchase books that can help them improve the studies in that field.
It might also help to ask them if they feel calm and confident when taking an exam. If not, it may be necessary to focus on some calming skills.
6Encourage consistency and commitment. To pass a difficult test or exam, being committed to this success is vital and important. Ultimately the amount of time spent on learning material will ensure if the student passes or fails. Encourage them to break away from a “fixed time and schedule” for studying. Learning and revising the test material can be done at any place and at any time.
Consider making some short-term personal sacrifices if these would help. Things such as not having the TV up too loud while the student is studying, and turning off your light earlier when it’s bedtime so that he or she can get a full night’s sleep.
7Help the student to create stirring visions for his or her future. Success breeds success and once the student has a good handle on how to study successfully, this habit becomes part of his or her entire educational cycle. Ultimately, learning how to handle failed exams helps the learning process about failure in general; this leads to a better quality life and most importantly gives the person dignity and independence as an individual.

August 13, 13:12Amaica dear, that’s her Econ teacher, and it is not convenient to take her to her classes, so she goes to Mr. Ramsingh, who is excellent, but the last term she did not go to his lessons, the IAs is where she fall short, because of the last minute change, and she always making excuse about the teacher and her favorits etc, that teacher, she says has her favorites and who goest to her for lessons she helped them with theirs etching., don’t know.
But one thing, about the principal, since form one, my daughter has always have a problem and had to see the school psychiatrist. The principal made all kinds of promises and she never did anything about it. She is no going in upper six, barley scraped through. My experiences with this principal have not been good or positive.
But not making excuses, she has to do better, she is too careless. She will start back with Mr. Ramsingh and will make shire she don’t slack off going to his classes, she has to put aside differences in school and concentrate on what is important. She is easily influenced but others.

Well went to the hospital again today to collect meds, well what a crappy system, first time I went, I had to take a number, they’d call and take your prescription, then call you back for the meds all the while you sit in between. Well this morning, there was a terribly long line to show your prescription, then you get a number, then you sit and wait till your number to call, then you sit again and wait for your name to be called, now there are old sick people, people with little kids, sleeping kids, and they all have to stand and wait in this long line with only one window open, later on i saw they opened another window. What crap to stand in a long line just to collect a number.
I was better before where you take a number sit and wait your turn, if you missed your number by more than 5 you have to take a new one, jeez, waited so long standing, so sorry for this girl with her baby, a chubby one at that sleeping and she had to stand in line, thank goodness there are some good people who let her sit and when it was her turn they called her, some people grumbling oh she not in the line, oh come on.

I know it is very trying for her, not all children are the same, she is still very childish and immature, but she is very brilliant, and she knows it. I have to keep encouraging her, she can do better she know it. Will make sure she goes to all her lessons and not let her have her way,
Amaica she did not do good in the economics, because during the IAs the teacher left and the principal put a lot lf
Reassure on tham and they had to start the entire thing over and do lol etching different, I think that upset her the most. She did excellent at the CSEC level with that teacher. I know had she been there for her she would have done better. They are under a lot of pressure because of the rift between the teacher and the board/principal. But I told her she is to put that aside and do what she has to. Well she just got to go to the classes because they now don’t have a proper Econ teacher.

Remember she attempted Cape in her first year.. Still got another year..

Now she got to buck up, she slack off too much, looking at Dr. Who, and listening to music and you tube videos, her room looks like a tornado pass through, two o’clock this morning she in my room saying she think she hearing a mouse in her room, it was a lizard,
So bit of a depressing mood, I am glad for Amaica here, I am occupying myself reading and chatting with you all.
Jeez, she is at it again, teenagers are so difficult, I was difficult but not like this. God give me strength to deal with this.

August 12, 22:43Yea, I know Amaica, but still, she has to know I am disappointed and she need to work harder, she now begging me to get some channel to watch some show and she would pay for it with her money, well, I told her after this disappointing grades, I am not allowing her any more prevail ages, she’s gotten enough freedom, now to really tie her down. The MIL only complaining that I always going satsangh and disrupting her studies, well I never, there are so many children born and grew going satsangh in the temples and taking part in everything, and they do so well, excellent with distinctions and scholarships etc., maybe if she was more involved she would have been all rounded and done better,
Oh well, all is not lost, let me see how she handles the second uear, hope she learn from her mistakes and don’t repeat

Jeez, i don’t but can’t help hearing what is going on, the rest of the family are usually glued to the tv for it and I have no choice, sitting at the computer and hearing, well, there’s this one guy with an imaginary friend named desmond, a spirit of some sort, and he visits him and causes the unexplained to happen, don’t know if it is funny, scary or just plain disturbing. 😀
