Producer Farhan Salaruddin talks about his ‘acting debut’ in his Colors’ show Beintehaa
Recently, the romantic story Beintehaa on Colors saw an interesting sequence where a stranger showed the hero Zain (Harshad Arora) the importance of loving one’s partner. And not many would know that the heart touching cameo was portrayed by the show’s producer, Farhan Salaruddin himself.
The man who has launched the show under his banner Fortune Productions has never faced the camera and shares that he never intends to do it in the near future also. “We had to shoot the scene that day only and since we could not manage to find an actor to play the part, my team encouraged me to go for it.”
So were you excited? “Not really, as I was very nervous. I have never acted in my life and thus it was a strange feeling and thankfully it went off decently.”
When we tell him he did a great job, Farhan laughs, “It was a very important cameo as that would have taken the love story forward and it led to a lot of pressure on me to bring out the right emotions. I think it went fine and having done with that, the story will now head towards some really interesting twists and turns in the coming episodes.”
And who helped you sail through the scene? “Harshad is a fabulous actor and that scared me a bit for I did not want to spoil his scenes (laughs). Harshad who has improved and become more confident with time was very supportive and put me at ease. Most importantly my director Maan (Singh) helped me the most. I am happy that my presence did not cause any damage to the scene or the show.”
Farhan further talks about his popular show, “The beauty of Beintehaa is its innocent and simple love story which we will be maintained throughout. So even if there is high end drama in the show, it would be subtle and simple for sure. I can assure that there are some interesting sequences coming up, so keep watching the show.”
We are sure the viewers will, Farhan!
