Producer Asit Modi to make an appearance on SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta to commemorate its 5th anniversary

A payment of Rs 50 crores ‘only’ may not seem like an astronomical amount when all the members of an uppity and affluent housing society are asked to pay the sum collectively. However for the residents of the middle class Gokuldham Cooperative Housing Society on SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) it is surely an impossible feat to pool in the same amount. We have already reported to you about the residents being blind folded on their journey to the venue where they are supposed to make the payment to see superstar Shah Rukh Khan when they open their eyes.

In the upcoming episodes it will be revealed that King Khan isn’t the owner of MAC Associates. SRK takes them to the real owner who surprisingly turns out to be Asit Modi- the maverick producer of SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta. Asit will appear on the series in Subhash Ghai fashion who keeps on appearing in his movies.

Here the creative team will take the cinematic liberty of making Asit a part of both worlds- fiction and reality. He will be the owner of the fictitious MAC Associates as well as the real Asit Modi who heads Neela Telefilms. He will congratulate the entire team for having completed five successful years. This series hits the milestone of five years on 28 July 2013.

The producer has made appearances on the show before. Though this isn’t the first time he is coming on the show, it is something both the viewers and artistes always look forward to. Ambika Ranjankar who plays Mrs Hathi on the series said, “We love to have Asitji around. He gives great creative inputs for our serial. The audience also likes to meet the behind the lens personalities and hear what they have to say about the series.”
