Preeti Puri Choudhary in Star Plus’ Mahabharat

Star Plus’ Mahabharat (Swastik Productions) will present the tale of Lord Krishna before embarking on the journey of the real war between the Pandavs and the Kauravs.

After reports of Akhilendra Mishra being roped in to play Kans, Krishna’s mama, here comes more details on the show. The very talented Preeti Puri Choudhary (last seen in Aaj Ki Housewife Hai…Sab Jaanti Hai) is all set to play Krishna’s mother Devki in the magnum opus.

Being her first mythological show, Preeti sounded excited and shared, “Mahabharat is such a popular show and I am really looking forward for my character to roll. The set is huge and it’s a wonderfully different experience altogether. Currently we are shooting for the jail sequences, so I am dressed in light clothes. But when I’ll shoot for the ‘maharani’ avatar, it will take a toll in this hot weather for I will be decked in heavy jewellery.”

The actress has already started shooting and her character will hit screens sometime next week.
