Preet Kaur returns to TV; replaces Fahila in Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se
Actress Preet Kaur has enjoyed a 15 months hiatus from acting and has embraced motherhood to the hilt. The lady, who was last seen in Zee TV’s Ram Milaayi Jodi, would now get back to TV with Zee TV’s Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se (FilmFarm India).
She will essay the role of Sunanda, wife of the character Sooraj, played by Bhanujeet Sudan. Actually, our readers would remember a story flashing on our site about Fahila Rehman of Bani fame playing the above-said role. However, the actress has now been replaced by Preet, is what we get to hear.
A source states, “Fahila was finalized to play Bhanujeet’s wife, and was about to start shoot. However, there was a slight miscommunication, and when Fahila got to know that she had to play a mother to two kids (a 7 year old and a 5 year old), she backed out of the project. An overnight replacement was sought, and Preet came into the picture.”
Preet will play the role of Sunanda, who would be a very self-obsessed and class-conscious lady. She would have two kids, but would have given one kid to her brother-in-law Veer (Chaitanya Chaudhary), only with greedy intentions to get Veer’s property.
Preet Kaur has started shooting for the show. As we know, Preet is married to actor Vishal Nayak in real life.
When contacted, Preet said, “Yes, I am finally back to acting. There was a time when I used to turn down offers as I was not confident enough to leave my kid at home. However, my husband has been a solid support for me to get back to acting. And this role is simply different, as I have till now enacted bubbly and positive roles. I am thankful to my husband, as he has shouldered the responsibility of taking care of our daughter when I am busy shooting. As for the role, I will be playing Bhanujeet’s wife, a lady with two kids. She will be negative in nature.”
Preet’s entry will be aired soon.
