Pratigya 31st August 2011 Written Update

The Thakur women stride forward ..GD walks in like a amazon warrior intent on bringing down her Victim,, Seeing the aggressive demeanor , SS thinks it is prudent to sit down and bear the onslaught ..GD demands to know whether SS has lost his mind and what was all that lunatic behavior outside bringing shame to the family…Points out that SS is not cut for such stuff ** Uh-Oh..never say Senile to a Old man who is well aware of the fact ** ..Amma digs in with her own taunts … SS tells his mother to be quiet with folded hands ** Kuch bhi Kaho, SS always has given due respect to his Mom ** Krishna too piles it on his father, says that Ganga cannot stay here anymore and has to go … Ganga is not liked by anyone and it would be better if Ganga is sent back to her place… SS gets up , looks at Krishna straight..tells Krishna not to be over smart, and to remember that Krishna is his Son and attempt to be His Father …SS looks at his house, says that this house is mine , I built it and I’ll do whatever I want …seeing the escalating tension..Pratigya intervenes to defuse the growing tension.. Pratigya pleads with SS to control his temper , calm down..accepts that all the wealth is SS’s and SS is the owner ..But ** here comes the much awaited BUT ..Pray continue dear sorry for holding u up ** But as a members of this family , all the members are concerned about the prestige and respect of this family ..and hence they are voicing it…Pratigya softly affirms that they do have the right to be concerned when elders are doing something out of the ordinary … SS is listening quietly to this impassioned plea..

Just then, Ganga walks in haltingly , painfully aware that she is the center of discussion ,Amma sees her, shouts at Ganga , orders Ganga to stay out .. Amma quickly walks to the door and begins to rip into Ganga , The words are filled with Venom ..Amma grabs Ganga’s hands and tries to throw her out ..All this has been watched quietly and in growing fury by SS **Darn, All of Pratigya’s efforts at conciliation comes undone ** SS orders Amma to let go of Ganga’s hand..

SS brings Ganga into the room, holding her by the shoulder … SS announces to the assembled members that Ganga will not go anywhere and will be staying on in the house … Pratigya requests SS to reconsider his decision , tells him that it would be better if Ganga was sent back to her father …SS commands Pratigya to stop her Bhashan ** Don’t look at me, I admit I have been frequently tempted but this time around, SS ordered her **..Pratigya stops shocked in Mid sentence ** Bechari , had become so used to uninterrupted 10 mins pravachan,,,it must have come as a rude shock **..Krishna has had enuf… He walks to SS, who is protecting Ganga zealously ** Salman Khan ka Asar hai Shayad**..Krishna threatens that the whole family will cut all relationship with SS if he continues his dalliance with Ganga ** err, Baba..A reminder..U n ur family r dependent on SS…it is not vice versa ** demands to know what relationship he has got with Ganga that he is discarding, disregarding his own flesh and blood … SS eyes narrows, he looks coldly at Krishna…looks at everyone ..Then roars his announcement , causing reverberations of the hall …SS announces that he will marry Ganga and make her his wife !!! ..The whole family are astounded, overwhelmed by this unforeseen blow ..All stand looking dazedly at SS…Gd wakes up.. takes SS to task for being so brazen and tries to slap some sense into him..GD raises her hand which is caught in a vice like grip by SS who warns GD not to try anything foolish like that or her remaining few days will be filled with misery..SS again informs the family of his intention to marry Ganga, promises that he will follow up on his proclamation ..walks in to his room to sleep off the hangover..leaving behind a quivering volcano …** Pheww. I was seriously getting worried for AS**..

Shakthi bites out bitterly that Grandpa announces his desire to marry a young nubile girl on the day of his grandson’s naming ceremony …while Krishna goes into damage control mode,, Krishna assures everyone that SS is in an inebriated condition and will be alright once the intoxication wears off and things will get on even keel ..

Amma moans out that things will not be normal anymore, moans at her fate, wishes that she had burned to death instead of living to see this horrible day ** Amma, forgive me for sticking it into u, but remember da’ling ‘Jaise karni vaise bharni **..All the other’s look on in pity at her..while tears gather in the eyes of lonely Ganga who stands all alone in the room..

Komal comes in as usual bemoaning her lot in having such a father… Aarushi points out to the welfare of the unborn child and asks Komal not to cry..Komal does not hear this and is completely involved with herself…Shyam tries to comfort her..Adarsh punctures the comforting balloon and proves himself equal to selfish Komal ..
